Everyone raved about VDMs solo effort against england but for me, the last clip which was is second from that game was the better try. Every player in Scottish team was involved in that passage of play and the skillset and attacking stricture was fantastic - the killer passes in the last phase before the score were from two, tight 5 forwards - that's what rugby is about!
Clicked on this thinking 'Great, finally one of these compilations which won't have that Duhan van der Merwe try against England on it'. Then I got to the end of the video!
The commentary on the last clip. Amazing. To think we went so long without beating England, nevermind how long we went without beating them away from home. The composure and the confidence to execute this try is insane. It's a pity we just don't have the same confidence when we play other teams like Ireland and SA (albeit they are better teams obviously).
Lovely video and great to see that second Duhan try v England rather than his own. As a Scot when our backs are to the wall rarely do we get an attack so right, every player making yards and keeping the ball alive. Russell’s pass to Steyn a beauty as are the hands from Brown and Gray to put Duhan away and he still had a bit of finishing to do! Now you get to do it all over again with a European double header then the six nations! Great work as always!
@@AndrewDavidForde Rodrigo Marta scored a scorcher though against fiji that won us the game Thank you for spreading portuguese rugby you have a great channel here Have a good one

Agree. The best tries here are when the team do it, not one individual. DVM’s was a great try but the tackle from Dombrandt was pathetic.
Also... the sound come out of Scott Hastings when he put it down over the line... pretty much echoed the same sound I was making during that game.

I swear it's every video now...
It's not 'that' Van der Merwe try though!
It's Van der Merwe scoring against England, it still hurts to watch 😭
I could watch it on repeat.
Same game but it's not *that* try. It was the other one.
That VDM try v England is way better than his first one imo
Andrew Forde is a God amongst men.
Amen
The New Orleans/San Diego try had me grinning from ear to ear!
Your hard drive must be about the size of my shed.
God, there's nothing like rugby to brighten up January!
The speed of Grant Williams in the first try is astonishing. Even when he's running in support.

the 2nd van Der Merwe try is as good as his solo effort imo, unbelievable accuracy and phase play to score the winning try
How did Tyrone Green’s finish against Newcastle not make it to this list
Zimbabwe's try just a slight forward pass 😂
Genesis Lemalu* for the Perpignan try
Ah my bad!
Brilliant
wow that American commentary is really testing to listen to...
Great vid sir andrew
