The dumortierte sure holds some beauty inside of it. I use to buy spoon rings from a man who made them in his garage many moons ago. I still have one. I have a small collection of old spoons also. Hard to find the sterling ones these days. Happy turkey 🦃day to yous or ham 🐖 or duck🦆
Hey, hey Booboo! I don't know Yogi but I think even the Ranger would be happy to have some dumortierite. Any idea what determines the intensity of the blue? Is it the amount of other minerals/impurities and iron present? Cool stuff.
It's the amount of saturation of aluminum into the stone. But it does come in many colors from other elements. Polishing brings out the strong blue in the material i have.
