Holy moly nerf actually fixed the manual hopper system instead of just leaving it props to nerf but it still jams
Minus the curve gimmick this seems like one of the most basic Rival blasters, I kinda dig it for that
Ye this feels like a blaster I would buy for the hopper but dart zone has the monileth and the quantum.
Just go buy a Helios m8.
@@Goofyahh1337 Yeah but this gun is pump action and has 30 rounds compared to the helios' 12 round mags.
@@m4TT5 both have 12, infact the Blue/Red Helios has 7. Hera has 12, Hades’ has 60!

I'm so glad that Rival is back and not been fully replaced by Hyper
I know this is new for Rival but this is used in the past by Dart Zone with the Powerball and the Titanium
But the Dart Zone Powerball and Titanium are similar to Hyper blasters where the hopper doesnt feed well since you may dry fire sometimes
The Monolith also isn't as smooth as a Perses, and has feeding issues
I really hope Hasbro doesn't make a "Rival 2.0" series

Fun fact: you can shotgun load this.
Just act like you're trying to slam-fire and it'll load however many times you pumped. Take your finger off the trigger, prime, and bam, shotgun.

Is it just me or does it look like Frank is missing the top left side of his head in this video in certain parts…check around 5 minutes. I know it’s just the colour of his hair and shadows, but it blends in so well with the black back drop that it literally looks like a chunk of his cranium is gone.

I believe, regardless of capacity, the naming scheme is how many balls come with the blaster. Not sure if this has been checked, but it does track with this one (comes with 20, i.e. XXI-2000).
yeah i can see that as most of the blasters can hold a little more then then come with atleast those with internal mag's anyway
im a grown ass adult that lives in a tiny house. i have little interest in these and no use for one but i love watching your reviews. as a kid nerf guns were nothing like what they are today and its awesome watching your videos and seeing all the new stuff. plus, your reviews are done extremely well

Hey Coop! 34 year old nerd Dad getting into nerf because of my kids. Love watching your videos. One thing I noticed with the “curve shot” rivals that I haven’t heard you mention in your videos, is that when you twist the barrel lug to get the curve shot the hop up actually extends/retracts to give it more of a spin on the ball. I found the down position to be rather effective shooting at my children behind cover begging for mercy. Thank you for all of your hard work on the videos! Just ordered this Helix after enjoying the Flex for a couple weeks.

I like the prime pump on the helix much more than on the takedown. Takedown was slippery as frick and thus hard to prime right. No such problems with Helix; the grip is good and I personally haven't run into jams. Currently my fav manual prime blaster due to ease of use.

The curveshots hop up actually lowers a little when you rotate the nozzle making the effects of curving greater
Yeah and putting the tab at the bottom helps for shooting over cover easier or if you higher than your opponent for example

A rifle version of this would be perfect
There needs to be a bull-pup hopper HIR blaster that loads the rounds closer to the front of the blaster and ramp backwards and down into the chamber. So when you aim the blaster slightly up to get a bit more distance, it will still chamber smoothly without lowering the muzzle and take it away from the solution and not have to reacquire the target.
I got one of these, and i really like it! But it seems to dryfire sometimes. Not so much that its annoying though. But I didn't have any jams, for any reason.

The hopper fed spring blaster is way more interesting than the curve nozzle. Too bad it's prone to jamming.
It would be awesome if they went full Hades on this one. Kinda wish it was double-barreled, but I imagine that would steeply increase the priming weight.
The curve shot muzzle is actually really great if you want an unfair advantage against a friend who doesn’t know how the curveshot works. Just set the hop up to “down” and give it to your friend.
I just had a birthday session with my blasters and on a whim wanted to see what was new! Good ol' COOP - wish they had bettee stronger design language but HAND POWERED + HOPPER FED = COUNT ME IN - HOPE THEY DO AN IMPROVED VERS.2 SO I CAN ADD ONE TO MY ARSENAL :)

I think it fits to the blaster that you can turn the front thing because you can't really turn the blaster a lot to change the dart flying direction as it has the ball reload problen when you do (if you understand what I mean)

Easy solution to the gravity issue: the hop-up. Tilt it upside down when your blaster is upside down.

Well i think the curve muzzle is very handy because you can’t aim and its gonna hit is precisely there but if you set it so i goes up de ball you can maybe aim and hit the spot where you want

you can modify it to have a stock with springs to push rounds into the chamber
Biggest flaw I see with the hopper is when you tilt it even slightly back you can see the balls slide towards the back, feels like you can only really use this on a level playing field because any elevation will trip you up. I just can't see myself using it over an Artemis both for consistency at all angles and even size because it's hard to beat 30 rounds in that small of a package.
It only matters when you prime the blaster. You don't need gravity after the round is chambered.
@@Coop772 Yeah that's fair but it means you'd need to point it back down to prime it again. Not earthshattering or anything but for me personally it'd add up, your mileage will vary of course.
