I'm not going to comment negatively about JSU but what I will say is that maybe it's time for HONDA to put more restrictions on features, tributes etc. I'm not seeing much in terms of technical field shows although the musicianship from JSU, SU and others were fairly well. If the BOTB is going to allow features, then why not feature your own band members? IJS

I watched SU's show. I have to say, as always SU's drill was tight, but for the rest of the performance between both bands, JSU won
That double tempo drill the boom done was tight best most complex drill I have seen done
Jeffory Wallace you can tell who knows bout drilling and who don't...SU could've done that drill ...I was in the band...the drill was very complexed....and its the reason why they won....nice job BOOM AND CONGRATS...

People keep saying JSU used mics, but don't all professional stadiums and domes have mics, regardless who or what is on the field/platform? Or did they just cut them on for the Boom, and turn them off for Southern? Just a question
It's just bitter S-poo fans. The mics were used for the guest performers, how else could they be heard in a dome of 65000 people? Su has hit an all-time low. The level of hate makes it obvious that they feel JSU is better. If they weren't bothered, they wouldn't be trying to campaign on Jstate videos
I'm quiet organizers did not turn those mics off for southern. Southern used mics before. Because that whole arena is miced. Up if they did by.some chance I know they fill like shit because jstate dumped.on they ass on that sideline blow down. People get real. Su.people come up.with.every excuse. In the book. I"ve seen JSU in person once in 2012 and the halftime performance was good but not as good as this one. They could have done without that singer imo.
With a band like the BOOM over the years, the only accolades u guys have to brag about is the 30th anniversary of Motown and the recent performance at the Saints halftime? I know u guys have done more than that. Not hating but asking???

I was there.. i hate how they use the mics to make the bands sound louder ig. SU was the only band to not use them and the lit up the stadium without it! NCAT, SU, JSU, DEGA, & ASU made noise. Couldn't hear Howard because man on the mike over powered! I expected more from bcu. TSU was good as too!

faye harrell disagree. SU sounded great as usual but the drill was just traditional Jukebox. JSU pulled out something I've never seen them do before. SU had done that same drill (with different music) all during the season. we all know they have far more difficult and technical drills, they didn't bring those with them and JSU did. that's why they took the W that night.
Jsu is like the bad guys from drumline!! really though.... who hires not one, but TWO musicians to distract the audience from your sub par arrangements, poor tonal execution, and used up traditions. They played get ready 20 years ago. They're still playing it, and it hasn't gotten any better.

I really wish more bands would stick to some traditions that set their foundation and identity. You can't possibly commit to where you wanna go, if you don't where you come from....

JSU disappointed the hell out of me this entire season. This is no disrespect to the band members, because you guys are awesome, and only so as instructed, but during this entire performance, I thought, "I could have had a V8."
Bringing that guy out to perform was just a space filler, and waste of JSU's talent and time.

There was no winner this year (although last year when they had one, all the bands stepped up). Show wise though I'd say that NCATs show was among the most entertaining at Honda this year. Hell, they always do entertaining shows.
