I think they can, they still have DNA, they still have a heart beat, and therefore should have other organ functions, and the way this show treats magic and reproduction, the fact that Steven exists, I also don't think the people who write the show would do that to them.

I think the roaring abilities, or whatever you wanna call them, from Pink Diamond have to do with her destructive powers. When she smashed that mirror in the Jungle Moon memory, or when she cracked Volleyball's eye. By now, it's evident as seen in Future when Steven develops them.

When you think about it, steven ages slow, but he will die, i wonder what will happen to his gem and how will the characters interact with the situation?
The gem will try to make a new form with the informations it gathered thorought Steven's life. Basically turning Steven into a new Pink Diamond (CYM Pink Steven) with either all the memories or none of it

If that was the case and he dies and his gem couldn't survive, my only idea would be that they either have to "heal" It with the garden OR they might have to reset it, which either takes the gem back to Pink Diamonds rebirth or Pink Steven's rebirth. Perhaps if it is Pink Steven, he might be able to remember his memories over time but he would be, then again, only half of himself.

Ok, I really need to get this theory out there, so I hope you guys don't think it's too long and enjoy the theory. My theory is that it's really simple for a Diamond/Steven to heal. A lot of people just think it has to be a really emotional time for the Diamond/Steven, because our only visual example is Steven and Lars with his tears, but Steven has several different forms of healing. In most cases it's spit, and with Lars it's tears, but then we get to corrupted gems. Steven, and in extension the Diamonds, all just simply had to sit in a pool of water, which brings me to my conclusion; Diamonds heal with their bodily fluids. Yellow's sauna and Blue's pool could be examples of where gems on Homeworld get healed, or at least the fluids that heal them. It was never specifically Pink's tears that healed gems, but her "extraction fluids." Maybe this is the purpose, or at least one of the purposes, of the extraction chambers to begin with. Say one of Yellow's Quartz soldiers gets their gem cracked while conquering a planet. Now of course this is probably grounds to shatter the gem pre era 3, but assuming it's not, where do they go? To get extraction fluid. Which brings me to my next point; the fluid extracted from the Diamonds is what give gems their powers. I believe all gems have this fluid in them from "birth." The injectors well... inject it into their gem, and whenever their gems are damaged, they get more fluid to fix them up. Now I'm not saying emotion doesn't have a part in it, which brings me to my next point. Emotion 100% has a part in it. Yellow and Blue get hit emotionally pretty hard by what they believe is the shattering of Pink, and then era 2 begins, and guess what? The gems don't have as much power as they had. They say this is a resource shortage problem, but who's to say that Diamond juice isn't considered a resource. Finally, the fluid, no matter what diamond it is, can probably heal, resurrect, and give powers to organics. I don't agree with the fact that the powers correlates to the Diamonds specific characteristics, but different diamonds could give different powers. I mean for example, Sapphires regardless of court can see into the future, but not a single Diamond can. Maybe this is similar to organic life. Organics are their own "gem." Just like all Sapphires are future tellers and all Rubies are guards with heat powers, all organics with gem fluid in them are teleporters among other things. The powers the recipient gets is just correspondent to what the fluid is being put into. They probably all get the same powers, with maybe a few alterations depending on which Diamond's fluid is in them, because for example, despite being the same gem, the two Jades are considered different gems. At the very least, just like is mentioned in this video, all organics with gem fluid probably have pocket dimensions in their hair. Their hair IS their gem. Why their pockets dimensions are connected is beyond me.
Anyways, for TL;DR people out there, I basically just think that all diamonds can heal gems and organic life with the extraction fluid we see in Yellow's sauna and other similar extractors.

He's connecting with past Steven through sleeping, going into the past, and into Rose's tape. He's telling past Steven that he's going to be something extraordinary, and telling him to take care of the gems.

Honestly I feel like some aspects of personality would change as well, before Lars was resurrected, he was afraid of almost anything Gem related and tried to act cool but really wasn't, and he was more introverted if he wasnt around the cool kids. Now he seems more outgoing, actually cool, and definetly seems more confident. You could contribute this to all his new experiences and the fact he can't die normally now, but he doesn't know he can't die normally by means other than aging, and while he acted the same when he was first changed, I believe the new personality slowly seeps and affects your old personality, and after all being outgoing and confident are 2 traits of Rose Quartz, Pink Diamond, and Steven. I believe with Blue Diamond, you would be more emotional, more easy to talk to, more serious and sad than you previously were. With Yellow you would be confident, but even more so, probably to an arrogant level, but you'd also be more protective of your friends, never allowing them to get hurt. With White Diamond, you would probably be like how Steven was during most of the SU Future, you want to make things a certain way, and when something ends the way you made things, you can't accept it, you don't want change, you want perfection. With white, I also believe you'd be more connected with Gems, mostly as an ability, like a version of White Diamond's mind control, except instead of that, you'd simply be able to look at Gems, mabey even Humans, and instantly know what they're like. A final White Diamond personality trait you might gain is being less emotional, you'd sort of act bland most of the time, and when you do get emotional, you're all flustered and can't really process why you're emotional, and be extremely brash, sort of like how White Diamond acted when she realized she was blushing

Controlling stars is a huge stretch but you look very excited about that so I can live with it
I think if you were resurrected by white diamond you would be able to manipulate people by looking them in the eyes, because if her mind control abilities. Like not completely take over them but put an idea in their head and make them think they want to do something. And maybe also put out blinding flashes of light that could stun people and gems for a long period of time. I dont think the series ever implied anything about White being able to make stars, even though she looks like one, but that's a cool idea as well!
I know I'm late to the party and all, but I got to thinking and had an idea.
Considering most organic life relies on electricity to move and think, does that mean a Yellow Daimond resurrected human could turn someone's nervous system against them? Maybe have a more painful version of the reaction Steven had to the destabilizing gem weapons throughout the show?
