The camper is a HI-LO and is desirable. They are easy to sell and bring good money.

I own a 1978 Ford tow truck just like that one mine's got a 400 underneath the hood all numbers matching and still runs and the hydraulic winch even still works and I got historic plates for it I am restoring this truck those trucks are hard to find they are collectors items have a great day I like that one
THAT F350 IS CLASSIC
Same cab mounts on those floors are nothing to fix as long as the frame is solid and the engine runs and especially the winch works I sure like the truck it's nice but like to see you do something nice with that truck have a great day
I was offered six grand for my truck and it wasn't even running yet and I told him no have a great day
Well that's exactly what I've got but mine is red and white a red body with a white top and red interior but it's all in perfect condition I'll come down and drag that truck from you not a problem haha just having a joky day

Kool old Ford F350 with a Holmes 440 wrecked bed I learned how to Tow with a truck like that back in 1990 at a Junk yard hopefully it will be saved
Back in the ninety's, I was eight hundred miles from home when I saw a 65 GTO going to the shredder, you can't save them all.
the old Wrecker IF IT RUNS would be great around the yard for pickin engines and such.. Ran one like it for years.. Actually worked for a Holmes Distributor.. we sold, assembled, and Repaired Holmes wreckers.. as well as did Recovery and Towing..

Ya I thought the same thing, looked ok, like maybe could drop on another frame? I live in Florida all my life 2 family owned junkyards, but neither here now or back in the day, they all had bad ass shops

Hi Silas, I've owned a 440 Holmes on a 71 F350 Ford for about 35 yrs and it's not for sale at ANY PRICE . It'll pull anything I hook to or it'll pull it's self in half! It's been welded back together twice over the years I've owned it. They don't build them like this anymore and never will.
Save Them. I know that I'd like to have another one!
Dang those square body cabs looked not terribly rusty. But can't save it all...i would it closer haha. Also that Holmes 440 with be would be good to have
good foundation to build off of , swap in a small block tranny tank tires well you get the idea.............square bodies are the tri fives of the new century
@@rsprockets7846 Absolutely. Good foundation to work from. A little rust work is easier than entire rocker, cab corner and floors. 👍

The tow truck is a twin to the one my dad owned in the early 1990s right before he passed away.

That tow truck is beyond cool!! Those are the tow trucks I remember as a kid.. I was born in 1970 so that truck would not have been that old then.
I remember watching the TV show Chips,The bad guys all had those tow trucks to run around in and bang up in the end
@@jeffclark2725 Yes sir I remember it well. I would watch a lot of chips myself as a kid it was one of my favorite shows.
I used to have a hot wheel of that tow truck when I was kid, except it was blue and white.
We had something similar in Australia,back in the 70's and early 80's.We even had V8 Holden (now not longer made unfortunately) ute/tow truck.You could haul almost anything with them.
My neighbor had a body shop and had a Ford wrecker like that and still has it today restored and running.

You should pull the wheels off while the fluids are draining. It will save a ton of time. Like I say, use your minutes inside your minutes
I have to keep the car tilted way back, so I can’t reach the tires on that side. Also, when I’m not filming I immediately hop back in the loader. That way if the wind shifts and the oil starts going a different direction I can adjust to keep it from hitting the ground.

I just had to laugh when Silas said he would "just pop the head off". I could tell that thing has been around for a long while and would not give up being taken apart very easily 😉
Keep the tow truck. Put it up high on a pole and use it as a billboard 😀, or maybe someone else could buy it and do something similar 😏.

Always a day late and a dollar short, whish I wasn't moving and had a place to store that generator, well such is life. A sugestion, the next time you get one, offer it up as a emergency power back-up generator. Some thing alot of people don't know is that those generators can be converted from gas to propane which make them easier to start much more reliably.
Silas i love the old white caddy think its a 64 maybe 63 was hard to see at that angle. Hope it saved i love it and like to have it. Love your videos and like what you do looks like fun.

Th tow truck is something which should be a private owner's collection. Amazing find. I must say, humankind has never looked smoother than you do with that sun hat. I mean, if James Bond owned a junk yard, I see him sipping his Martini (shaken, not stirred) wearing that hat.'
Drove a '73 F-350 wrecker much like that one back in my college days. Wasn't a Holmes tow setup, can't remember the name but they were built in Kansas City.
Have you ever thought about filling a 20 or 40 container full of good stuff and putting it on eBay, auction or similar and selling it on the www. Just a thought. Cheers cobber.

The 73-75 Ford F350 tow truck is awesome! What engine does it have, 360, 390, 460? Looks like a good project vehicle for someone, maybe you can sell it as is and make some $ off of it? Square body Chevrolet trucks had some good parts but, not many. Can't keep them all especially when you need the room. I hope you don't crush the Ford tow truck! Take care, good money for 54 Mercury bumper guard fog lights!

Took another look while being crushed, defiantly where good looking rockers on those cabs, Sad. but scraper only see's money on scale of weight. with scrap pricing falling, don't waste time on crappy 90's/ cars

That first Chevy truck is stripped but looks solid (save the bed). For the money nice ones are bringing it might have been worth the time to set aside and put a door on it.
I don't know about there but here a winch tow truck you need a special license to drive and operate.
$10 is good on that bike part if it's loose when you get it. But when you figure taking them off the bike, put a tag on it so you know which one it is, photos, write a description and post on eBay, plus the time to pack it up and take it to the shipper, plus the eBay fees... I don't know that you lost much just scrapping that stuff.
I would love to work there with the trains going by. lol

I live in Torrance, Ca., I take walks twice a week. The stuff I find in Allies. I know what you mean when you say, ''wow, I sold more in three days than last month''. I do have a 1974 Marilyn Monroe greenish monochrome print on canvas from 1974,(she's nude on her belly), photo by Bert stern. Maybe you or someone that reads this interested in her for 600.00. Research it. All are welcome, I'm sure I could get anyone a picture.
There are new package laws for shipping to Germany. If you haven't registered, you may have a problem with those magnetos ever making their destination. Just a heads up. I'm running about 4300 ebay listings; all auto parts.
Where do you have to wrap the crushed cars I guess maybe just so you don't parts don't fall off in transport

ooo poor old onan.. that was a w2s.. 3000 watts.. too bad no one bought it.. thats how it goes.. i would of but im in flordia.. should defiantly save that carb and any ignition parts, and generator end small stuff.. there are very hard to find and lots of collectors looking for parts.... ohh.. well never mind... smash! ouch..
I'm in Florida as well. I see a lot of things in Silas' videos that I want to save, but I live on 1.4 acres, and just what he's crushed since I started watching the channel would fill my property from end to end.
But I keep watching, both his channel and others. When I find that one vehicle worth saving, I'll be calling.
