- Here is a very simple little project you can do when you are next out in the woods. A simple variation on the “canoe spoon”, that helps make it that bit more special.

More inspiration from you. From watching your videos I have made jungle knots and toggles. Now time to make a decorated spoon.
The last thing I carved was a mankie ole boot and I ended up jabbing the knife through my left hand and severed 3 nerves . I gave up carving for a while . But I might give this one a go mate 🙂

Just a side note: Have you changed camera or something? The FPS on your last 2 or 3 vids have been have been really low. not sure if anyone else has the same thing?

I carved my first spoon a few days ago! Is it normal to take about 4 hours?? Lol! You make it seem so quick and easy, I honestly was not having a good time towards the end but felt like i needed to finish... it's an okay spoon, still not very nice for 4 hours of work though.
I used a peice of maple that had recently died, i was wondering if maybe my wood choice was bad? My knife was sharp
