    The pitch charges everywhere are getting eye watering, the way around it for myself is to use rallies to keep prices down. Great informative vlog again though👍

    19p per Kwh for electricity is very very cheap indeed. Are you sure it wasn't 79p? The sign you showed was ambiguous and some sites were charging 88p a year ago. It has come down but not by that much!

      Hi, I am sure it is 19p per KwH :-) The sign says £3300 for March to November, £3600 for 12 months :-) Thank you for watching! Kat

      @donaldtrumpet24 It's a common misconception, but actually, campsites can charge for electricity usage. However, the price can vary depending on the campsite's contract with the electricity provider, as well as any additional costs associated with providing and maintaining the electrical infrastructure. Thanks for bringing up this point!

      @donaldtrumpet24 Thanks for the clarification. You're correct that campsites can't profit directly from the sale of electricity itself. Instead, they typically charge a fee for the use of the electrical hookup, which covers the cost of maintaining the infrastructure and administrative expenses. The actual price per unit of electricity is indeed set by the electricity provider and regulated by law.

    There are caravan sites that let you stay all year , its rare but im living proof of that.
    P.S i have lived on the same site since 2002 and I have never worked in any form for the caravan site.

      It's true that there are caravan sites with licenses for year-round residency, but they're quite rare and often come with a hefty price tag. However, it's important to note that if a site doesn't have a license for residential pitches and exceeds the 28-day stay rule, they could risk losing their license altogether. It's great to hear about your long-term stay, but it's crucial for both campers and site operators to adhere to these regulations. Thanks for sharing your experience!

      @@FreedomSeekers-FS where I stay has no residency license and the council are fully aware of the situation but choose to do nothing because of the acute shortage of accomodation,last year they tried to impose council tax but so far have failed.
      Its rather comforting that everyone is breaking the law 😁.

    Surely you could cheat the system and pull your caravan off site for a few days every 28 consecutive ones on a seasonal

    • @FreedomSeekers-FS
      @FreedomSeekers-FS  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, the whole point of a seasonal pitch is keeping your caravan on site for the season. To stay within the 28 days rule, it is you who needs to leave every 28 days, not the van :-) Kat

      @@FreedomSeekers-FS I totally get that a seasonal is a yearly pitch. But you can still take the caravan off site for a holiday elsewhere

    • @FreedomSeekers-FS
      @FreedomSeekers-FS  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Absolutely! 😊 That's the beauty of having a seasonal pitch - you have the flexibility to enjoy holidays elsewhere while still having your own spot to return to. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment! 🏕️ /Marek

      Hi there. First of all brilliant video and very informative, thank you!
      So I’m a 49 year old man, single, no dependents. I’m looking for a new life! I love caravans - reminds me of my childhood.
      The thing that is bugging me is this thing about needing a permanent address. I am looking at selling my home to start this new life of freedom! Apparently, Stirling offer special car and caravan insurance for people with no fixed address.
      But in your video you mentioned that you need to give a permanent address - I’m thinking I could just give a relative’s address? But they might not be comfortable if I register at their home for council tax purposes too?
      How do people work around this problem please?
