This would be cool if you wanted cameras around your home that weren't obviously cameras. Eufy really needs to work on that notification delay, though.
Have watched so many of your videos in the last week as I look to secure my new (first) home for my family. Just wanted to say thank you so much for being such a great resource!
@@scorporsupremacy7948I have not had any issues with the wall light cameras,I did notice that I had to turn the motion sensitivity up in settings to get recordings hope this helps
Thank you for this video. We recently bought 2 of these. One for the front and one for the back of our house, based on your recommendation. We are really impressed with the build quality, the app and the fact that there’s no monthly subscription. I’d definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for simple, discreet security.
Love seeing your reviews to eufy products, your videos are very informative and answer most of the questions I have on the products. Keep up the good work. Your reviews are the reason I got myself a eufy product and now plan on getting this light camera.
Looks like the best I've seen so far for a wireless, self powered no subscription needed camera and light. The audio and video quality are impressive. Thank you so much for the review.
I bought 4 plus one free. 3 of them worked perfectly. One would not update the firmware and another one would not charge past 80%. Eufy is replacing both. It would be nice to be able to adjust the camera lens, up or down at least. I like them.
Dude i love your reviews! You always break everything down 🙌. Keep up the good work and thank you. I want to buy one of these next. I already bought the S340. Doorbell and one of the indoor ones. Great system.
Eufy makes good products. I have experience with their wired doorbell and a few of their S100 wired wall light cams. The human detection AI is very good, preventing false alerts. It's no replacement for a wired 24/7 surveillance system with an NVR (nothing is), but comes pretty close.
@@D0TELL Personally, I think Reolink NVRs and cameras are the best bang for the buck. Excellent quality, simple to set up and a very competitive price. Amazon often has their NVRs and cameras on sale, as well as entire surveillance kits (NVR and cameras bundles).
If I wasn't so heavily invested in Ring, I would switch over to Eufy. They have come out with some very unique products. Ring just does minor updates on previous products.
I've been waiting on this review for so long! Thank you for providing detailed information about the Solar Wall Light Camera. I may in the future purchase this item. Not sure if the camera angle will work in my favor, that's my only worry.
This will work for me. But Eufy can do better with those delays. Hopefully a software update can fix it. Thank you for the review. It answered all my questions about it.
I would use this camera on the side of the house basically before the trash can 12secs is a long time for the main camera but integrated in a system I don’t think it would be that bad I have the doorbell/lock/ camera and a couple wired camera lights all eufy so adding this 80$ motion light cam just to the side of the house to me isn’t bad at all
Great thorough review. Integrating to HB3 , fixing the notification delay and making white an optional color to appease my strict Association will convince me to make this an add on to my arsenal of Eufy cameras for extra security.
For those wondering what size drillbit that they can use, I ended up using a 9/64 drillbit size for the screws on the exterior of my house. Wood exterior to be exact.
The notification on my eufy cameras are near instant, maybe you have yours set to send a message and thumbnail at the same time. Mines sends them separately.
I'm tempted to try this, but worried about sunlight exposure as I have the S220 and it drains a lot, with 2 hrs exposure it does not keep up at all, can you do a review comparing the S220 and S230 please
Idk why they don't make more cameras like this with cameras hidden within the light fixtures so it still looks more like a light than a huge spotlight ring cam.
I thought I subscribed the last time I watched one of your videos. I like your measurement routine. I am now subscribed. I'm moving later on this month. This might be a good addition.
You should install a board paint to match on top of where you screwing these in and out. Will be cheaper and easier to replace vs. repairing or replacing parts of your trim
Looking for a security camera for my friends house she recently had a scary encounter but financially she can not get a heavy duty security/subscription camera im hoping to find a better camera that is solar powered she does have a patio that might need a different camera not much sun hits her door and the pillars are cement
@LifeHackster Thanks for the review. Do you have the measurements for how high you mounted the camera and how close to the mounting point that you can see the ground? I'm trying to find that angle. I'm looking to add a couple of these to my Eufy system and haven't been able to find that. One of my locations would be mounted up a little bit higher (about 10') and I want to make sure it won't push the picture too far out. Thanks!
Wish the camera angle could be adjusted more down. It would have been great to place over top of entrance ways, but the angle looks like one could be stealthy and hug the wall, like in the movies, and possibly evade detection. Being able to angle the camera down more, you would be able to see faces as someone attempted to open your door or see delivered packages on the front porch.
@@LifeHackster it is weird as they have the indoor cam that can more 360, and tilt up and down. I actually have one and really like it. For these, to save on costs, they do not need to be electric, even manual pan and tilt would be better than stationary.
