    I totally love my 500. I agree with everything you've observed. Great looking and surprisingly quick when needed. I assume you're in the UK somewhere. What a beautiful place to ride. Stay safe. Looks like your technique is very smooth. I'm considering crash bars too, because you just never know when it might happen. Being aware of what's going on around you is probably the best way to avoid calamity. Happy trails to you.

      They're an amazing bike! I'm actually in Australia. Thank you for your word of encouragement Dale! Turns out crash bars were a good idea, haha. You'll see in my upcoming video as to why 🤣. Agree, I think being a rider you have to be very aware and vigilant. Happy and safe rides for you too!

    jeepers, i am in Florida. i have the 2019 Rebel 500, with an orange tank. i am 5' 6'' tall. my Rebel is perfect. i just started back 4 months ago. it is a great looking bike. people have asked me what it is. and they like the style. i love that road your on, big sweeping turns. i have added floor boards to mine, feels more comfortable than those skinny pegs. lets see, oh yeah, has enough power for my skinny butt. when riding, move your fingers like playing a piano, lets you know you don't have a white knuckle grip on the handle bars. the jacket your wearing, i wear mine, even if i am only going a couple of miles. i want people to see me, while they talk on their phone. neat video, enjoy, be safe, again great road to cruise on..

    • @andymoto
      @andymoto  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, love the Rebel! The Great Ocean Road is so great to ride on 😎 Here in Aus the fluoro vest is a requirement when you first get your licence (so I'm looking forward to not having to wear it lol) but I'll still wear it when other people are on the roads...so yeah pretty much all the time. I think floor boards would be cool for those longer trips and I will keep the piano fingers thing in mind 🙂Safe riding to you too!

      @@andymoto I bet you'd have no problems on the 1100. Just put it in rain mode, and it becomes a soft and gentle giant. I personally use the programmable user mode, set up the way I want it. I had the opposite issue here in the US. I was waiting for 500 for months and there was this 300 just sitting at the dealer the whole time, so I just finally settled for the 300 since I was dying to start riding. It's a good bike but lacking a lot in power and I really want to start taking lone road trips. So I'm thinking about the Indian Scout for the next bike.

      If it meant not being able to ride I would have just went with the 300 too! Whatever gets us riding! Yes! How amazing does the Indian Scout look?!

    I grew up riding in the desert of AZ as a kid and racing motocross. Went on to race expert class MX for years. Even though I got podiums all the time & could have gone pro, I didn't want to go that fast. I recognized that speed is in direct opposite proportion to safety. So, when I ride my Rebel, I now go slow as a 60 y/o man. I've learned that the way to ride is to ride slow & easy. Going slow buys you time and time buys you options. Watch the tires of cars that are about to pull out to see if they start to spin. I ALWAYS ride with my right index finger resting on the front brake. That practice will give you a lot more quicker response if an idiot pulls out in front of you or an animal runs out. Just resting your right index finger on front brake and riding slow & easy are my best advice to you. Be safe Sister.
