**Staying silent can be a powerful tool. It can be used to protect yourself, to avoid conflict, or to simply let your actions speak louder than your words. But it's important to use staying silent wisely. If you stay silent when you should speak up, you could be doing yourself or others a disservice.**

Introvert is another word for shy. and shy is another word for something like "easy frightened"

The more people there are in a room the quieter I get haha
But also I've been told I'm a great listener, and when the person I'm having a conversation with finishes their train of thought and even asks me what I think I'm usually good at answering because, well, I listened :)
But also if you enjoy being somewhere, and being "too quiet", that's just you man. Enjoy yourself.
Sometimes people might comment on it but as long as they accept and get you, it's worth to keep working on that relationship in your own ways. If they don't appreciate you, however, and continue using "too quiet" as mockery, you can always find someone more accepting!

    • @couththememer
      @couththememer ปีที่แล้ว +12

@@Kal-El207 Then teach me how to socialise properly with people. Teach me how to not have language barrier issues. Teach me how to not have the fear of being judged. Teach me how to not be afraid of the crowd.
I'm not saying that I'm different or I have mental issues or have severe traumas or anything sort, but I'm just saying that I'm not good with people, and I'm fully aware that what I think are "negative thoughts" are just stress.
I don't hate my life, and I will never do. I love my life, and I love the one true God the most. I possess emotional, religious and moral restrictions.
Y'all keep saying this, and I'm tired of it. It's not that I don't want to. I'm trying to, but all I get from ever talking to people was them judging me even further, saying things that hurt me personally as an introvert who really is trying really hard to change.
I know that there are people who actually helped or accepted for who I am, but I am just here to tell the other side of the story.

A trick leaders often use is to remain silent in a meeting where there are conflicting points of view. Just listening to everyone and their points and making sure everyone feels heard is important. Once everyone has had their say and made their arguments you can then come in at the end and summarise the different opinions as you understood them and make your decision. This way you are not in conflict with your subordinates and you have let everyone's opinion be heard without forcing through your own opinion. It's a very effective approach but you must refrain from the urge to speak until the end.

Being silent is not passive, its concentrated strength. It is a form of control. Controlling impulses and emotions instead of them controlling you. This cannot be more true. Im a silent person in general and I agree you really do see other povs way better when you're silent aka, thats when youre actually trying to understand other peoples perspectives because all you're doing is listening. When you're talking its always talking over other people aka youre too busy trying to get your own point across rather than actually listening to what others around you are truly saying. I see it all the time. That stage of comprehending and taking time to understand what others are saying gets replaced by your talking.

This story beautifully illustrates the transformative power of silence! I appreciate how it encourages us to embrace quiet moments instead of filling every silence with chatter. The journey of Zen reminds us that sometimes the most impactful thing we can do is to listen. In a world where everyone is eager to express their opinions, it’s refreshing to hear that silence can be a source of strength and wisdom. The seven truths about silence listed at the end provide such valuable insights-especially the idea that it can enhance creativity and help us be more mindful. I’m definitely going to try to incorporate more silence into my life, whether it’s through daily meditation or simply taking a few moments during my day to pause and breathe. Thank you for sharing this powerful story; it’s a great reminder to cherish the quiet moments!

Sometimes I like to be silent and just be. For me it's good to be silent for a little while in Meditative states or reading a book. However, your throat chakra will block where you repressed voice which may not get much use will start to manifest into throat infections. Thyroiditis and can in some instances throat cancer. When it's our time to powerfully speak our truth w must do so. During my health issues I had to understand why my throat was always itchy until I had a foot massage and alot that I didn't know I came to know and understand. The body likes cycles where it likes to communicate and sometimes it won't depending on the person. We live in technology age where we have forgotten the power of silence is definitely golden to bring our minds and body back into harmony and bliss back to centre.

Not always so...my silence disconnected me with a family member. I felt if I was silent about what happened I was protecting them. But when the time came to tell them, they were furious as why I didn't tell them sooner. In protecting them as a mother, I did the wrong thing in their eyes. So silence doesn't always hold true. Your damed if you do and your damed if you don't.

ive stayed silent almost my whole life i know and witnessed a lot of things, ive seen the beauty of the world arround me that ive never seen before, i know so much about the people arround me *but* something grew inside me has time moved on ... i found myself feeling alone and detatched from the world arround me, no one knew who i was or that i even existed even tho i was with them for a long time, i wasnt a part of anyone's life. I felt detatched from the world arround me like if i was nothing but a ghost.
you must learn to be silent but if you stay too silent then there is no difference between you and a dead man.

I have taught skills to many people. Hands down, without any doubt, the ones that speak, the ones that ask questions, the ones that push the boundaries, have always been the best (and occasionally the worst). The silent ones, on average, are good, rarely the worst, but never the best. They don't make mistakes, but they don't learn from them either. The moral shouldn't be "know when to be silent" the moral should be "try, and if you fail, learn, try again."

As an autistic, I already struggle with verbal communication by default. So I'm usually quiet because I prefer to only speak up if I actually have to say anything important. I see no point in talking just for the sake of talking.
When people noticed that I actually listened and dont just let them speak, they opened up to me more and more, some even revealing their deepest secrets to me. They know I won't tell anyone, and they value the advice I give them, because I don't believe in telling people what they should to. I just give suggestions that perhaps they don't see the whole picture. Usually, they come to the conclusions all on their own. But they need to talk to someone about their feelings and problems to reflect themselves. And if they want my honest opinion, I always warn them beforehand that I'm not the kind of person to sugarcoat. Beating around the bush just to spare a person's feelings can do more harm than good

Being silent is only powerful if you plant a seed for others to talk around.
    Then you observe them.
Then you know who to trust and who not to. You can map out the social networks of who talks to who, and what values they hold. Particularly if the seed is polarizing.
Just yesterday, I reminded a coworker of a funny divorce situation, then I just watch two women talk.
I now know to stay away from those two at all costs. I only say hello, and adios.
A person can become a fool by trusting everyone, and by trusting no one. Stay wise.

I learned to be silent most of the time, because I understood that in a great portion of circumstances, there's no need to speak,, as it is mostly a stupid game of people's ego and unresolved issues. In almost all the events, aknowledging the situation and controlling your emotions is tbe right choice. People already know what they're doing and thinking, there's no need of time wasting discussions. Only speak when it makes a difference. Obviously this requires a great strenght of character l, because you can't project your insecurities on others. You take it all for yourself, deep inside and continue.

As a silent person I can say that it has many benefits, but I can also say that it gave me and others problems because I didn't take action and spoke out. It usually ended okay but it could have ended better if I took action and wasn't silent. I'm still a silent person but I've stopped being too silent? (If you know what I mean) and I'm doing much better. So I guess I'm trying to say it's fine to be silent and it has it's benefits but I recomend to be able to take actions once in a while. Thank you for listening to my podcast lol
