They should use CATL condensed matter semi solid state battery pack for gemera with 445wh/kg in pack,with 14 kwh battery capacity it will weigh less than 32 kg which is amazing for 14 kwh battery,CATL has confirmed that this new tech will hit mass production in late spring 2024,which is 6 months before starting of the production of gemera,i hope they will use this new tech and gemera will be the best and most advanced and high tech vehicle mankind has ever seen.

gonna sound dumb but it looks way better in person, I saw a wild regera about a month ago on the UK motorway, it doesn't look like other cars, the light reflects differently off the paint and the dimensions and brightness of the taillights just look alien, I've seen tons of other cool cars like moslers, ferraris, mclarens but the koenigsegg is seriously on another level

The paint is 5 times thicker and has 5x the layers of a Rolls Royce Phantom, the best on any car.

I didn't take notice of it before JWW mentioned it: The gearbox is F1 levels of rapid, holy shit.

Faster than F1, the Koenigsegg gearbox technically never disengages. It's continuous drive, it just slips in and out of gears. A marvel of engineering.

Speaking of Gemera, CVK actually revealed a few days ago that they are making a version with Jesko's engine too. They somehow managed to squeeze that V8 into the Gemera without any compromises.
@@colinf.7314 It has 1600 on E85, but when they did this run it was on 93 i think so it "only" had 1280 ish when it did this run
I can not imagine what the feeling is being on the passenger seat in Jesko, let alone driving it. The pure joy they feel is just...WOW

LOVE IT...and 1000 times more than a Rimac.
Very different beasts... With unlimited money and a lot of these cars in the garage, there would still be times I'd take the Rimac, because it's a GT that also does track, more so than a track car that does track like the Jesko.
For a 1000 km drive, and no need for big luggage, the Rimac might be a great way to get there. Fast as you can wish, less tiresome to be in, and over the distance, about as fast as refueling. You don't eat and pee behind the wheel of a hypercar, after all.

@@TommyPrime4 Yeah, top of my list for sure. And I'd NOT be hauling around 3 tall friends all the time, even tall lady friends. I'm kinda bittersweet about the old big battery big e-power very being skipped on. I fear they've done away with EV-only driving as well, as they did with Regera when Rimac came up with a smaller battery that offered the needed power. With the original Gemera, I was thinking the engine would not need to be running most of a day's driving. Short charge cycle, then silence for 30-60 km, and repeat. The new version seem more hardcore, less a long distance cruiser. Lower weight and clever gearbox, larger fuel tank, it does make up for something. Jesko engine now fit, oh my... and 800 hp hybrid to overcome the extra car weight and take it a bit more easy in traffic. It's a great trade-off, but also a whole other drivetrain really. I suspect the old version just couldn't keep the battery at any SOC during performance driving, once the battery was depleted, it would get ral slow and hairy. Especially as the ICE was geared for 400 kph+ and only had a torque converted for short burst of double rpm. Very hard to drive and recovered battery charge. ICE only to the front wheels is a but meh for a hypercar, but it had the big rear motors for all the power you could need, but only when there was battery charge.
The gearbox is a good replacement for the torque converter, but now apparently the rear motors don't fit anymore, expecially not with the Jesko engine option, so that's a problem. Huge 800 hp motor up front...I'm curious how they'll dial that in, whether there are clutches or one-way clutches in play, etc. Does the Electric motor help drive the rear diff?? The rear ICE does drive the front and rear axle as well, I guess? Can the front motor disengage to do FWD EV-only and let the engine idle or shut off? Or can the ICE disengage and the e-motor is AWD capable? CvK was a bit vague about all that, such a short presentation only. We'll need to wait for the inevitable JWW videos...

It hit a top speed of 216 KPH (134 mph) at Goodwood and ran about 50 seconds with no prep (running on pump gas only), wow!
Isn’t it in mph? I would assume a car with 1500hp wouldn’t be geared as low as my little fiesta with 150hp 😂

It's right now limited to 7000 revs. It's wild enough already.

It will be the swan song of the combustion engine, not its savior. How could a $3 million dollar car convince someone to buy a Toyota Corolla over a Tesla Model 3? I think ICE cars will live on forever on race tracks, same as horses, you just won't see them on freeways in a decade or two.
@@Turtleback8024don’t worry, the lawnmower cars will stay around forever :) . There will be laws that allow low-volume, high end sports cars to continue using combustion engines into the far future.

@@ibuprofen_ they didn't even use E85 at goodwood and they pushed the same last year too. The only time Koenigsegg risk the car is for a world record run.

E85 won't make much of a difference on the strip of road since it will be searching for traction anyway.

What a timing. I just watched part 1 and part 2 of JP Performance video on pretty recent Koenigsegg factory tour, and as usual, you can see CvK as usual, mind-blowing people minds in the video. Highly recommended, and I believe you will appreciate more about what CvK has done and is doing with his cars. Part 1 mostly them speaking German, but part 2 is very enjoyable video if you like the technical aspects of the Jesko. Can't wait for them to attempt some lap record with the Jesko in the future.

I know it will never happen, but I would love to see a Koenigsegg Formula 1 team. The love for pushing boundaries and all things engineering and the focus on making as much as possible in-house would suit the sport well.

Formula 1 is way too strict, it would just stagger their fantasy. I think LeMans would be way better.
they did build a racecar. but when they were going to start. the requirement of having 75 production cars of it too race. was increased to something like 300. meaning that they would never be able to build enough cars to be allowed to enter whit the vehicle.

That is one of the best sounding cars I have heard. Before you guys came out the free valve technology I had thought about using electric actuators to do the same thing. That way timing could be tuned based off a crank signal and air fuel ratios. Self advancing and what not.

The Jesko is the first Koenigsegg that I've truly fallen for. I appreciated the grumble of the previous models but the Jesko is my favorite by far.
It sounds almost like a 918 on crack, like if you strapped two enormous turbochargers to a 918 and fed it race fuel.
