    Thanks for the great introduction to the grooming loop, I just ordered a table to groom our two toy poodles and this was excellent instruction. Cheers from a new subscriber in Nova Scotia.

    I CANNOT handle the background music. Very distracting. Go in your merits. Get rid of the noise.

    If you need a dog to not sit down, do you have to get a longer grooming arm so you can put another loop around his waist? The one you have in the video doesn’t look like it’s long enough to reach a dog’s hips. How would you secure his waist? We have a 30 pound Australian labradoodle so she’s a medium sized dog.

    • @GinasGrooming
      @GinasGrooming  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Rachel, thanks for your question! Since your pup is 30 pounds, you may get away with using a grooming arm that has a longer top bar, such as: amzn.to/3gr7EEA. But if she's too long in her body for something like that, you may need a full over-the-table arm: amzn.to/3MQPckT. Tip/trick on keeping her standing safely, you can use t-shirt material, or any soft and slightly stretchy material cut about a foot wide and a yard long or so and use that to support the belly and tie up to the grooming arm. That way you can distribute the pressure over a wider part of her under-body, instead of having a rope or cable pushing up on her. Good luck and thanks for watching! 😍

    Under just one armpit?

    • @GinasGrooming
      @GinasGrooming  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi Doris, yes, if using only one standard grooming loop, you want the strap to go across the chest. If u put it under both armpits, it ends up at their belly and they step out of it. Now, you can do a double harness using 2 loops, one under each armpit and cross at the chest, making it extra safe. We'll do another video soon talking about the figure 8 harness, as well as some new loops that are out there. Hope that helps, thanks for watching! 😍

    Where did you get the grooming arm?

    • @GinasGrooming
      @GinasGrooming  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi, @MC! Thanks for joining! Amazon has pretty much everything you need, from the basic: amzn.to/3M36o8y to more advanced and fancy: amzn.to/3M36o8y, plus you have the full over-the-table option, such as: amzn.to/3TYOCFo. Hope this helps and thanks for your interest! 👍😍

    There back legs go off the table causing hanging it's a loop try a groomers helper that's the only thing that actually prevents these accidents

    • @GinasGrooming
      @GinasGrooming  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Groomer's Helper indeed has a grooming loop that breaks off in case a pet jumps off a table. This is great for novice Groomers, so thanks for bringing it up! 😀 They are pretty expensive, so anyone looking into that should be prepared. But yes, a great place to start when still working on proper handling on the table! 👍
