fyi the improvised shoes are being totally nerfed next update where the sound to other players is the same as any shoes but it still quiet to zombies
Certain backpacks and clothings will make noise when you move.
Honestly. Dayz has such a heart racing pvp experience that no other game presents. Imagine working hours and hours running seeing nothing and then BOOM. Another player. Then the combat starts and it’s a stright adrenaline rush. One of my favorite features of dayz. Even if I lose. It makes ever fight so much better

The last tip is honestly the best advice you can give to a newbie. People leave the game out of the frustration of being able to die in a moment's instance after looting for hours. Don't be afraid to die. Treat it like flappy bird: you know you're going to die eventually, the fun part is testing how far you can go.
This 100%. Once I'm decently geared and have survived awhile, there kinda becomes a time where I'm just roaming around looking for a good fight. If I die in the process? Cool, time to start new. After surviving for a long time I start to miss the thrill of being a freshie struggling to just stay alive let alone find gear

It just sucks when a humvee 4 deep roll up on you but by the time you realize because the game just freezes up for 20 seconds, you are dead is the second frame after seeing them shooting in the first frame and it's a little aggravating when almost every encounter is this way!
@@Yukanhayt-Mhenow sounds like you play on console bro. I have the same issues, but you gotta slip your way around this disadvantage, for example I like to physically stay away from populated spots and just scope it out with a Mosin for several minutes or even an hour or so, on occasion. And if I get lucky I'll see someone running and I wait for the moment to pop em. Yes it's annoying and I throw my controller a few times too many when the game freezes and I die to fuckknowswhat, but just avoid those situations and the experience should natural become more enjoyable. I honestly am the "hiking sniper" type; walking thru any treelines and just staying hidden. Works great when your game runs like dogshit, try it 👍🏼
It takes time. The more you play, the less important that loot gets. Only time it's frustrating, when you never get to use your gear before you die. Just try to enjoy your gear as much as possible

I think the most important tips is really the last one.
More I play less I'm scared. I used to die of hunger at the beginning, because I was too slow to explore the places, I was scared of zombies.
Now I'm a bit better, but always loose my PVP. Next step is to be able to master the PVP or stay hidden and I should be good to survive a bit longer.
Check out community pvp servers with alot of gear. There's one I play that's a small map with 16 slots, when you die you respawn in 5 seconds and gear is always close by. Definitely hones your pvp skills and confidence. Also quickly moving through your inventory moving things around and changing clothes. I've been practicing for about 2 months and now when I go into an official vanilla server I feel soo much better and usually winning pvp engagements.
Best tip I have for any player is get better at hip fire. The time it takes to go from hip to ads is what causes a lot of people to lose gunfights. Practice with zombies and eventually you can start tagging them from 50-75m from the hip. Works in first or third person. Also get comfortable with full auto. If you can get your hip fire spread right a quick spray from any weapon will drop any player. Regardless if the plate carrier is on or off. Don’t be scared to push a sniper or a group. Most people panic if you push. If it’s a sniper they probably suck at close range hence why they are sniping people. Groups are a different breed, but most of the time groups have terrible call outs and bad commo between themselves. Try and get in between them and let them shoot themselves. If you kill one and they have arm bands on put that shit on and go ham. People will hesitate to shoot if they see a friendly arm band. Gives you a massive advantage. To be fair most of these tips are mediocre at best for a vet but for a new player this could take months to figure this stuff out. It’s easier to loot when they are all dead.

Hip fire is so important, sometimes a little bit of spread from where you're aiming can have a huge difference
In the server I was playing last night I dumped 30 rounds of.308 into someone's chest, they survived most of them because half hit their gun and I was so confused until I started looting them how they had survived, hip firing most likely saved me as if I was ADS every bullet would've hit the gun

The press vest spawns in police stations, guard shacks, and police car wrecks. They might spawn in the residential buildings surrounding police stations too, but im not sure if they spawn specifically in all residential areas.
A really good tip is with damaged round is combin them with non damaged rounds and it will change them from damaged to not damaged
Best tip was #20 Syl. And I would add one tip - sometimes is beneficial to make friends instead of engagement in pvp.
my friend shot the server nerd 3 months ago and we havent been let off the raid hook yet lol

@@cptsmoke0001 basically when we just started, my buddy picked a fight with the server old head, dudes gadda have thousands of hours. Had no reason to shoot him, but he did anyways. Now the man hunts us around the server 😂😂😂

Probably best lesson I ever learned was no matter how geared you are, all you need to do is get punched once with a heavy and it’s over
The problem is this game is random and arguably the best horror game out there. I always get tachycardia whenever I play it.

Would like to see a video at some point if possible of common spots where players tend to hang out whether it's for camping, scoping out a place before going in, flank routes, sightlines etc.
I bet there's a few new spots that only a handful of players know since there hasn't been any map changes for a long time. (NWAF an exception for the future lol)

They have the same sound with the shoes you spawn with yk those goofy ahh looking sneakers
The footwraps don't last nearly as long either, you won't be seeing anyone running around with them anymore

Im relatively new to dayz, but im loving it so far. One of my lessons learned is , if you can see 1 person , assume there is actually 3. If you see 3 ppl assume there are actually 5. And there will always be a third party , Always. There will always be a player more patient than you, and there will always be a more aggro player than you. If you try to give the benefit of the doubt in every encounter, you will be taken advantage of. Ive met sone awesome , nice good ppl And some real slimy lame-o's lol.
Pro tip, stab vests and press/ballistic vests have the same protection against bullets, the stab however has worse melee protection.

Useful tip, if you like official but don't like playing against cheaters, play livonia, I haven't ran into a cheater yet but encounter them constantly on chernarus

If anyone is looking for a custom server to play: DayZ Central is on all platforms and is a very good server. Factions, trader, better spawns, and much more.
Your Bar for me is hotel- I call the red brick with the counter/half house that comes up on izurvive as the blue mug icon the bar. Large hotel is the big ones in cities like cherno. The two story with a counter the bed in the one room I call the pub

One false thing in here. The feet wraps will make the same amount of noise as the regular shoes (sneaker etc) you spawn wity. So no they are not more quiet (from 1.20 update)

Best option is to hotbar the feetwraps, equip them to sneak, once you're in range, remove all 👞's
That is, if they're not on a huge duping squad that sits there and rotates a guy to X-ray log the whole server the whole time. Like official.
I remember one of my first times playing the game I was looting around and I turn a corner and get shot six times. My heart rate skyrocketed
I had that yesterday😂 was just cooking my EIGHT chicken steaks and carp files when a drunk guy shot so bad that I went K.O. and when I came back I surrenderend and mid animation got shot dead😅
PD window vault has been patched in 1.20 :(
bullet condition, at least in 1.19, doesnt affect if your gun will jam! just overall condition and magazine condition
I actually disagree with #19. On flat ground? Sure. But if you're shooting up or downhill, or engaging multiple targets at different ranges, zeroing can throw you off I recommend just getting used to eyeballing it. The only time zeroing really works is if you're shooting extremely long range at someone that's staying roughly the same distance from you (i.e. theyre in their base and you have LOS)

Getting my ass kicked in a fast pace pvp server with a small map and gear every where. About two weeks and I feel soo much more comfortable and confident when I go into a official vanilla server.

Going into sticky situations the "step down" approach usually works out most of the time.
Getting you a kill or getting to keep the thing's you've worked to gather for the last however long.
If you think you can sprint then normal run.
If you think you can run then crouch.
If your crouching then you should be crawling.
If your having to crawl your ass shouldn't be there anyway. Lol
Sometimes letting an unsuspecting player pass by can be a bigger win for you. At least your not at the coast a couple minutes later and you didn't throw your pc across the room.

Worn, damaged, or badly damaged bullets no longer have an effect on jamming. However magazines and the gun itself still does. Just wanted to let you know. Great video though. GG

Newb here, started playing a few days ago and i love it. The PvE aspects are easy for me because ive got ridiculous hours in games like The Long Dark. My problem is the PvP. The controls are so confusing and I forget inputs when I'm in a firefight. The game is also kind of janky with movement. I've played FPS for decades, but this is very different. Not sure if they done it like that for realism? Seems you shouldn't have to hit 2 buttons for ADS and a 3rd to peek. Its just alot to get used to after playing a certain way for so long. I can survive on my ability to play survival games and being a ghost. However, as soon as i see someone its like I've never played a video game in my life. Its so strange. 😂

I also store my mosin in said back as much as I can because it's big. With an improvised suppressor.. Its even bigger and more obvious.
You forgot about "Jamaican" house! We had random names for things like the grass Hill behind topolin HQ was "The Grassy Knowl" because of the amount of people that'd sit and snipe from the bushes into HQ

As for death match servers I have always maintained its the best way to learn the game. You never know when you'll run into someone and will often forget the recoil or slow down when looting.
Always always assume someone's watching you.

Sometimes I'll stalk someone and not shoot just to keep up my skills of tracking and learning player movement

But with damaged ammo, you can 'fix' it by mixing it with another stack that is pristine
A gun won’t jam if the mag and gun are in good condition. The bullets can be badly damaged but if the gun and mag are only worn it won’t jam

I always wear a armband. This will make me look like I am in a team, even tho I am solo most of the time. I have found that some people dont shoot right away when seeing me. Also I try to talk to players when I am somewhat fresh. I also never reveal all my stuff and when I meet someone say I have no bullits or a gun even tho I might have a pistol or bullits. And I never get to attached to random players I meet and have some adventure with. Its part of the game to play with someone for 1 hour or something and then just lose them. Or they die whatever. It can suck but its all part of the fun never knowing what happened to the random person. Also I am the person who can run with someone for a hour and then I am like I am out, I run away and then like 10 minutes later I kill them hahaha, or I just vanish and just leave and never see them again. I also never reveal my real name. I usually say my name is Charly or Bob. Idk these 2 names are random but sometimes I forget that I was named Bob and I call out my friend as Bob and then they get confused...
Damaged bullets don’t have any effect on the gun jamming at all. The only thing that makes a difference is the mag and the gun itself

Ultimate booby trap tips: place a landmine or bear trap right on the other side of your set tripwire. I do this because I personally have tripped tripwires and still had time to run away before the grenade killed me.
Besides if they're wearing a plate carrier a landmine alone doesn't kill but if you put a grenade in the tripwire too theyre screwed. My favorite combo is the pox grenade tripwire and landmine... they get knocked uncon from the landmine and when they wake up its already too late if they don't have a pox antidote

@@maximiliankustermann7131 if you wanna be extra cruel you use the beartrap instead of landmine so they see an hear the pox grenade drop but since they have a broken leg they can't run away lol I prefer landmines though because they're easier to hide

Best Tip: PVP more. Nerves are the #1 killer.If your heart is pounding out of your chest...you will probably screw up. Problem with this game is the rampant KOS. So many heads with no interest in worthwhile interaction.

The plate carrier is so easy to find that I skip all other vests. Find some food and melee weapon and then I yeet myself to Cherno to Balota to Zeleno. Boom I'm fully geared.

The quality of the bullets doesn't matter , the bullet quality doesn't affect jam chances , only mags and the gun itself.

I play on console and my biggest problem is the aiming. The dead zone in this game is awful and I have to move the analog stick like a whole quarter of an inch before my aim actually starts moving, and then I just sweep right over my target because the sensitivity is too fast even on the lowest settings. If I'm on an MnK enabled server (like most good community servers) I just do not stand a chance and it's pretty not fun. I'm pretty much reduced to playing on vanilla servers to avoid the mouse and key twitch shooters and then everyone's just always in party chat with their friends and KOS.

My advice is practice in pvp servers. You will learn quick when or when not to engage and most importantly how to move under the radar.
Or even better ->practice on deathmatch servers such as The Angry Deathmatch

I love this game but I play on a laptop. It’s what I have. I stand zero chance to a guy right in front of me with buckshot. Simply having ethernet is enough to kill me.
Bullets can be badly damaged, it doesnt increase the chance of jamming the weapon. Only the gun and mag does.
The press vest offers the same protection as the satb vest, with no slots and heavier of course
The stab vest is also less durable as well but it could at least save you from being one-shot by a rifle to the body from a distance

Be bold when you have nothing to lose. It's entirely possible to take out a couple or armed players if they're regrouping in dwelling.....with your fists. Keep the initiative on your side. Hiding like a rat with your heart beating out of your chest hoping someone walks into your firing sight sucks.
playing aggressive is the best thing you can do in dayz. No matter how outnumbered or outgeared you are most players will have a harder time killing you if you run at them compared to them running at you
@@mapleflavor4625 Come to think of it pretty much every kill I've had is me running at them with a pistol or impact weapon lol. I don't know much about guns but they jam, they have to be reloaded and most of all they miss often.

Yea don’t play official 😂😂. I have over 1,300 hours on official and have made unraid-able bases just to have someone swim into it.

Gear fear is a asset in terms of your DayZ PVP approach. That fear will keep you sharp when you need it most!

errrrh stealth / rag shoes are now using the same sound files as trainers so there quieter than boots thats but in no way quieter than sneakers / trainers
