Jennifer, you are a great artist in your own right, and much too hard on yourself. You say you fuss with things more than you need to and you are right. Your cards are a work of art, so don't be so hard on yourself. You are someone we all aspire to be. We love your cards.
Jennifer- your attention to detail is lovely, and the fact that you give all the info as you go is ssoooooo helpful! You're very talented, gifted and you seem like you are a wonderful individual! Thank you for your video.
Hey Jennifer....I just "had" to watch your video again because I am in love with this card you created. I don't know how many times I can say "thank you" because you have taught me so much and as a disabled woman, you have helped me a great deal by bringing a passion back into my life! For someone whom at one time was extremely independent), my words do not give justice to how you have helped me achieve this. God bless to you and your family Jennifer
I have tuned into your channel for some years now (maybe only 2 or 3 but watched a LOT 🥰) and when I watched this particular one, I wondered why your voice sounded…. well “so young, I guess”. Then I saw the date or particularly the year!! Always love your work 🥰🥰 🥰 ( 3 for balance 🤭).
Jennifer, you are absolutely my favorite! I send all your videos to my friend who is a great fan as well. I agree with her when she says that everything you say is useful and means something-you don't waste words. I also tell so many people about you so they can enjoy your amazing techniques. God bless you for sharing your talents and your sweet self with so many people!
Your idea of letting the water do the work is a knockout!! The stamps are so gorgeous and your technique is perfect to make them a winner. You are a water-coloring bomb!!
This now is 2021.I got these water colors a couple of months ago. Absolutely love the them! So much better than regular water colors. It was fun watching you do this flower.
I have literally spent the last two nights watching ALL of your videos. I am obsessed. I never knew this hobby existed, I am so intrigued. I definitely want to start making my own cards. Your channel is so inspiring and just amazing. Having my own channel I am so inspired by your work - its fabulous. Thank you for making these amazing videos for us!!!! xoxoxo
Yes I've totally been there. I was in the library one day and saw a book about 'make your own cards' and took the plunge. A week later I realized that book was like super 80s old school when I went online and saw all the people using stamps and so many cool tools to make cards. I was lost to it ever since lol Be careful for your budget haha i spent so much on supplies!
starbucksmocha88 It really is too cool I'm so in love with it, but no I definitely can't get into it. As a beauty TH-camr I already spend far too much on makeup for my videos, this would just make me absolutely bankrupt.
wonderful card, I love watching your tutorials because you don't ramble!!!! Thanks for being so in depth and to the point!!! I love this with the white embossing and your new color.
Jennifer, I realize that this video is quite old, but I save many of yours to a file and pull them up when I am looking for something stunning. I cannot tell you how very much I enjoy your talent. You are extremely through and easy to follow. Your tips and techniques make my projects look pretty darn good. Thank you for being such an inspiration. Sincerely, Lori T
You are so very, very talented lady and i could watch your talented hands all day long as you bring your projects to life. Thank you for bringing such beauty to our screens Jennifer . x
Jennifer it's a beautiful card and I think you know more about water colors than you think. It's so lovely and elegant. the colors are fantastic and I enjoyed your tips. thank you for the demo...keep it up...LOL pat
As I watching this video I was drooling over the pearlized watercolors that are included in your watercolor set! I can't justify buying that set just for the pearlization so I was determined to come up with an alternative! Eventually it dawned on me that I could use Perfect Pearls!! Oh my goodness, I had so much fun experimenting last night!! it worked fantastic! The Perfect Pearl in Blush looks fabulous over purples!
I must have been too focused on watching and I must have missed you saying it! I must pay closer attention cuz it took me 10 minutes of brainstorming to think of Perfect Pearls!
Jennifer, I watched this again today. This stamp set and your embossing/watercolor techniques are spectacular. This is one of my favorite watercolor cards. Thank you for sharing your fabulous creativity. :)
I am so excited you used this stamp set, because I already ordered it and hopefully will get it in the mail soon!! I love this card Jennifer.. I love all your cards and the fact that you share so much of your knowledge of the different techniques that can be applied. Xx
This has to be the most perfect water color card I have seen ever. I love it and I am so glad u did not splatter it with paint. This card is beyond beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing.
I've ordered my first watercolor set and now I've ordered this stamp set as well. You make the most beautiful cards and you make it look so easy! I can't wait for my goodies to arrive so I can attempt to recreate these. Thanks for sharing!
Jennifer, thank you so much for such detailed tutorials. I've learned so much from you here. I have the same water colors you used and love them. You have an amazing teaching style that is so inspirational, I just can't wait to finish the video so I can try it. Thanks for sharing your creativity.
This card is absolutely stunning! I am going to try this technique for sure. I have been wanting to experiment with watercolours and now you've shown me a great way to do it. Thanks!
Gorgeous card, Jennifer! your tip to use the pearlescent is simply brilliant. I bought the Gansai Tambi & have found that highlighting was a wee bit tricky since they blend so smoothly. I'll be using the pearlescent for sure. Thanks!
Hi Jen, I got your name from TheSpinDoctor as an expert card maker with amazing tutorials. He was absolutely correct!! Loved the use of watercolor on this card!! Thank you!
Wow you made this look so easy! I just bought some water colors today to try this technique! I will be trying it while watching your Video! Thank You for taking the time to make it! ~Laurie in New Mexico
Great video, love your watercoloring, I've just started to try my hand at this and I really enjoy it, I will try to let the water do the work. TFS, You're are a great teacher
Hi Jennifer, I am a new subscriber and very excited to watch all of your videos! it would be wonderful to see more tutorials with the kuratake gansai watercolors. blessings, Tammy
I'm new to your youtube videos and I can say I love them. Thank you!! I bought these paints about two weeks ago and haven't used them yet, was a bit intimidated. You have given me then courage to use them...
I had to have this stamp set the other week when at arrived in the UK as i wanted to try your exact technique with it! How bizarre. I also fancy trying my spectrum noir blendable pencils with it. Your video has inspired me best get off my bum and give it a go. Hugs Hazel xxx
I found your video on water coloring to be very informative. I cant wait to try it with my inks. If I am not happy with results I will look into the inks you used....
I've become passionate about using watercolors and have tried a few different ones, my favorites are some inexpensive pearlescent ones. They are so stunning on most anything. Thank you for sharing this technique, I'm sure it's going to help me with my watercolor endeavors. Jennifer, I don't know what I'd do without you, you have become my go to person for learning techniques and giving me inspiration. Keep up the good work. And BTW, I love when your children make their brief appearances! Also, what are your thoughts on using water brushes with watercolors?
I use talens ecoline watercolours a lot, they're already liquid and super vibrant. I also use winston and newton iridescerent medium, which makes everything shine! super love your card, I have trouble with heat embossing, prob my powders? love the colours and the stamp, beautiful result also
OMG!!! I've seen a lot of your videos Jennifer but I think this watercolor one is the BOMB!!! Oh, maybe I shouldn't have used that word on the net. lol. Anyway, it blows your friends out of the water. Hers was nice but yours is amazing! I can't imagine water color pearl like that so I may have to find that set. Awesome job as usual!
Beautiful card and watercolour work. Truly stunning. Just a couple of things that might be useful for your subs. The brush you are using is called a "rigger brush". This is because it was created with the painting of boat rigging. It is a useful brush to have. The second thing is that it would be virtually impossible to get a good result with poor quality paints. I would never suggest using the kids stuff! If a person is going to do a watercolour piece they will be dissatisfied with the result they get with poor quality paint and give up. It is worth giving non-painters a bit of basic info about paint. Pigment is the powder colour. What the pigment is mixed with determines whether it is oil paint, watercolour etc. The paint usually comes in two types "student" or "artist" grade. The student grade is less expensive, but contains much less pigment. The watercolour comes in tubes of wet paint or in pans, like the one you used. Some brands of student grade paint are not worth the money. I wouldn't recommend dollar/pound store paint. A very well respected paint brand is Winsor & Newton. They do a student range called "Cotman". I don't think it comes in tubes, but I wouldn't recommend tubes for beginners or people who are card artists. The W&N Cotman range contains a vast array of colours that are good quality and very well priced. You can also buy half pans for even better initial saving. I checked out the brand you used and was taken to Simon says Stamp. I am from the UK so the shipping rates are very high. I have to say, though, I have bought a couple of things from SSS you recommended that couldnt be found anywhere else and was very pleased with the company. They were friendly to deal with and very importantly they paid all the necessary postage charges. Some US companies don't and we get stung the other end. I have never used the brand you used, but the price point was reasonable ($59) and Japan is a respected country for watercolour paint quality. The pan sizes are huge and the colour selection (I checked the first one) was excellent. Each colour they selected would prove useful. The colours we saw you put down on your card painting looked sophisticated and professional. I hade to sit on my hands to avoid buying them! I hope the above information was useful to someone. In particular, the RIGGER BRUSH might be handy for someone to know if they want to buy a brush like this online. Thank you again for another excellent video 🎀
Your card is gorgeous you really did one awesome creative water color job and it's so cool that you shared your creative thoughts about doing this and have to say one would never know that you were hesitant about doing this as you met the challenge with gusto and your supreme talents did shine. You so ROCK!! p.s. I loved that your little guy said "hi" so here a "HI" to him and give him a high 5 from me.....that was just too cute!! Joan Smith
Jennifer, you are a great artist in your own right, and much too hard on yourself. You say you fuss with things more than you need to and you are right. Your cards are a work of art, so don't be so hard on yourself. You are someone we all aspire to be. We love your cards.
