This is sooo nostalgic for me. I was 11 in the summer of 1991. I used to tune in to these WC local forecasts all the time back then. Not only for the weather report obviously, but also when I needed to set the clocks in my bedroom. The early 90’s were by far THE BEST years of my childhood!!

Do you have any TWC footage from then too?

God, listening to this is the most calming shit there is. Local on the 8s, my favorite thing for the last 30 years
That's a surprise. I had no idea N flavors were ever narrated. Really cool song, too. It somehow seems to fit this era so well. :-)
Summertime back in 91
Funny thing about this is that I'm watching this late night and the time stamp is almost 3AM lol
1991-1999 Weather Icons the Best
First time I've seen Kansas City in the Travel Cities Forecast!
Dan Chandler's voice-over was rarely used in most "N" flavors.
I remember this different N Flavor very well.
30-years ago on this day!
Back when TWC was GOOD!!!
track hot
Heh, Atlanta. I came from Minneapolis where we got tornado warnings and subzero temperatures.
Phoenix, 107. Sounds about right!
What was the point of the N flavor? Alot of repeated pages.
It allowed them to rewind the studio tape.
@@twcclassics So it took them 5 min to rewind it all?
@@ArchiverUnknown I guess.
"Thunder Showers". You don't see that anymore. Now it's hyped up as a potential catastrophe every time it sprinkles or the wind blows over 10 mph.
Back then, actual humans wrote the local forecasts. Now, it's all computer and algo produced. You'd see lots of different verbiage back then.
@@Eltiempo10 I prefer "thunder showers" or "thunderstorms."
Ah yes. The days before useless, overly animated graphics.
