EricRayweather can you please help me with defending the middle? I get hit with a lot of post routes via play action or regular shotgun and it irritates me. I run it and have no success and the safties jump it. Others run it on me and they do well. How do I stop it?

One good way to keep the defense confused is to fake call WR hot routes on run plays to make them believe you're passing when you're still just running. Also you can use the switch run direction stick but push it to the side you was already running to and then they switch really quick then you can hit em with a big run to the side you had planned to from the beginning!!
This why the last 4 years i wait 3 months or so after the game comes out to buy it. Even then as soon as you get used to shit they update it and make you start over.

But no lie if im within the 5, pistol bunch formation - counter . is garunteed run up the middle or hit the A gap following the counter. Got 4 tds with lynch last night doin it.
Jody Denney, try using the adjustments before you pick a running play, have the o-line do aggressive blocking at times and your RBs using conservative to hold on to the ball more and run into open holes. And if you are playing the RB, then just simply try trucking them and juke and switching sides to a more open hole. I have been frustrated with the CPU RBs until i started using the adjustments (i been cheating using the sliders at times until i found this works), and when i play as the RB i usually just truck em

IDK if my brother knows but it pissed him off after the early 2000 Maddens that certain players couldn't motion, or could only motion a little bit on the side they were already on. I usually just do it with receivers and tight ends, then use slide protection, and make the HB block if they originally had a route. Don't know why I never thought of shifting. I hadn't played Madden since 12 before this one came out so IDK how long the feature was missing. I didn't realize the flip run lol. But I've been doin it so many times before getting to the huddle. I usually like to run from the far hash mark to the opposite side so that I have more room before reaching out of bounds. Or just depending on how the defense is lined up. This will come in handy against my brother though. We play locally on his Xbox since I have a PS4.
I wouldn't mind the double tap sprint function as it helps me allow my blocks to develop. However, when you do hold RT early, the defense still blocksheds and you're not sprinting. Take away the blockshed for a single hold of the RT or R2 and it's all good for me.

Great videos man. I’ve been running into a problem lately with receivers not catching the ball and I was wondering if it’s happening to you. Sometimes if like the receiver is running a bench route or a deeper drag route, or a checkdown, when I throw the pass to them, it just kinda hits their head and they do this stupid animation where their arms fly up in the air acting like they tried to catch it, but in reality it just bounces off their head/shoulder. I’ve even hit them right in the hands before and it still did the same thing. It’s very annoying because it seems to always happen to me when they are wide open. Have you had this problem as well? It’s most common on RAC catches
So about the new flipping the run future. In previous maddens you had an animation that showed you flipped it HOWEVER. In the last maddens you could flip the run to the same way that the run is already going and it works as a "fake run flip" which is something you can do to flip which way you want and then just fake flip it till the user switches where his placement is (or hope he changes the d-line gap play to the other way

Although the double tapping turbo technique maybe a glitch, I believe it’s more of a gameplay mechanic flaw. My assumption is that, when you double tap turbo, it’s pretty much equivalent to starting the play off only jogging (not holding turbo), then after a second or so you press turbo. Not using turbo makes defenders take shorter pursuit angles. So essentially, when you double tap turbo, or start the run without turbo then press it after about 1 or 2 seconds, the defenders will take really bad angles, allowing you to get around the edge much easier. So imo this doesn’t make you faster, it just makes the defense dumber. But I’m just speculating.

Eric tried the "double tap" sprint button over the weekend during league weekend and can confirm there is a little boost or triggers the sprint. At least I felt it at times.
The speed burst is best noticed in open field. But you're not suppose to double tap just tap in a rhythm and you'll see the runner lean forward while running that's him getting a speed boost.
When "flipping the run" you can tell by looking at the ICON under the QB, you can see it shows a helmet with the volume lines. That's how you are able to tell if someone has flipped it
I haven't played any online yet but when playing against the cpu or my friend head to head on the same console there were no audio or visual queues alerting them that I had flipped a run play, even when doing it at the line of scrimmage.
In madden 18 you could put your lb in a deep blue and hold the left bumper and the lb would immediately tackle the rb..how do you accomplish that in 19?
with the whole turbo thing: idk if it’s just me but there’s times where i’m holding R2 and they’re literally not sprinting. the stamina bar will go down but they’re visually not sprinting, i’ll let go of it and hit it again and then watch them start to sprint

Michael Bennett shade the inside and also shade overtop. I also wouldn't recommend cover 2 if you do use it. Im not him, but its something i hope.
Cover 2 in those situations where you think he will do that.

There are still a few formations that you cant float thr rb usually when he is directly behind the qb and not offset.
It felt faster tapping turbo didn’t think double tapping it would be better great tip
That turbo tip is big time running backs have major problems with accelerating

Try releasing turbo and pressing again every 10-12 steps in open field😉
