I'm a medium level player, but I'm actually doing all these. When I was a kid (long time ago), had a tennis coach that allways said: "Tennis is a positional game; you need to be in the right position to make a good shot and you olso have to make a good shot selection to win the point". He also used to said that I was very lazy, but that's another history. :) Vamooos!!
Great stuff Sven! 👌 I learned a lot from watching (sometimes on repeat or slow-mo) your videos. Thanks! Keep it up. A fan of your channel from Belgium. 🤘💪
Thanks Sven! This video was an incredible in-depth analysis of the thought process behind the shot selection in-game. Not an easy topic to cover but I think you nailed it by breaking down the many variables that come with it. I learned a lot today but now I need to go and practice the shots themselves 😅 On a personal note I felt at times you were speaking directly to me after I suggested this topic on last week's video with Paula. So for that: obrigado, abraço e VAMOS 💪
It’s for a ball that will land on or just after the white line, so too high for a kick/flat smash. it’s played directly overhead, more of a scooping manner to allow you to recover back to net.
Sven im having problems in my bandejas, im preparing high (more than 90-90) but when im loading/swinging the racket is dropping low behind me flat. Do you have an idea how to Come around it? Its so different how players are preparing their arms/racket in the bandejas so im still trying to figure out whats best for me.
You should try to the “glass drill” - Hold your racket against the glass, open it a little bit. Toss the ball yourself, and hit. The racket has to tough the glass in the preparation
These kind of video's are the best! Tactical and situational tips! Thanks for this

Its a smash with a straight arm when the contact point is behind you.
