My cousin sold his Ferrari Pista and bought a 765LT. He sold his Pista in 800-900k range last year and bought a brand new 765lt. I told him despite being limited car a Mclaren 765lt would never hold its price like a Ferrari Pista or speciale. But let me be clear that 765lt is far better car than pista and more fun
I think UK mclaren prices are always lower because there is not enough second hand demand and due to the rhd there are not a lot of markets outside the uk who would be willing to import. Same with rhd Aston martins. Prices are usually much lower than Europe. US is anyways insane…
570S/GT is such a strong entry level vehicle - nothing at this price point can really compare. I think it's going to stay stable during the next couple of months.
I love your channel. Can we get a video of which cars/brands have the lowest/highest mileage depreciation (not age depreciation)? Porsche vs mclaren vs ferrari vs lambo, etc.
@@mg-by7uu Sure thats the easy part, I want to know where hes finding historical vehicle pricing from. Current market you can just search but he has data from years prior which doesn't seem to be as easy to find.
Started wotching yr vids and they are v good. Sold my gtr in april 23, and made 18k. So i now have around 150k for a Mclaren 720s. However, atm im beig paid to wait, with uk economy tanking, and interest rates climbing to an expected 6%, i can see that dealers are now pricing 18s for 17s and 19s for 18s since i have been looking from mid April23. I can find nobody in uk who produces this type of content for the UK market, any chance of a UK McLaren vid??😂 ATB
For something a little more attainable, would you please do a price trend analysis on the Audi TT/TTS/TT RS? Going back to the Mk1 TT would be great. Thanks in advance.
Given we are post Covid+ bubble, you should consider an analysis of expected normal depreciation versus current prices. E.g. 2019 launched car would have depreciated...30-50% by 2023? But with COVID+ bump it is still 20-30% above 'normal'? Thus the question becomes...is there a 'regression to the mean' ahead, or, has a permanent one time bump (currency deflation?) Occured?
The poor quality control and engineering really hurt these cars. The potential of ridiculous repair costs out of warranty definitely scares everyone I know away. It’s rarely an issue for modern Ferrari and Porsche GT models now,and the resale prices reflect that
@@jonathanmayberrydesigns You should try driving it before being so critical. If you had, you would be shocked at how it transforms the power band and delivery. The gain is substantial, the delivery seamless, and the integration is flawless both on the Artura and 296GTB. Once you have tried it, then criticise all you like. Finally, if it does not change the trend then thats a great loss for McLaren but good news for buyers who wait for used examples.
I would be a rich man if i would know that :) . A 2020 car is older so it makes sense that the curve will flatten sooner. Other than that, there is no real indication that 720s prices are bottoming. If this is something you care about, i would monitor the price trends.
Many factors to look at. First is knowing the plans you have for the car as in are you using it for marketing at all or any kind of business expense then making sure what way you need to buy things. Do you plain to modify it, how long plain to keep it. Big part is buying at the right price and if select things make it harder vs easy have to weigh out the costs. Example had a 570GT cost around 55k even when I got it close to best price at the time till time sold it. But that 55k was take out of taxes owed one company. 248k car got for 205k sold for 150k, whole sale market at that time was 200k-180s. To me was not too bad but to some they would not want to lose this much, makes it hard given the options & color was not many and non available.
@@patrickj5731 I was looking at buying a 2020 720S Spider at very end of last summer and all the nice ones were anywhere from $300k to like $320k, they have dropped about $20k since then but I don’t see them continuing to go down a ton considering that the 750S (according to Mclaren) is sold out for first year and hasn’t even started production, not to mention the price has gone up considerably from the 720S, and there is not anything major that’s different with it. Majority of 2020’s had MSRP of $370-400k so they have gone done fairly steep already
A 2022 is gonna be in for a steeper drop than a 2020 for sure. You'll still have more years of warranty with a 2022, but you can buy extended McLaren warranty if that's a concern.
He also doesn’t take into account the price of a warranty on a cars like these. Used cars will need about $10k per year minimum in warranty to be safe. A new car comes with a 3 year warranty. So used car maybe cheaper but can cost more in the long run. Unless you want to take the gamble.
The extended McLaren warranty is about $4-6k a year in the US depending on the model. However, depreciation is usually gonna cost a lot more than typical maintenance and repairs. Buying new to save money on out of warranty costs almost never makes sense.
McLarens - despite the babbling of people that don't own them - are pretty reliable. Early models of each series needed some sorting but after that they're easy to look after. Most of the failures Ive seen are on tuned cars. I've never bothered with warranty in all the years I've owned them.
Id recommend modifying your $145,000 comparison for the 765; the 2021 cars are all coupes, and the 2022 cars are all spiders. So $145,000 is not the expected yearly depreciation but rather, it's the price premium for a spider over a coupe
Gallardos update, please. They are becoming more meme ish. Also please comment on inventory for just about any car. It seems like it’s up compared to this time last year unless I am wrong?
Thanks for all your updates!! Now that the 2020-2023 Shelby Mustang GT500 is no longer being produced, what can we expect to happen? And why do they all keep selling over MSRP even when used???

Thanks. I just bought a 600LT about 1 month ago for 230k. Wish me luck.
Congrats on the new car!
Hows it been? I'm considering making that same move. Is the car too rough to drive on regular roads often?
@Mrchasez it's AWESOME. No it's not too rough. I drive in track mode everywhere unless there are potholes or construction. It's fantastic. Go for it!
Great video! I love the Mclaren content. I’m waiting to buy a 650s spider. Keep up the great work!
Recent 675 LT auctions haven’t shown any interest above the $230k range. It’s a brutal resale market for McLarens.
What should I pay for an SLS, a ford GT a v10 r8 manual and a 997 manual 911?

Has the price decrease trend on the 600LT stabilized at this time or is it still decreasing?
Will update this in approximately one month.
