The name on Miyagi's passport in his secret box, Keisuke Miyagi was how Miyagi was introduced in the opening scene of " The Next Karate Kid" when he recieves the medal of honor at the WWII ceremony. This is the connection to bring Julie Pierce ( Hillary Swank) back. BTW honestly Julie Pierce fighting scenes were most impressive. Hillary Swank is a natural athlete. There's a reason Clint Eastwood cast her in Million Dollar Baby which she won both an Oscar & Golden Globe. .The most accomplished actor in the franchise
I like seeing Mike Barnes, but with Silver in Jail? What is the purpose for it? That is what he wanted the most. After all these years, wonder how many people could say Barnes needs to get LLAID!
Daniel needs to understand that Myagi is just a person. Myagis legacy isn't damaged by this discovery. It actually reaffirms him as a decent human being considering his life after.
Daniel’s obsession with how perfect Mr. Miyagi was has never been healthy. Of course he had to go through trials and tribulations to grow to who he became.
Daniel and Johnny do NOT HAVE their best fighters on their team. They are being way too soft with the training. It should be: Miguel, Robbie, Sam, Tori, Hawk and Kenny. Kreese's team look like they are ready to go through anyone in their path.
Daniel's ego is the final villain. He will come to see that his mentor is no different than Johnny, Chozen or Barnes. Or himself.All of them had issues and they fought to overcome them. It's where you end more so than where you start.
Johnny is the same way too. He has an ego and Daniel is right in this episode. Everyone knows Hawk and Kenny should be on the team. Not Devon and Demetri. Catching flags is a dumb idea to determine who is the best fighter to make the team

I mean there is a good part of the fans that say that Danny was the real bully in Karate Kid 1 and I always found that worrysome and kinda insane since Danny only defended himself apart from that one punch at the beach and other than that Johnny and his boys partly even threatened Daniels life with their harassment

Another important note: Kreese valued Tory's feelings more than beating Daniel and Johnny. She's100% the heir to Cobra Kai. My daughter called it season 3 lol.
You don’t seem to understand that the “capture the flag” task made by barnes was because Johnny asked him to give Devon a fair shot. Johnny’s bias ruined his selection of fighters
I think Daniel needed to find out about Miyagis past, he treats him like a god that could do no wrong. He also has a hard time really absorbing the changes of people around him, he has never really grasped the fact that the others around him are more like Miyagi than he thinks. He just sees it as be like Miyagi or you're a bad person. So i think it was needed, but they could've done it much sooner. Also, i think they're doing it now so they can use it later in this season and the movie they have coming out
If you where 8 and grew up with your dad for a few years and knew nothing bad about him, saw your dad being a perfect role model and never fk’$ up. Would you remember him as a perfect dad to you?
@Wwasgud not if I found out his past was violent. I mean I thought my dad was perfect growing up, and looked up to him. Until I learned he used to abuse my mom and other people. Then I saw him for who he was and cut him out of my life. But then he got sober and changed his life, but I'll never give his past a free pass because of who he became. Miyagi had a fucked up past, Daniel needs to realize his isn't perfect.
One really easy thing to miss that I definitely missed my first time was in the Dimitri v Hawk fight, at some point Dimitri has Hawk's arm twisted and he says "How do you like it?", meaning that Dimitri still kinda harbors feelings about Hawk breaking his arm in S3. I think about that a lot when people continue to talk and act cordial while hiding feelings like that, and it just makes you wonder how often people have passed on never having expressed those feelings, and how often did the other person know or never find out? It's kind of fascinating and scary to think about.
The scene with Anthony were callbacks: "I just wanna go home" and "Win, lose, no matter." Some kids think their parents couldn't possibly understand them, but time and time again, although culture and societal norms change, life lessons stay the same across every generation.
Nice to hear how your thoughts evolved about last episode. I read an interesting fan theory that while Mr. Miyagi indeed "attacked" that guy and "stole" a nicklace, he did so because this necklace was stolen from his wife before. And after getting it back, the situation was framed to him being the criminal. This will be clarified (in fan theory) by Julie Pierce, which is the sister of the boxing guy we met.
Awesome reaction as per usual. I understand your point about the exercises to choose the fighters like finding flasgs in the forest, which may not be the ideal exercise to determine the best fighters, however the Sekai Taikai, like the creators said, is a tournament that we've never seen before that is unpredictable. Barnes also said this before testing the teens. There's not just gonna be the usual 1 on 1 fighting. Barnes also said he knew people who participated in it and he wanted to as well back in the day. He said he'd surprise them with events just like the Sekai Taikai would and he did.
Now that you've seen the Next Karate Kid. Keisuke Miyagi is the first name he's giving in the Next Karate Kid movie but his name in the original trilogy and show is Nariyoshi Miyagi. So they are working in the Next Karate Kid movie in the show finally because from season 1 the 3 writers always said all movies with Pat Morita are canon.
According to the creators, Daniel and Julie knew each other and trained together at Miyagi's house with Mr Miyagi in between the events of The Next Karate Kid and season 1

There are inconsistencies in Miyagi's story (first name and birthdate) between the films and the series, I believe this storyline about his past is to retcon some of those inconsistencies, as well as to have Daniel understand no one is perfect.
About Miyagi's box, I'll keep waiting for further info on the 'past Miyagi' story (I do find it interesting that they brought back the name Keisuke from "The Next Karate Kid"), but what I really want to see is what those 4 scrolls in the box are. They're surely not there just for props. What secrets do they hide?
As for The Next Karate Kid, this may sound as a surprise to you, but it wasn't very good! 🤣 But I do think it's a must watch for the fans of the franchise, and hopefully, we'll get to see Hillary Swank on the show. Again, the creators bringing back the name "Keisuke"... For me it tells me TNKK will be addressed.
2 spin-offs to be fair. Fan favorite Hawk suddenly staying around is definitely not an accident. SPOILER: The show's been dropping clues Tory will take over Cobra Kai since early season 3. Daniel said hes done as full-time sensei. With Johnny working full-time AND a baby coming, Sam will soon take the reins of Miyagi Do. Let the spin-offs begin!!! 😁
The creators of the show have told multiple times that they're going to do a Mr. Miyagi spin off show, so i think whatever they found in the box is going to add a lot of storylines for that show.
Hi. I'm sure someone mentioned this but Mr. Myagi's name was Ketsuke in "New KKid" so writers had to come up with something to explain it, explain the tombstone typo and a way to introduce Julie Pierce. I personally love humanizing Miyagi. Explains a lot. P. S. Love you two! Can't wait for your next reaction.
I think the theft part of this story is that Mr miyagi gave his wife some kind of jewelry. When she and the baby died i think they took it and sold it. Think he tracked it down (when he returned from war) and that's when he "stole it" and bad things happened because of it. That could explain why he changed his identity - but now where's the jewelry?
think about it like this. Johnny was arrested for assault in season one but he did something good, and theft c'mon he probably got it for the girl he liked
While agree with you on the Miyagi storyline, and hoping they are able to pay it off, the brilliance of the writers putting us in Daniel's shoes and feeling how he is feeling about what is going on is awesome.

Even me knowing the six of miyagi do (end of season 6a), I don’t see them winning the sekai taikai tournament but I do see another battle between cobra kai and miyagi do at the end of the season and miyagi do winning it

nah you gotta understand demetris side too bc hawk could’ve still applied and explored his options.. and the fact that he waited that long to tell demetri and also the fact that they’ve been talking about going to MIT since they were kids..demetri had every right to be angry in that situation
they had those events as selections to determine different things and aspects that will come into play since apparently the sekai taikai will hv 7 different competitions, not just 1v1 fights. so some events are geared towards strength, endurance, teamwork n speed, such as the capture the flag one as well along w all the other ones. SPOILER (EP5) but the captains fight in ep 5 is where they fight 1v1 bcos the captains will be fighting in individual 1V1 fights
Demitri is a great fighter no doubt about that but Hawk is one of the strongest & aggressive fighters in Miyagi do so he deserves to compete in Sekai tekai tournament and so does Kenny because with the students that crease is bringing into the tournament Daniel and Johnny needs a team of six fighters who were Cobra Kai because that's the only way that they'll have fighting chance in the sekai tekai and against crease New Cabra Kai Students.
If you have seen the next karate kid with Hilary swank , he is intro as keuski miyagi, so give that Julie’s story might be , before Daniel’s story . Kind of like Star Wars made out of order lol. So that boxing gym guy could be they way the intro Julie to the series to do a cameo . Just food for thought
Cobra Kai films in similar locations to Stranger Things (in Atlanta, GA) so that's probably why the woods scene at 24:19 reminded Nikki so much of that other popular show on Netflix.
And also the way that miyagi represents parental adoption as in Being influential towards any mind can save and alter for the better the best in ourselves and we can always process the love that comes in unity even when being the odds ones out. Sometimes the oddities can redirect through hope and acceptance in fulfilling a role in sn individuals life can influence and alter s generation.
They nerfed my boy hawk. The writers messed up on this one. Demitri is mote worried about college on the other hand hawk lives for fighting he enjoys it. This episode messed up the whole season for me.
Daniel says this is not the strongest team. However, he wanted to send Anthony so it feels like his family/dojo bias is still there. He is also struggling with incorporating any other styles with Miyagi-do, where Mr Miyagi wanted him to develop his own style but I feel he's not achieving that.
Next Karate Kid may not be good but I’m confident Cobra Kai will elevate the movie (like what happened w/ KK3 ) - hoping Hilary Swank returns in Part 2 or 3 to shed insight about Miyagi’s past. 🦅
One of the themes of this show is that people can change, and there also no perfectly good or bad characters in this show (exept Carmen and Amanda probably). If the idea of this whole thing is that Miyagi, who we know as this great and noble guy was a prick like young Chosen for instance is really interesting and bald idea, and its perfectly in line with idea of the show.
That’s not the point. Sometimes less is more. A comparison I’ve come up with is Yoda. Sometimes not everything needs to be revealed and mystery is good.

The rules of the sekai takai should be that you fight until someone can’t continue any longer. The whole 1 hit = 1 point first to 3 point system needs done away with for this.
It was sort of karate related. Similar to coyote creek from season 2. Hawk and Dimitri had to fight. Hawk lost because he let up and Dimitri took advantage. Also it allowed them create drama for kenny and Anthony potentially with out either of them having to fight off Devon. After season 3 the show hasn’t wanted to have girls fighting guys. They had Tory and Sam intercede with Kenny back in the first episode but they weren’t trying to hit him and he was holding back and even said I don’t want to hit a girl.

As much as I really wanted a Barnes vs Johnny fight, I would've preferred it with no fear of possible table-saw death. Honestly, I'm a little sad there's no sensei tournament, even if it was just a charity event, because it would be so cool to see the adults fight!
I like the Miyagi storyline. It's probably going to be something along the lines of Miyagi doing something he deeply regrets in his past which helped shape how and what he taught Daniel. Like the reason why Miyagi never taught Daniel the techinque to temporarly paralysed limbs.
I see as this storyline is maybe what made him the character we knew in the first karate kid movie and why he doesn’t like tournaments, I also see this storyline as not everyone is perfect even mr miyagi has a rough past he might of had a rough childhood or probably took the blame for someone else maybe that’s one of the reasons for helping Daniel
If Dutch is in prison, and Terry Silver is (presumably) now in prison as well, does that possibly open the door for those two to cross paths when they inevitably return? Or is that a stretch?
The "new" Cobra kai gang, A.K.A. "Kwon" and the others are a group of professional fighters and stunts, unlike the "actors" in "Miyagi-Do". that makes all the difference.
Devon is a people pleaser she wants to do well because she feels like she owes it to johnny! I feel bad for her because she is losing confidence in herself! This isnt there strongest team but i think its for storyline purposes!
It should be 3 girls and 3 boys as a team. I would go with Miguel, Robby, and Hawk. Tori, Sam, and Devon. Kenny should be the first alternate and then Dimetri.
Fair enough, here is the reason I like the Miyagi storyline. Its crucial to Daniels storyline this season. Daniel constantly says to other people don't act like that, its not the Miyagi way, or Miyagi wouldn't like this, or Miyagi wouldn't say this. Daniel has to come to terms that great man but he was also human who made mistakes. Now if this storyline of Robbery was something that happened just before or after The Karate Kid, I would be 100% with you guys that's stupid and that clearly wasn't the character we saw. The Robbery happened 40 years before the Karate Kid, 40 years!!. I checked his age Miyagi was either 28 or 21 when this happened!! Now I've heard that people want this storyline to be a mistake and Miyagi actually did something good instead and I would ask what would be the point? Whats interesting about that?
I guess that's the core of my issue with the story. Why did they have write Daniel to be so obsessed with this idea that Miyagi is perfect? They didn't have to go that way and make it so over the top. Now it's going to be a storyline focused on Daniel questioning and doubting things. But like I said, final judgement will be held till it all plays out.

@gjjijji That's my point... The perfect Miyagi storyline only became a big thing during Cobra Kai and his family being the ones pumping Miyagi up more it seems than anyone else. At this moment, without it playing out all the way, it doesn't feel like something that needed such a big focus. It's ok to have blinders on when thinking about or talking about your hero. Not every hero needs to have flaws revealed many years later. And yes, I very much care about legacy characters legacies in the content I love and how they are treated... what kind of fan would I be if I didn't care and didn't want the story to be a good one.
Ngl I was with Steve when they first opened the box but I do like the humanization of a superman like character such as miyagi but idk it felt shoe horned in a little to late but I wanna see where they go before I make a lasting judgement
They should all be on an agreement on their top 6 well at least their top 5 and let the 6th battle it out. Miguel,Sam,Robbie, tory hawk are easily top 5 and then let everyone battle to see who the 6th is they should know their top 5 after 6 seasons

4:10 If I've learned anything from Cobra Kai, it's that karate can't kill people. Only falling into a pit of deadly snakes and spikes can do that. Assuming that army captain even actually died. Did we ever get confirmation of that? Or did we all just assume!? Look at the facts. Miguel fell two flights directly on that railing and then bounced onto the cement stairs. Survived it. Chozen got sliced up by a samurai blade and left for dead face down in a pool of water. Survived it. Kwon totally killed that dude last episode. He's fine though, just has a bruise on his face. Lol
@@cptPabloMEDIA Karate didn't kill him though. He was on his deathbed already when they took him out of the hospital, that's why they were there. And he died overnight while everyone was asleep, even though we see them try to revive him after they woke up. That seems to be the only way that people do die in CK: off-screen.
I think Julie may still pop up (I don't want it) but it's the name miyagi committed this crime as that makes me think she will since that is the name used in the next karate kid.
Yeah the Miyagi thing makes no sense unless there is a bigger payoff later. It would have made sense if it somehow lead to The Next Karate Kid movie or something like the if the Gym owner would have been her love interest in the movie or something.
I agree, that it's a bit of a risk. But like you say they have always been respectful to the Legacy characters, obviously there's going to be some stuff that we don't know, but do we need to know everything?, just leave some mystery to the character it makes them more interesting..Obviously we will wait and see how it all plays out. One another thing do you think that Kreese might actually be Johnny's father?, I mean we don't really know that much about him, or what happened to him. Could they do an "Empire " moment in the final season?..🤔👊
They are trying to retcon the name and age confusion introduced in The Next Karate Kid. Let’s hope correcting this dangling mistake is worth the potential damage to the story. Let’s hope the show runners know what they are doing.
4:49 We are just assuming the information Daniel found is correct. Maybe Miyagi took the blame for someone else. All we have is circumstantial evidence and we're using it to concoct a story. I get what you're saying. Like you, Miyagi is a top character in my movie history, but the creators have collaborated with the original movie scriptwriter and discussed Miyagi's past together.

Okay Steven this is a point aimed at you personally , first off Daniel trained for 2 weeks to beat Johnny in All valley a two time champ we get it the movie made Daniel the winner but truth be told Johnny should of smoked Daniel but he lost pretty easily if you think about it he was down 2 to nil with a injured Daniel kind of hard to even believe but its written by the writers Daniel then goes and beat Chosen in a death match it clearly showed Daniel at his peak which then he comes back and is pretty much beat up by Mike Barnes the whole movie even in the match this International champ made Daniel look kind of weak and over matched the writers want us to see that Mike Barnes was better then Daniel they showed that but some time the under dog prevails in K3 it was Mike who scored 6 points to Daniels zero but he threw them away to lose one to nil ! So was Daniel better then Mike Barnes HELL NO a blind man could tell Daniel was scared of Mike and for good reason he was way better but he was pro not a rookie fighter. The point about this fight Mike vs Johnny if you recall Johnny fighting them kids he was rusty he was out of shape he pulled a leg muscle doing a kick we all seen it but Mike who hasn't fought or trained since 18 held his ground not only against Johnny but Chosen in furniture store which shows he actually at 18 was better then all of them even today give Mike Barnes 3 weeks to train I bet he beats Johnny he had his down even out of fighting forum. I love the Karate kid movies I find it hard to believe Daniel beat Johnny let alone Mike but he did clearly never should of beat Silver who should almost be as good as Daniel teacher so are we saying Daniel could beat his sensei like he did Silver ? NaH silver was weakened by I think Chemo treatments then fighting Chosen I think all of them would lose to Silver he should be closer to Master Kim level but not even close to beaten him. I don’t see it as “people can change” which we can see in all the examples you gave, I see it more as in “nobody is perfect, not even Miyagi” and yes he went through stuff, but that’s stuff the HAPPENED TO HIM, this is something that he did. And we don’t know the end of it

He also has a hard time really absorbing the changes of people around him, he has never really grasped the fact that the others around him are more like Miyagi than he thinks. He just sees it as be like Miyagi or you're a bad person. So i think it was needed, but they could've done it much sooner. Also, i think they're doing it now so they can use it later in this season and the movie they have coming out

One really easy thing to miss that I definitely missed my first time was in the Dimitri v Hawk fight, at some point Dimitri has Hawk's arm twisted and he says "How do you like it?", meaning that Dimitri still kinda harbors feelings about Hawk breaking his arm in S3. I think about that a lot when people continue to talk and act cordial while hiding feelings like that, and it just makes you wonder how often people have passed on never having expressed those feelings, and how often did the other person know or never find out? It's kind of fascinating and scary to think about.

I read an interesting fan theory that while Mr. Miyagi indeed "attacked" that guy and "stole" a nicklace, he did so because this necklace was stolen from his wife before. And after getting it back, the situation was framed to him being the criminal. This will be clarified (in fan theory) by Julie Pierce, which is the sister of the boxing guy we met.

I understand your point about the exercises to choose the fighters like finding flasgs in the forest, which may not be the ideal exercise to determine the best fighters, however the Sekai Taikai, like the creators said, is a tournament that we've never seen before that is unpredictable. Barnes also said this before testing the teens. There's not just gonna be the usual 1 on 1 fighting. Barnes also said he knew people who participated in it and he wanted to as well back in the day. He said he'd surprise them with events just like the Sekai Taikai would and he did.
Now that you've seen the Next Karate Kid. Keisuke Miyagi is the first name he's giving in the Next Karate Kid movie but his name in the original trilogy and show is Nariyoshi Miyagi. So they are working in the Next Karate Kid movie in the show finally because from season 1 the 3 writers always said all movies with Pat Morita are canon.
Barnes is currently on Bold and the Beautiful. It doesnt seem like he was absent from that show but Im glad CBS let him do Season 6 here.

There are inconsistencies in Miyagi's story (first name and birthdate) between the films and the series, I believe this storyline about his past is to retcon some of those inconsistencies, as well as to have Daniel understand no one is perfect.
About Miyagi's box, I'll keep waiting for further info on the 'past Miyagi' story (I do find it interesting that they brought back the name Keisuke from "The Next Karate Kid"), but what I really want to see is what those 4 scrolls in the box are. They're surely not there just for props. What secrets do they hide?

The creators of the show have told multiple times that they're going to do a Mr. Miyagi spin off show, so i think whatever they found in the box is going to add a lot of storylines for that show.

I'm sure someone mentioned this but Mr. Myagi's name was Ketsuke in "New KKid" so writers had to come up with something to explain it, explain the tombstone typo and a way to introduce Julie Pierce. I think the theft part of this story is that Mr miyagi gave his wife some kind of jewelry. When she and the baby died i think they took it and sold it. Think he tracked it down (when he returned from war) and that's when he "stole it" and bad things happened because of it.
That could explain why he changed his identity - but now where's the jewelry?

While agree with you on the Miyagi storyline, and hoping they are able to pay it off, the brilliance of the writers putting us in Daniel's shoes and feeling how he is feeling about what is going on is awesome.

they had those events as selections to determine different things and aspects that will come into play since apparently the sekai taikai will hv 7 different competitions, not just 1v1 fights. so some events are geared towards strength, endurance, teamwork n speed, such as the capture the flag one as well along w all the other ones.

Demitri is a great fighter no doubt about that but Hawk is one of the strongest & aggressive fighters in Miyagi do so he deserves to compete in Sekai tekai tournament and so does Kenny because with the students that crease is bringing into the tournament Daniel and Johnny needs a team of six fighters who were Cobra Kai because that's the only way that they'll have fighting chance in the sekai tekai and against crease New Cabra Kai Students.

Cobra Kai films in similar locations to Stranger Things (in Atlanta, GA) so that's probably why the woods scene at 24:19 reminded Nikki so much of that other popular show on Netflix.

Sometimes the oddities can redirect through hope and acceptance in fulfilling a role in sn individuals life can influence and alter s generation.
They nerfed my boy hawk. The writers messed up on this one. Demitri is mote worried about college on the other hand hawk lives for fighting he enjoys it. This episode messed up the whole season for me.
I think that one of the reasons that are introducing the Mr Miyagi is because they are laying the foundation for a Mr Miyagi prequel

Daniel says this is not the strongest team. However, he wanted to send Anthony so it feels like his family/dojo bias is still there.
He is also struggling with incorporating any other styles with Miyagi-do, where Mr Miyagi wanted him to develop his own style but I feel he's not achieving that.
Next Karate Kid may not be good but I’m confident Cobra Kai will elevate the movie (like what happened w/ KK3 ) - hoping Hilary Swank returns in Part 2 or 3 to shed insight about Miyagi’s past. 🦅
We know Miyagi had problems to get over with, but we don't know how he overcame them. Thus is good
One of the themes of this show is that people can change, and there also no perfectly good or bad characters in this show (exept Carmen and Amanda probably). If the idea of this whole thing is that Miyagi, who we know as this great and noble guy was a prick like young Chosen for instance is really interesting and bald idea, and its perfectly in line with idea of the show.
It’s unrealistic to believe that Mr Miyagi was some perfect and wise guy without having to learn through experience himself.
That’s not the point. Sometimes less is more. A comparison I’ve come up with is Yoda. Sometimes not everything needs to be revealed and mystery is good.

The rules of the sekai takai should be that you fight until someone can’t continue any longer. The whole 1 hit = 1 point first to 3 point system needs done away with for this.

Hawk and Dimitri had to fight. Hawk lost because he let up and Dimitri took advantage.
Also it allowed them create drama for kenny and Anthony potentially with out either of them having to fight off Devon. After season 3 the show hasn’t wanted to have girls fighting guys.
They had Tory and Sam intercede with Kenny back in the first episode but they weren’t trying to hit him and he was holding back and even said I don’t want to hit a girl.

I like the Miyagi storyline. It's probably going to be something along the lines of Miyagi doing something he deeply regrets in his past which helped shape how and what he taught Daniel. Like the reason why Miyagi never taught Daniel the techinque to temporarly paralysed limbs.

The "new" Cobra kai gang, A.K.A. "Kwon" and the others are a group of professional fighters and stunts, unlike the "actors" in "Miyagi-Do". that makes all the difference.

It should be 3 girls and 3 boys as a team. I would go with Miguel, Robby, and Hawk. Tori, Sam, and Devon. Kenny should be the first alternate and then Dimetri.
Fair enough, here is the reason I like the Miyagi storyline. Its crucial to Daniels storyline this season. Daniel constantly says to other people don't act like that, its not the Miyagi way, or Miyagi wouldn't like this, or Miyagi wouldn't say this. Daniel has to come to terms that great man but he was also human who made mistakes. Now if this storyline of Robbery was something that happened just before or after The Karate Kid, I would be 100% with you guys that's stupid and that clearly wasn't the character we saw. The Robbery happened 40 years before the Karate Kid, 40 years!!. I checked his age Miyagi was either 28 or 21 when this happened!! Now I've heard that people want this storyline to be a mistake and Miyagi actually did something good instead and I would ask what would be the point? Whats interesting about that?
I guess that's the core of my issue with the story. Why did they have write Daniel to be so obsessed with this idea that Miyagi is perfect? They didn't have to go that way and make it so over the top. Now it's going to be a storyline focused on Daniel questioning and doubting things. But like I said, final judgement will be held till it all plays out.

@gjjijji That's my point... The perfect Miyagi storyline only became a big thing during Cobra Kai and his family being the ones pumping Miyagi up more it seems than anyone else. At this moment, without it playing out all the way, it doesn't feel like something that needed such a big focus. It's ok to have blinders on when thinking about or talking about your hero. Not every hero needs to have flaws revealed many years later. And yes, I very much care about legacy characters legacies in the content I love and how they are treated... what kind of fan would I be if I didn't care and didn't want the story to be a good one.

They are trying to retcon the name and age confusion introduced in The Next Karate Kid. Let’s hope correcting this dangling mistake is worth the potential damage to the story. Let’s hope the show runners know what they are doing.

Okay Steven this is a point aimed at you personally , first off Daniel trained for 2 weeks to beat Johnny in All valley a two time champ we get it the movie made Daniel the winner but truth be told Johnny should of smoked Daniel but he lost pretty easily if you think about it he was down 2 to nil with a injured Daniel kind of hard to even believe but its written by the writers Daniel then goes and beat Chosen in a death match it clearly showed Daniel at his peak which then he comes back and is pretty much beat up by Mike Barnes the whole movie even in the match this International champ made Daniel look kind of weak and over matched the writers want us to see that Mike Barnes was better then Daniel they showed that but some time the under dog prevails in K3 it was Mike who scored 6 points to Daniels zero but he threw them away to lose one to nil ! So was Daniel better then Mike Barnes HELL NO a blind man could tell Daniel was scared of Mike and for good reason he was way better but he was pro not a rookie fighter.
