Wow this video really saved me!!!... I left my keys in a bag of gifts with my 19 yr old grandson... We both drove back to our respective homes which was an hour and a half away in different directions!!... That's when I discovered I didn't hv my keys!!!....once at home my spare key had a dead battery at 1:30 in the morning!!!... and I have to be in work at 9:00AM!!!... So he'll overnight the keys and I'll have them in two days and I don't have to spend $40 bucks for 2 days for an Uber or locksmith!... Tks sooo much for this video!!!...

I've been terrified this may have happen to me and would have NOT have hesitated to call the garage out ! Who EVER said ignorance is bliss, I would like to meet him and kick his behind ! Nice. For me ona Tucson 2012, I just have to insert the key in the Smart Keyholder slot, located at the center console box and it will start. Also, the alarm would turn off too. What I want to know is where can I find the key hole because my fob is not working even with a new battery. I have seen videos saying that it can be reconnected / synchronized by inserting the key in the ignition switch and turn back and forward several times. I hope anyone will help me out.

This happened to me last week. Car wouldn't start, got the message Key Not Found. Pressed the start button with the key fob -- nothing happened, car wouldn't start. We called Hyundai assistance, who sent a tow truck.The driver jump-started the car, and the key fob has been working fine ever since. Anyone else have that happen?

@@fixandplay826 Yes. I think it was a loose connection on the car battery - we noticed while jump starting it that a bolt was loose. Let's hope that tightening that loose bolt fixed it!

This does NOT work forever!!! My car started when I did this once, and then it didn't work again until I changed my fob battery
Funny. It didn't work pressing with the key, but worked when I put it on the steering wheel for a second.
My 2011 Sonata has a fob slot in the middle storage console to put the fob in. Is this the older style?

Sorry, the car will not start without the fob. The mechanical key only lets you get in the door or trunk
