I think watching the fruits of your labor in the garden become food to nourish the people you love must be like a mini version of watching your kids succeed. =)
When i had new trainee chefs working with me i always told them food and cooking is not only a science but is art. Learning what flavours, colours and textures go together is the science. Putting it on the plate is art. We mostly taste and eat our food with our eyes before it goes in our mouth. Our brains are working out how its going to taste through our eyes and nose. When we get a pop of flavour we weren't expecting it sends extra endorphins to our brains. I love food, growing it and cooking it.
God is an excellent provider 🙌🙌 It’s a joy to unearth His provision😍 You’re doing it you know! Building a sustainable life with food security and peace, praise the Lord! It’s been lovely to watch you settle in over the years. Thank you Jessica💞
Hi Jessica, your spud crop is great eh. I remember thirst time I grew the all blue potatoes, they were so good and so much fun on the plate. I remember making mashed potatoes with them and added sour cream to them and they looked so brilliant blue, especially along side of fresh peas and a big piece of moose meat. So fun. Great video my friend 🌷🇨🇦
Beautiful 💚 there is no better feeling than pulling potatoes and carrots that you have started from seed and grew without seeing what is going on under the soil. It’s better than Christmas or anything you can ever buy. Thank you for all your inspiration. Food should be celebrated and enjoyed. Not packaged and poisoned. God bless you and your family for shining your light. 😇
It is so amazing seeing all those potatoes. Much harder work to dig them out than I thought. Being able to be self sufficient as much as possible is so important. I never had a green thumb so it is a great blessing you do.

How wonderful is it to eat a meal that comes fresh out of the garden! Another wonderful meal from the homestead. God bless you all!
NICE POTATO HARVEST. Cute furry Helpers too… Was nice seeing your daughter Kodie Ann help with the harvest. The Dock workers did strike but the reached a temporary settlement. They are back at work as of today. PRAISE THE LORD. As far as major catastrophe hurricanes Katrina in 2005 had over 1,000 deaths. Here in Indiana we had damage & power outages this storm hurricane was 370 miles when she hit landfall. How could they prepare for this they could not. I’m 62 & I’m in shock I can’t stop crying for these folks. Our Government is doing very little to help. The news isn’t talking about it. It’s like these people don’t care. Hi Jessica, Kodie and sweet family! Oh my goodness, between you Kodie and the dogs you all had me laughing. Aaron those purple potatoes are Halloween potatoes my kids used to say when they were little. I used to store my potatoes in the basement on old doors on cinder blocks with lime sprinkled on them. Your dinner looked amazing. Good job on your garden and the fresh veggies you are nourishing your bodies with. Have a very blessed weekend ❤️
Hello, what a great harvest! I love how your dogs love to help, so cute. I watched your moose video the other day. What a fantastic collection of foods you have put away for storage. It is always so much fun to watch your videos and to learn something new. Do you let your chicken into the garden to forage after you have taken everything out of it? Thank you again for sharing your day and have a wonderful evening.
Patty here.... I love working in the garden with my family!!! And digging potatoes has got to be the best treasure hunt ever!!! Your salad looks amazing. Can't wait for the winter adventures, too!!!
I love all your videos, I think it was kinda funny you ask Aaron to taste the first potato bite then you took the first bite before him I thought that was funny
Jessica, Alaska's economy is in her bounteous hunting and fishing and growing veggies the way you do. You almost don't need the lower 48's to survive. Alaskans can totally live off the land as far as sustenance. 😊 Love the videos. Keep 'em comin'!! 😊❤
Please tell me you remember the hurricane Maria in 2017 that nailed my island of Puerto Rico? We are American and we lost over 2500 people. I don’t understand why they say this is the worst when 2017 was not long ago. We also were without power for an entire year. Some of the island was even more than a year. So many people are completely forgetting what happened to us. 😢 I pray for the people in this hurricane but it saddens me that people forget about Puerto Rico.
