First fished this venue 1962 when it was run by the London Anglers Association. The LAA had part of the weir pool and a long stretch of the river down stream to the Met Police land. Lots of large barbel, chub and roach to specimen level. About 1964 someone at the LAA forgot to renew the lease and some chap took it over and started a lucrative business (good for him) much to the LAAs annoyance and the members dismay of losing the best fishery in the South.
