  • HOW TO CURE HEEL PAIN ? / PLANTAR FASCITIS / குதிகால் வலியை நீக்க எளிய முறை !!!
    PLANTAR FASCITIS IS THE INFLAMMATION OF THE PLANTAR FASCIA. Plantar fascia originates from the metatarsal region, goes down and is inserted to base of calcaneum. During heel pain, the patient feels pain in the inner side of the fascia. During standing and walking most of the body weight loads on the plantar fascia. It results due to overuse mostly. Improper footwear and change in alignment are also reasons for Heel pain. Heel pain starts mostly in early morning after waking up from bed. Patient is unable to walk and after walking few steps, the pain subsides. Even after taking rest and walking also the pain occurs.
    In this video, Dr.Mohamed Ismail.M.PT., describes about Plantar fascitis. The symptoms of heel pain and also teaches few exercises to cure heel pain.
    Follow the exercises to releive the heel pain
    1. Apply ice to reduce inflammation.
    2. Myofascial release is one of the best method to releive pain in plantar fascitis.
    Procedure:
    place one hand on the forefoot or below the big toe and pull upwards with firm pressure. Place other hand on heel and stabilize the heel/hold for 10 seconds and then relax. 5 repetitions twice daily.
    3. Curl the foot on the towel. do it for 5 sec and then relax
    4. Place the wooden roller below the arch of the foot. Roll it from heel to toe.
