Sometimes, I'm so focused on the current chapters or arc that I forget about the past of the series until it's brought up. When I look back on the whole One Piece timeline (not just Luffy's life, but also Roger's, and any other previous events as well), I'm mesmerized at how detailed this universe Oda created is

It's not as if Oda created the whole thing in his head before starting the series. If you can't imagine a universe like this for more than 20years then you're not really a good writer
I explained the whole story of one piece to my dad just for him to subscribe to the grand line review, so that he gets regular one piece content uploaded straight into his TH-cam feed. And he liked the story to be honest. His favourite arc was, Alabasta. O yeah.

I attempted this minus the getting him subbed to GLR, and it did not work well. So, a little backstory my dad is in the hospital because he fell, (he’s fine now this was a while ago) and he was really bored in the hospital and had nothing to do except literally stare at the wall. So I gave him chapter 1 of One piece to read, and he was actually bored of it within the first five seconds and started to read the first page like a 1st grader reading at like 5 words per minute lol.

one of the main reasons i initially got into one piece, was because someone had mentioned that it had lots of depth, and a huge level of world building. And as a fan of Tolkiens work, that appealed to me lol

Actually that was an OST made for the first one piece movie, it was later used in other parts of the series. It relates to the movie's villains of gold and the love of oden by a side character. Still I suppose its possible Oda made a pun with the naming with the animation staff.

It's actually mindblowing how many event happened at the same time. Since one piece like most stories goes arc by arc our perception of the timeline of these events is vastly different than when we look at them in a timeline chart. The more i watch the more i think this video is a necessity

12:34 I believe roger had some variation of the “weather-weather” fruit, which would explain this, and also that the current wielder of this fruit is dragon, since he was shown at the pirate king’s execution, and he was shown to control the weather in some way or another in his introduction in east blue when he saved Luffy from smoker. Also I think it’s pretty convenient that whenever dragon shows up, it’s always in the midst of a storm or some form of bad weather. The supreme commander of an army wielding the power to literally change the weather as he pleases is broken as fuck if you ask me.

So much happening in the world of One Piece, not just in Luffy's small "grain of sand" in the vast desert of time. Thank you for lining up these events together. I never realized how so much tragedy of the Straw Hats, namely Zoro, Nami, Franky, Chopper, and (by association) Law and Rebecca (During DoFlamingo's hostile takeover was when Diamante killed her mother and Sugar turned her father into a one-legged toy.) happened so closely together, sometimes within the same calendar year.

Interesting for a timeline video...turns out Roger lived from 1447-1500, the pre-timeskip era is 1522, and the post-timeskip era is 1524...maybe the timeline will reach 1530 or 1550 by the time One Piece ends

WOW, great video. One Piece is truly the GOAT of all anime. Great animation from the start of ep 1. Great fight scenes! great chaacters that all differ and never blend in! You can have a million characters and they're all unique. I wish it could air forever! 1000 episodes just isnt enough for such a great anime!

My problem with Sanji right now isn't his being unwilling to hit girls its never been that and I really dont think people who like or liked Sanji before care about that shit he has always been like that the problem is that Sanji is supposed to be one of the the 3 and is also supposed to be right right up there near Zoro in strength. My problem with Sanji is that for what feels like forever he hasn't been on par with zoro, I mean come on... Right now zoro is up there with luffy fighting yonkos and my fucking guy can't even get away from one of kaidos generals?? Wtf is going on here. Another thing is everyone spent 2 years training and increasing their strength or knowledge and all he appears to have gained is the ability to skywalk... Oda clearly realized this wasn't good enough cause he gave him that fucking suit from his family that treated him like absolute trash for his entire life and he goes and wears it now because he appears to not have gained anything in his 2 years... Where is the fucking Sanji from Alabasta arc who was a strategist and able to fight on par if not a little lower the zoro??? Now all we got is this guy who can't pull his own weight when the stakes are the highest its ever been I expect this shit from ussop nami or chopper not from one of top 3. If luffy and zoro can fight yonkos then sanji is supposed to at least be able to fight people like jack, katakuri, perospero and the little
