Nick was as good at 19 as he ever was. His game never progressed and his maturity never increased. Such a underachieving. Paire also should have made more noise in his career. Both have extreme talant.
idk about that. Kyrgios didn't commit to his career and progression as much as most pros that's for sure, but 2022 was one of his best year, and he himself said in a podcast it was his best year. Maybe at 19 he was more fit and better cardio but some shots improved imo not even mentioning his experience. As for maturity, I think people are misunderstanding the character. Kyrgios is just far from your traditional pro. Sometimes it's maturity that pushes you to take time off the tour because you aren't doing well. I think he's a dude that had and still has many obstacles to tackle, whether it's bad habits, addictions, mental issues. He's the type of guy that doesn't play by the rules, that won't ever fit the criteria that fans ask for (if that's even possible) and we should just hope for the best, appreciate when he's playing and rethink our expectations. As for Paire, I think he shares some traits with Kyrgios, but I can't say he's had an amazing year recently... Also I don't think Paire is as smart tennis wise as Kyrgios, when you see him still playing with a dysfunctional forehand, serving worse than he used too, barely playing his matches like, why do you even step on court.
Aight know it all .., he made a grand slam final and won grand slam doubles. Beat Fed and Nadal. Also beat the GOAT Nole. I bet in the history of ya genius family, NO ONE will achieve that.
It’s so strange paire going to his knees and celebrating at the end, like this meant so much to him. When i’ve mainly seen what he has become in the most recent years. Where i’ve seen someone not try or give a damn about playing like i’ve never seen, at this pro level by anyone in any sport ever.
