They are “no-kink” flex hoses. Useful for all manner of remote lineset issues. Those refrigerant lines look like the same ones that are used in cars and that’s probably why they leak because they can’t withstand the pressure of the refrigerant used

I’ve used them on suction lines without concern given the lower operating pressures. They claim to be rated above 600 psi. 🤷♂️
