There is NO way Dolly would be photographed without hair. She has worn wigs forevvvvver because it would take too long to style her hair for each show. That person they say was her without makeup is Judy Ogle her personal assistant. Dolly has made a pop rock cover album and as a Prince fan, her version of Purple Rain is awesome.
You should check out Barbara Walter's Dolly interview from the 70s. Not because it was a good interview, Barbara was condescending and disrespectful, but because Dolly shows her true colors, and if it was unclear - she's the whole rainbow ❤

@@brittreacts, This is not how Dolly looks without her signature wigs. It is simply a fraudulent photo of Auntee Dolly, who happens to have short hair that is just short of shoulder length. Dolly’s hair is a bit of dish water blondish & grey color. Dolly does go out unless she is completely dressed, that includes one of her wigs. Look at the wrinkles in her face, have you ever seen Dolly with so many wrinkles? Who took this photo, where was it taken, and for what reason did Dolly allow this to be taken? There is no way Dolly would let a photo like this to happen. Dolly always looks beautiful when she steps out. This is someone being cruel or poking fun at Dolly. Do not let them fool you. I still ❤️ Dolly. 🌹
Thanks for the trip down memory lane. Being about the same age as Dolly, I recall sitting around the wood stove (in my $15 a month boarding house) watching the Porter Waggoner show on a 15" black and white TV ... and having the same discussion about Dolly that you just presented.
I'm 70. Although I'm not a country music fan, I've observed Dolly's entire career in real-time. She has always had a kind personality. I already knew that. Something I think is more significant than why she wears wigs is her musical accomplishments, such as writing one of Whitney's biggest hits, I Will Always Love You.

You probably already know Dolly wrote and performed "I Will Always Love You" years before Whitney Houston did it. My favorite non-singing Dolly moment is when Whitney was at the top of the charts and her version of "I Will Always Love You" was everywhere. Dolly was on the Johnny Carson show and was asked if she liked Whitneys version. She said two things, one, she loved it. Two - She looked at the camera and "speaking" to Ms. Houston said she had all kinds of songs she could sing if she wanted. Why? because it "Takes a lot of money for me to look this cheap!"
Side note - I did a search of the woman you were "angry?" about. She is Judy Ogle - Dolly's personal assistant.
I don't know if you are wearing a wig or weave or whatever, but this look with the bangs make you look more beautiful than usual.

I have always loved Dolly. I used to watch her on the Porter Waggoner Show. I called it The Dolly Parton Show. I love how she sings, I love that she's very honest about her signature look. She is a brilliant businesswoman. She is very giving, she's brilliant. She has "played up" the dumb blonde persona while making BANK!! People may have laughed at her back in the day, but they don't own their very own Amusement Park.

I grew up in Chattanooga TN in the 60s, and my family used to go downtown on the weekend to watch live wrasslin' with my family. It was usually followed by the Porter Waggoner show, which we would often stay to watch.
I remember when Norma Jean left the show and Dolly took over as the girl singer. For some reason the women in the family hated it and wanted to leave immediately. The men wanted her to stay for some reason. All us little gay babies (I was maybe 6 or 7?) also wanted Auntie Dolly and her wigs and makeup to stay. It was the only thing that brought me close together with the straight men in my family.

IMO (I'm 66) I think the term girl power comes from a time when women had very little power (no bank accounts, credit cards, etc) and the women's lib movement changed all that. Every accomplishment that gave us more freedom was attributed to 'girl power'. However, you are correct in saying it can now be called just power & bosses, IMO.
That Lady they said was "Dolly's natural hair" is actually Dolly's best friend from childhood Judy Ogle who from the beginning became Dolly's Personal Assistant for all these Years! You can see that friendship form in Dolly's movie Coat of Many Colours which is a movie form biopic of her childhood.
Dolly actually portrayed “The Painted Lady” in her biopic “Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love”.

Dolly is a blessing. From the dirt under her kidhood bare feet she rose and would NOT be denied. I love everything she stands for - a strong person, a gorgeous woman who didn't conform, a great singer and songwriter, and a soul who makes your day a little kinder just by hearing her speak or sing. She is a Joy and.. I laugh as she is like Willie or Cash when he was in later years... everybody wanted to perform w 'em and i don't think it was the money grab.. it was to feel a little of that Spirit.

If you know anything about Dolly, you would know where her look originated. Recently, she performed at halftime during a Cowboys game my wearing a cheerleader outfit, and she rocked it.

For a lady who has to be near 80 she deserves to do whatever she likes with her appearance. She has a great backstory and a wonderful voice. She's awesome.
