Why am I even watching this? Half my overhead smashes hit the glass more than 1 meter over the floor, and the other half I hit the ball with the shaft/handle of my racket and the ball goes to a random location in the padel centre. At least it feels that way.
Amen. Hence I hardly hit overheads and prefer to Bandeja / volley them. It's a shame though and I would need to practice, but it's 'hard' for me to try when your in a game, would be best to do 20 balls before the match to get a feel for it.
I filmed myself while practicing and figured out that i turn my body the right way, but i turn my body back before i start swinging with my arm. The momentum of both actions are after eachother while you want to combine the power of both movements to create power. Long story short: Filming yourself can be a big help! Good luck and have fun everybody!
I feel that I’m a bit comfortable with the power smash. I can have the ball rebounding from zone B, but zone C needs a lot of training and technique. Be careful with your shoulders when working on the power smash, as it is an intense shoulder workout.
I've watched a lot of padel videos and I love to watch them. But I still have no clue how to brush a ball with these smashes. Could you make a video with more visuals or examples what to do on how to accomplish this spin. It seems so weird to hit al ball with high power but also add spin 😅. Thanks in advance.
In my experience very very few club level players in Denmark can consistently bring the ball back high over the net from beyond the second post. I'm known to have a decent smash and while I CAN bring it back over the net when standing between the second and third post, it is NOT consistent (will fail often) and the ball won't have much height on it, so if the defending player can get to the net fast enough, then I am toast.
I am not comfortable with the power smash - or any volley for that matter.. granted I am still new (started playing about 4 months ago once or twice a week) but I am still having trouble contacting the ball at the right place on the volley. It would be great if you guys can make a video to help beginners improve the hand-eye coordination and ball contact faster.

@@CardNox bandeja is also an overhead
Love the use of graphics on this. Keep it up!
Thank you!

Nice video but you must also explain how to hit the ball en how can you create maximum topspin. Not only show where Tonkin it on the court

It's not, with proper technique you feel nothing on the shoulder

We will consider this for future videos - thanks! Keep it up 👍
Great video. Super explanation.
Do you add a wrist flick when power smashing?

Como jogador de direito, faço os smash mais cruzados, a ressaltar nas 2 paredes. Vou treinar o frontal e estou mais confortável na Zona A.
But how do I need to hit it tho
As top padel players can put so much topspin on their smash, does this translate to them having killer topspin serves on a tennis court?
it's an interesting question! we'd have to find out by getting them on a tennis court!
Im weak, i only power smash from zone A, I do x3 in zone b cant bring it back with height from second post or further, I do bajada in zone C XD
