When you talk about how hard your dad was working, buying up businesses, scrapping and collecting old and interesting vehicles it's clear to see where your passion and work ethic come from. ❤ I'm pleased you take us all along with you when you can on here and on More Adventures Made From Scratch too 🇬🇧
Another great Adventures Made From Scratch video ! When can we expect another Treasure Hunt video - always reminds me of searching under the back seat of the second hand vehicles in my younger years!
When you are in cars, keep the moldy wheels and seats at a distance, If it's a sore throat, try Chloraseptic spray. Vitamin C 100 mg. daily when chest congestion hits, that works, too. I know; cause I just keep going, too, no matter what. AND....Yes, one cleanup at the end of the process saves time. Good video, gave it a like.
Get well soon Silas! I've been under the weather for two solid weeks now but I have to keep going too. Just doing normal things makes you feel so weak though. I keep getting told I need time to sleep to get rid of it. I just don't have that time 😢
Thank you for the nice video, Silas. Take it easy with this hot weather. Do you have air conditioning in your loader? Wow... An airplane fuselage on a train, I don't see that often. Looking forward to the next video again! 😎🥵👍
I would rather watch Adventures Made From Scratch than any movies being put out today. Much more meaningful content. Sit down with some buttered popcorn and enjoy the show!!
Glad your feeling better . You killed me when you walked by that 61 four door Caddy and told us it was already sold, because I need a good parts car or some good parts . From just getting a glance it looked like it had some of the parts I needed. Take care of your self and make sure you drink enough fluids when you at working.

That was interesting hearing the costs in wrecking those campers. I was watching and thinking to myself this doesn't look like its going to be that cost effective for Silas, I was giving you a lot less on the plus side. The costs of dumping rubbish these days is a real consideration, no mater which country you are in. If its any consolation Silas, im watching this at home with a bloody cold as well.
Feeling Unwell - hey - the Work has to go on - my Hat's off to You ! 2 Green Planes on that Train - WOW ! Crush them Baby - Crush them - Great Fun ! Camper Vans biting the Dust - very Exciting indeed ! Please Rest Up over the Weekend Silas ! Great Video and many Cheers from Australia !!!!
I was wondering how far along you were with that stack of cars all piled up and with trees growing around them. It's good to see you're finally making some progress! Hopefully that excavator will be able to stay around until you can get most or all of that section done, would be great to see the final tally of what's in there.
Love your videos. The hard work pays off. What ever happened to that 1979 silver Ford mustang you got two months ago. I had a sister that passed away. That had the same year mustang.
After some time now, watching this channel, I have a much better understanding of this work you do. I think back in the day, if a ford Econoline had the V8 engine, it was valuable because of the difference in the area to fit a larger engine, most were six or even four cylinder vehicles. I had bought one for the purpose of fixing it up and never looked inside figuring the guy is honest, how bad can it be. Outside of it was so clean, rust free and ran like a swiss clock. He told me the doors were locked and he lost the keys, so I just believed him. Turns out that his cats had been living inside of it, they had used it for their bathroom! When I tried a couple keys in a door, it opened up like it was new and then is when I started puking like death had hit me like a ton of bricks. That man knew the whole time and so I was going to go over and kill him with my bare hands, I was that angry. That fellow had moved the same day I got this rig from him, as he had collected his money and then left like Grant took Richmond! I waited for a week or more and then went over with a mask and turned the key which had been laying in the seat, yeah really lost hu, and the engine started like it had been running all day. I did not enjoy trying to get at least that engine out for another project but the smell just kept overwhelming me... There was feces on top of the engine. I told the local scrap guy about this rig, told him he could have it but he had to move it and by the way ... I was honest and told him of the smell and about those cats. He laughs and said, can't be that bad! I had left the doors open with the wind blowing through but my neighbors were complaining about a oder in the air so closed it up and when Gary, the salvage guy came, he opened a door and started puking also. we closed it up and took it to a gravel pit. We poured diesel and old gas on and inside of it and then torched it off ... it burned all day as we added wood and other stuff we needed burnt. After all of that, we opened up by prying doors till one was enough to see inside, .... You are probably calling me a liar by now but it still stank and just had a now burnt smell that was overwhelming bad.... I took my excavator and dug a hole ... we buried it.... this is back in 89. I heard a few later that someone had bought this property... and they moved a lot of material around including digging out that van. They said it was so sad to see what must of been a really nice rig. Gary told them about how and what happened. Yes most of that smell was gone but no kidding, when it was moved around, stuff fell out of the back of it and it still had a oder... manageable but still smelled Silas, I apologize for a long comment and so if you did read it, thank you. I am kind of curious as to where this metals go to. Our steel mills or foreign countries??
That Ford Econoline camper is almost identical to the one I have. Mine is a 1971 in mint condition. My parents bought it new and it was always kept in the barn. I think the engine in mine is a 390 and it has a four speed manual transmission. Too bad you didn’t save the fenders. The fenders always rust out on those vans. It’s hard to find them in good shape. The ones on that camper looked rust free. I understand that you are very busy around your yard and you can’t save everything but at least you feel good that those two campers are gone.
Are you concerned about the EPA or somebody complaining or sick in a finger at you saying hey you bear the stuff in the ground? You know me I only wish you the best. But when you said that part about bearing and putting a dirt over it. But I know a number of farmers who buried untold numbers of 57 Chevy cars and use them for ground fill. Ellen Mansion 57 Chevys because you were about 150 of them but there's probably three times that many of other cars. Allow that predates me. But they were driving into this ravine and drive next one on top of it. Don't worry they would take the batteries out because they were too cheap to leave the men thankfully. And now they Farm on top of it. But other than natural flow for the water to go into a creek Haven't really thought about all that until now. Another great video of smashing crash 'em Silas
The Jeep you crushed was a Commander, not a Patriot. The Patriot was a small 4 banger SUV in either FWD or 4WD. The Commander could be had with 3 row seating and the 5.7 Hemi, 4.7 V8 or 3.7 V6.
The railroad is so close outside your gate that I'm wondering if there was a way to load your bundels on a railcar. You can put more bundels on those than a truck and possiblt aaccess buyer with better prices. It looked like there was a small siding there where the railcars could be parked.
I have a 76 Dodge RV Low miles and very good 318 motor I can't even give it away , the camper is crap. I assumed someone would love that motor for a hot rod build. It's going to the auto pancake machine in 2 days.
The issue is that mid 70s and newer mopar engines are smogged to the point that they are gutless and useless for hot rods. EPA regulations ruined a lot of good engines.
@@urbanurchin5930 if you look there is a number of tracks on the property I assume at one time the tracks were used and if no siding it is easy enough to have one put in
I noticed that the four rear tires on that Dodge camper looked to be in really good condition. Are you allowed to sell used tires in Kansas as it seems a waste to scrap the along with the chassis?
I have a motor home to scrap but its body is mostly fiberglass . This fall after the bees are gone i will saw it up and haul the body to the trash place. Not much fun.
I see you sent a car with alu rims still on and some with nonw, and i noticed the pile with mixed steel and alu rims. Why dont take off all the alu wheels. Here in Norway i get about $9,18 each wheel if its 10kg but it must clean alu. I understand that you might not have time for that, but maybe take a chance with some young homeless person. At the junk yard here i noticed a container with alu rims, and everyone had major damage, my best guess is that they have a tool that pinch the rims to get the tires off quicker. I dont have all the facts so thats why i ask.
I'm feeling much better since recording this in case you were wondering!
It's amazing what a good days rest will do for you.
Glad you are feeling better
You need a grapple and cutter attachments for the excavator
Those planes on the train were cool !
.... ??? ..... maybe coming out of the Boeing plant in Wichita ??

Was that a plane train 🤣👍
Fun content - Thanks for your Adventures.
That lift from te trailer was so nice: no glass on the tailer, no pounding or useless husling.
Feel better! Thanks for sharing the plane fuselages going by. Good stuff
Thank you for clearing it up I appreciate everything you do and for taking us along
Awesome as per usual
Excellent silas cheers 🥂 😊
Awesome video Silas God bless !

crazy how much that side window on the first car flexed before exploding

Good one thanks 👍👍👍👍👍
Good work Silas
The carnage in this one is greatness!!
I guess a burn pile is out of the question.... how about a roll-off that mysteriously catches fire ever so often.
Silas loves making messes, doesn’t he? 😂
That is his job

With the BNSF running near by, I’m kind of surprised you don’t ship out scrap by rail.
Much less money unless it’s final product like shredded steel
