From Fiji to New Caledonia: Ella's Internship in Fisheries at SPC Headquarters

Meet Ella Sinclair, a recent Australian intern at the Pacific Community (SPC). Raised in Fiji, Ella’s passion for marine science led her to a six-month internship at SPC HQ in New Caledonia funded by the Australian Government’s New Colombo Plan scholarship.
Working within SPC’s Division of Fisheries, Aquaculture and Marine Ecosystems (FAME) division, Ella's internship involved participating in the Pacific Fisheries Leadership Programme in Fiji, hands-on work in the Solomon Islands and learning from SPC fisheries experts.
