You know the one thing I have never really thought about, but amateurs do not know. When you turn it "FEELS" like you are moving closer to the ball. A good check for them in their backswing is "am I moving further behind the ball or more forward. It should actually be remaining neutral, but because your booty is turning really wide it does FEEL like you're moving towards the ball. This feeling is scary because they have to trust their muscles, and their balance to get that big turn and trust the backswing. One more thought that came to me as I'm writing my mini book called "The feels of a great golf swing", and you helped inspire this one, is that in the "take away" if it's done correctly it feels like a "push away". When you keep that width in the back swing it feels like a push away. Anyways when I started watching your channel I couldn't git a straight or consistent shot, and now I'm hitting my seven iron 185 yards always less than 7 yards offline. You didn't give me every thought that corrected it all, but your style left me pondering certain questions all day, and just like a good therapist leads you to self-disovery, or self-created epiphanies, you acted as that same catalyst :)
Yes! However the pressures in the feet will change because the width of stance is different. A short iron will have more weight on the lead foot at setup, a long iron will have closer to 50/50, and driver will have 55-60% of weight on trail foot at address!
Mike Austin would cry. He would shout, first your hips to the right and then turn. To create a post with your spine above your right leg. While you say to the left. 🥴🤮
Hip bump has made my game so much more consistent

I hear you. Thanks.
What is the benefit of doing the hip bump?
In my opinion this video validated why in-person lessons are critical followed up by on-line check in points to ensure the student is still on course.
No doubt Peter!
You are too good👍
How to shift weight & clear lead leg without early rotation of hips??
Look easy...just a slight hip bump forward
My game has improved so much with this setup. Much more consistent
Just discovered your channel. 5 straight videos, on point!! This is the best of them imo. Thank you!
Thank you so much for watching! We got you! Won’t let you down!
5 Star ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐
Good stuff
Man I needed his teaching years ago 🤦♂️
Golf is the game of a lifetime!
Should you exceed the hip bump with a longer iron? Example: does a 9i have the same hip bump as a 5i ? Thank you!!

Never heard of hip bump for iron shots, cool!😊
Oh yea!
Perfect
Hip bump with driver too?
Oh yeah!
This is a game changer! Thank you !
Still shooting high scores a year later aren’t you ?! lol
Are your knees turned in at set up ?
Lead knee pointing straight out and over left foot. Trail knee may pointed toward the ball slightly and over instep of right foot
Tried this many times and it did not work for me. I'm a 12 handicap and I sway off golf ball with no problem.
🤯
That’s a reverse pivot. The right hip should not move toward the target on the backswing.
We turn our chest over our back foot at the same time. Left shoulder to right foot. It gets you in a very powerful positon if you do it right!
How quickly could a dedicated student drop from 25 to 15? Is 6 months realistic?
With practice and a good coach, sure.
That hip bump is the most unnatural thing I’ve ever tried to do in my golf swing lol
It will also be the best thing you’ve ever done when you get it correct!
Good recipe to chunk it or shank it on the down swing

We like our approach and have tested it over time.
Kinda looks like Zac Efron under cover
How to ruin your back for dummies edition 😂
I can have much better spine bend.
