I love the look of this card so much! I tried it using my regular inks, but it was very unsatisfactory in appearance. I've watched this video 3 times (I think) and I'm getting ready to watch again. Each time I pick up something new. You video's are the absolute best out there. I finally broke down and bought some of the Distress Ink Markers and I've done the first layer on a peony with great success. The water solubility of the distress inks great helps this techniques. I always have been able to do the leaves, so I hope they don't fail me tonight. Thank you for making such quality video tutorials. I love W-Plus-9 stamps and coordinating dies and that you have designed them for everyone to be able to achieve the watercolor effect.

I am addicted. I have binge watched every you tube tutorial of yours in one sitting. I have never water colored before and I am now anxious to try it myself. Dawn, I can’t believe this video has been up for so long and I haven’t seen it! I absolutely love to watercolor...but I’m not really good at it, except washes and brush lettering. Now I feel like I (maybe) can watercolor flowers and have the end result look like I know what I’m doing. Lol. Thanks so much for the lesson!

Well after this amazing tutorial I feel a little better at spending the last of my wage on some distress markers but now I've got to wait for payday to add this set to my collection. Can I ask what paints do you prefer? Thanks Hazel xx
Hi Hazel! For paints, I current use Winsor $ Newton and/or Grumbacher. But I want to try Old Holland. The colors look so vibrant and intense.

Thank you so much! Unfortunately, I don't know the name. It is a gel manicure from the salon, so the polishes are tagged by # not name. But it is a very deep eggplant color with shimmer in it.

I think I may have left a comment/question somewhere on one of your videos that must have been confusing! I was binge watching your videos, but also watched a couple of other watercolor videos at the same sitting. Another artist had used a similar technique to you - stamping then coloring with watercolors. She had used a certain watercolor set. My question to you was about her set of paints, but I thought you had used them! Now, I know you use the Distress markers for your water coloring, but you also use regular water color paints. What brand of watercolor paints do you use, and which - markers or paints - do you recommend for a beginner in watercolor and this technique? Thank you so very much, and I apologize for my earlier mistake. Julie
Julie Blake No apology needed! I prefer tube watercolors for traditional watercolor paintings. I like both Winsor & Newton and Grumbacher.
