Thank you so much for discussing and showing the mount used upright with the phone in a filming position. This is exactly why I want the mount. I am already invested in this ecosystem with the cases so did not want to switch to a Peak Design.
I have the exact same setup with the Sigma Pure 1 on my stem and a Peak Design Out Front mount. I couldn't commit to the Quad lock because of the plastic parts. I'd definitely recommend the Peak Design mount. The Universal Adapter is really slim and the mount is extremely solid.
Thank you for the comprehensive review. I do already have the Quad Lock OFM Pro, but it's reassuring to see a positive review like yours. FWIW, I have my Cateye Padrone computer mounted on the stem, and needed to add a 5mm spacer to the OFM Pro so the smartphone doesn't hit the Cateye. Overall, I'm very happy with my current setup.
Hey, I have never had a case from OtterBox therefore I can‘t compare. I am not sure why you are asking as you can’t use with QuadLock anyway… I can say however that I am very happy with the QuadLock Case as it isn‘t to thick and chunky but protects it very well and feels very comfortable. It produces towards the display also protecting it when it falls flat onto the screen.
@Jeremy W. Is your phone camera still working? I wonder how frequently the vibration related camera defects occur on gravel bikes compared to motorcycles (where this clearly is an issue).
Hey Stefan, that's interesting I thought Motorcycles had better suspension and that that wouldn't be a problem at all. So up to now my phone hasn't had any issues! My camera is still great even though I haven't got any suspension and ride on harsh terrain...
Hey, here is the link for the Camera / light adapter: "Out Front Mount - Camera/Light Adaptor - Quad Lock® Europe - Official Store" www.quadlockcase.eu/collections/shop-cycle/products/gopro-adaptor-for-out-front-mount?variant=263950991376 It costs 10€. Mounting a GoPro shouldn't be a problem since it already as the right counterpart on its case. For attaching a light be shure to buy the counterpart ;)
Hello. I just want to ask one thing. I’m thinking about quad lock mount, but I’d like to use it both on my mountain bike and my motorbike also. So there’s the question. Does the vibration dampener fit to a bike mount? Or is it only dedicated to motorbike mounts? I’d like to buy just one mount and use it on both. Thanks.
Hello. I am not sure and couldn't find anything about it being compatible but in the Video about the vibration damper it looked as if it is only an extra part which one could fit between the actual stem which one clamps to one's handlebar and the mount for the phone. So it might work... But you will need to buy the mount Pro for the bike (it will definitely not work with the normal out front version because that hasn't got those teeth between the stem and the mount, which you can see in my video about it) and also the Mount for the motorcycle because the attachment is different and the vibration dampener itself because that is an accessory. It won't work to only buy one mount that fits all... Hope I could help!
I actually don't know but it would surprise me. That's because you will have to power the wireless charging head somehow. How would you power it on your bike and were there to be a solution, e.g. with a hub dynamo I would simply use a Cinq 5 Plug from Tout terrain (tout-terrain.de/de/die-produkte/komponenten/1820/plug5-pure) or a Forumslader (www.forumslader.de/forumslader-pro/) and a cable because you can then charge your phone via the cable but also some power banks! I hope that's helpful to you, Cheers!
@@jeremyw.465 I’ve got a usb port with 2.1 Amps and 5Volts available I’m just wondering if the out of front Mount pro will be compatible with the wireless charging head.
@@SydneyHustle Well I can’t answer that. I recommend you ask QuadLock since I don’t have any knowledge about the motorcycle mounts and therefor the compatibility. In the video about the wireless charger they state that it’s only compatible with their motorcycle mounts so I would think that it’s not compatible…
Has anybody had their iphone snap off the hinges? Wondering how strong it can hold an iphone in the horizontal postiton before purchasing or going with a bike computer
Thanks! Exactly that's why I bought a phone with a large battery, I've got the Pixel 5 which lasts forever! But it's true, when being on longer tours that can become annoying and then a board computer might be a good choice. But I will find that out in summer on my next tour.
@@jeremyw.465 yeah, I'm thinking about buying quad lock + universal sticker mount + some phone case with integrated power bank but then again a bit worried the connector in the case might damage the phone when doing MTB
I just happen to have an extra iPhone laying around which I’m going to use for filming mounted then I will have a GPS unit then in my back pocket I’ll have another iPhone in case of emergency in to shoot stills while moving. You can also carry one of those little Anker chargers in a top tube bag if that is part of your set up.
Because I don't actually use this trick I can't tell you. I imagine that the quality depends on you're ability of your phone camera to stabilize the video when cycling over rougher terrain.

That is true, one should rather buy a more expensive one because if one has an expensive phone one doesn’t want it to get damaged just because one wanted to save a few bucks on the mount!
I did worry about vibration but had to see my phone display heart data and couldn't afford separate bicycle computer. I have 25C tyres and a bit of suspension in my second-hand 2018 Roubaix Expert and vibration seems ok. I'll get fatter tyres soon. Not sure I'd put it in my 2007 Canondale System6 with 23C tyres. Second-hand Galaxy S20 is, supposedly, tough and water resistant so hope it stays ok

Cool review mate. I wonder what is the real difference between the cheaper version available in online shops. You got my like here. :)
Thanks! ^^
Do you mean the difference between the Out Front Mount and Out Front Mount Pro?
Thanks! ^^
Well if you mean the difference between the shorter and the longer version, the shorter version is made out of carbon
@@jeremyw.465 No, I thought of cheaper copies available from China.
Like the mount but what case ? What’s a mag ?
Mag Save is a system to charge iPhones whirelessly.
i would know how much speed it can keep on the wheel because i want to put it on a race kart (it means sometimes 80 mph / 130 kph )
They make for motorcycles as well.
The shorter front mount is made of polycarbonate that’s why is cheaper then the longer aluminum one
Thanks for telling me, I was wandering! ;)
