Guy should be considered for the wider ABs squad.

Regular season American Football games played in London..? Japan need games before the WC. NZ need to blood players against international teams and test the squad depth in case of injury. Japanese fans want to see their team play and will turn up. Sky gets the rights to the game. Every party involved in setting it up makes money, the teams benefit, the fans enjoy it. I saw the game at the Chichibunomiya Rugby Stadium. The number of spectators were 22,283. All Blacks XV was strong. Japan XV couldn't fight against AB XV. I hope Japan will promtly be all ready for World Cup 2023 France.
Folau Fakatava and Akira Ioane showed why they should be in the All Blacks squad. The attacking threat option. Jack Goodhue, Ruben Love, Stephen Perofeta, and Bailyn Sullivan all looked dangerous. Good result.

He’s prone to errors at crucial times. Played excellent 3rd test Ireland last year but dropped the ball cold on attack when the All Blacks were coming back into the game. I think he could still be an excellent option as an impact sub.
This NZ team needs more game time, even against top sides, I’ve always preferred our 2nd team more then the NZ Māoris because so many good players get left out cause they don’t have Māori heritage
The 2nd string team has always flipped and flopped who sits in that spot. The Colts, U21s, AB XV, Junior ABs, NZ Development now NZ XV. They can't make up their mind who is that 2nd team. The Maori team is consistent and is one of the oldest teams across NZ Rugby. In modern times they rarely get to field their strongest line up doe to ABs duty for most players. Only when the Lions are here do they seem to field their strongest line up.

Ioane still useless. The Japanese tight five just have no ability to gain the advantage line and the starting loose head for Japan not fit enough. Leech is the man. NZ still really poor at breakdown accuracy. They continue to lack any genuine fetchers for the most part. Japan too many handling errors and their lack of threat on attack made the NZ side seem a lot better than they were and kept the pressure off them which is where a lot of these boys will get found out at test level.
Wasn't able to watch the whole game. What happened to Warner Dearns? He played against the ABs in the end of year tour last year and he was immense as a lock. Also, Himeno wasn't playing either apparently?
@archvermin not sure about Dearns, but I thought Himeno came off the bench, although I never heard his name called by the commentators in the game. I hope the Japan xv isn't just their test side by another name as Jamie will struggle if he doesn't have some other players still to come for the tight five.
