The perfumes covered in this episode were the Summer 2019 'series' from Lyn Harris' Perfumer H, with a particular focus on Dust and Suede.
Unfortunately, the technology gremlins reared their naughty heads again and caused problems with the sound and the image (see my reply to Stephen below) about which I can only apologise. Better luck next time!

And here's the blotter update...
- Dust has become more focussed on the resins and balsams: it's now more overtly oriental. That 'sugared particle' quality has diminished, but it retains its sweeping beauty.
- Suede remains intriguing and heart-breaking - stunning contrast between the florals and the leather. A tremendous achievement.

So intrigued by these two fragrances! I did hear of another fragrance by Perfumer H, "Rain Cloud", which despite being an aquatic and not my favorite genre, sounded very good. I guess I will have to be very patient and continue following Lyn Harris' Instagram. Thank you for introducing us to this house!

I tested quite a few Lyn Harris last year and my favourites were Pink and Snowdrop. This was because I adored Lyn Harris’ core Miller Harris fragrances. Those two are always on my wishlist but the cost is demanding. I am glad of the exclusivity however because it leaves something very English and special to be proud of - and yearn for. I love glass and ceramics and that is relevant too.

Liz Seville Yes, they’re not exactly cheap. And I agree that there’s something quite English about them... combined with a French sensibility, I’d say.

Hello from Harbin in China. Just to let you know, the sound keeps fading in and out, and the visuals are slightly off from the sound. It could be the Great Firewall but think it might be TH-cam. It’s never happened when I use Facebook through my vpn.
Hi Stephen, no, it's TH-cam, I'm afraid. Most annoying! The technology let me down a bit today, sadly. The trouble is: I don't know that anything's gone wrong until well after the broadcast, by which time it's too late to do anything about it, of course. I certainly never have these issues with FB. I'll try YT again tomorrow, but I may have to revert to FB on Friday if things haven't improved.

It seems perfumer H is only available in her shop in London? There is no proper online shop as far as I can see or way to get samples. I’ve sought her out before. It’s a shame and I understand she wants to be exclusive but really.🙄 so there’s a shop only you have to make an appointment to go in or ring a doorbell? How ridiculous.

From what I understand, they are considering developing an online presence, but they want to take their time with it, so that they do it in a way that feels ‘right’ to them. I should imagine they may also be worried about the practicalities of shipping their very large bottles, but that’s pure conjecture on my part.
Maybe, when enough word has spread about them, they’ll make their wares more available.

Rachel Grigg No, no 😊I know, in this day and age, it’s frustrating not to be able to get our hands on certain things. But I think this one is going to have to be a waiting game.
You definitely don't need an appointment to get into the store. I didn't know they don't sell online but wanted to check the prices before going there and couldn't find any info. That was a bit frustrating :D But I simply went to Perfumer H shop on my recent trip to London. The sales assistant was lovely and I went home with a bottle of Ink :) The perfume has wonderful smell but sadly doesn't last at all long :( And I have 100 ml bottle!
