💯👍🙂❤️ Good on you!! If it helps,in my experience have done the "no contact" with all the narcissitic people who were in my life. Best thing I ever did & keep doing? Over time I've noticed it's the most positive thing to stick to within & throughout my life.

I've been binge watching your videos and thank you so much Danish for making me finally have the courage to go no contact with my narcissistic mother. Its been nearly 2 months now and there's no going back for me. I've been a victim of her abuse all my life and now I'm a survivor. I finally feel free and my life feels like it's just beginning. It all came to a head when I told her that me and my husband wanted christmas day in our new home this year (she wont put herself out to come to us) She went full on verbal abusive, I was a disappointment, a let down, my late father would be ashamed of me, she should be put before my husband and adult children. She went on, she didn't want to see me at all over christmas if we weren't prepared to go to her, how could I do this to her and what a selfish daughter I am. I was in tears, so I told her I was going to hang up. I left it an hour, text her to say that she was out of order, I would never speak to or treat my sons the way does me and how upset and hurt I felt. My father always said that my mother would never admit she's ever wrong or apologise and he was right, I've heard nothing since. Through the loving support of my husband and adult sons I now know that I'm worth more than being my narcissistic mothers scapegoat. Its not been an easy 2 months, old habits die hard. However, to anyone else going through the same, keep strong, know your worth and know when to walk away and break free.

100% well said!! In my experience, the same type of scenario panned out for me. My narcissitic "parents" well-cut the long & painful story short-no contact best thing I ever did. Stayed strong & true to myself. Now 1 of them only is still alive but as despite I was always the dutiful daughter & behaved too compliantly when they should've given me mutual respect & everything but never did!! Constantly out for their own way all the time & telling me I was this that & everything else when they couldn't get their evil needs meet.. Sadly no positive from them until I lived my own life my way without their negative interference & bullying. Thank you for sharing ❤ you're inspiring & I'm happy as it was for the best cutting off toes with them as I worked so hard but they never compromised or supported me anything good I needed so "their loss is my gain"

I'm graduating graduate's school as summa cum laude and with Latin Honors for having a GPA over 4.12. I'm a Psychology major and History minor and i'm also pre-law! My school even elected me to act as a Regent for the school's board working directly with the governor in a one year contract and my boyfriend sat there at Thanksgiving glorifying his son instead of mentioning my good news! I felt disrespected! My son even was accepted to an Ivy League University-Columbia!!! He never mentioned my son and he never even mentioned any of my accelerated accomplishments and it made me feel de-valued. My accomplishments, to me, are SPECTACULAR given that I have Multiple Sclerosis and suffer from pain on a daily basis and I still got my butt up for school and not only do I graduate in a week but made a name for myself! Yet, he sat there glorifying his hay days fighting in grade school and talking about his son being a chef instead. Which I mentioned I was proud of his son but he never even gave me any props for my achievements... Not even my son's achievements!!! Narcissists are jealous freaks. lol

“Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword. For I have come to ‘set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law’; and ‘a man’s enemies will be those of his own household.’ He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.

He called From jail haven’t heard from him in six months and was telling me how much he thought about me every day and that this is different and he’s never thought about somebody every day…. Obviously he needs me more than I need him . The moment he was locked up. My family could breathe easily. I could breathe easily and my healing began.

a Good Heart, even if they do something against their conscience will feel badly and not want to repeat the error,. Causing harm deeply disturbs their conscience...
.A Narcissist actually enjoys being a "bad heart"....they feed on the power over others and the intoxication of deceiving others what my mother enjoyed: she called it "conquering" people.
Thank you Danish, for your exposing not just your pain and experience with such people but it gives those of us who have suffered, the hope and healing we all deserve.

In my experience, this is 100% spot on!! For example, earlier this year my narcissitic "mother" passed on. They tried all their life to look & feel good despite age wasn't kind to them either. They'd many supplies & of course as I saw through them as they treated me badly but they tried to keep using me as their main supply given their gossiping "coffee club committee" style with family/friends.. Their health suffered with old age creeping up on them too but in the end it caught up to them & was what I believe in the most as in ☯️ karma ☯️ They didn't believe in it as they only believed being so narcissitic that they were invincible & nothing no matter how bad what they did & said * alot in my case especially * would ever come back "to haunt them"? They're just lucky I didn't play into their manipulative games as I wasn't buying into it despite at their service I wasn't there & they were trying to make themselves sound good & make me look bad at their expense but it backfired as if your adult child isn't at cremation /service what type of person did that make you 😢

When I had a big quarrel with my mother's big farmers' family to survive, when I was studying, my grandmother said to me: "Your mother, your aunts, and I have never done anything wrong." Her death at 95 was my fault and before her death, she said she forgave me everything?
Sometimes I wonder if I am a narcissist as a whole of my mother's family is. But then I stopped being the most obedient relative and giving all my strength and knowledge to them hoping somebody would love me. Until they destroyed me after all the abuses. I realized with professional help who they are and they proclaimed me mad and destroyed me totally. My grandmother said I am worthless, like my father was. My father's family were eternal victims who died sooner or committed suicide, which I feel about myself, too. Sometimes I hope our knowledge with make some changes and sometimes I do not, when those scary abuses are driving me.

I am 57 years , narc brother 18 months younger than me. His whole life is based lies,,he lied to immigration he lied about his education and qualifications he’s told tiberrible lies about me.
I completely cut him I out of my life seven years ago, along with many flying monkeys 5all automatically blocked). Particularly now when legally everything is gonna start crumbling down.
I used to so scared of my brother with bellowing voice!
Now, I’m not so scared even though I stand alone

i dont believe we have to be impaired by age... i dont believe it has to be a long term process of decline...i think we should think of death as a short term process which at most lasts only a few days....and we should not think that there is an aging process which must happen before the onset of death

Are narcissists uncapable of offering or giving help? I only ask because neither of my parents have done this, even when i was suicidal and practically begging for help. I got told to get a grip and deal with it... i was actually suicidal after this. still recovering

    I need help.
My life was turned upside down and inside out. He has entered a rehab program that is faith based. I fear for those who are in close contact with him. He has already turned a priest against the church. I need help to warn them or at the very least prepare those close to him for the inevitable consequences of his actions

nobody likes them is the truth. one thing i remember, after kicking my narc to the curb was "she never mentioned childhood friends"? reason being, even as a child nobody liked her, no more than nobody liked her as a adult. what a absolutely sh it life to live.

The concept of narcissism can get confusing. Can a person with NPD heal and be less narcissistic or its a condition like being born with autism?

They're mostly created but there may be some genetic predisposition. In my opinion they can be created due to abuse/neglect and or having one parent abuse/neglect and another over compensate by making them think they're gods gift to the world and never holding them accountable for anything. It's like their brains never developed past the stage of young childhood where one cannot imagine other people's perspectives.

They can be a self aware narcissist but they can never stop being a narcissist. Narcissists are created from neglect or golden child. They have attachment issues from improper parenting. Either the parent smothered them or ignored them. No balance. So they have lifelong issues with attachment.

How long does it take, ore how many contacts/interactions do the y have to have with extended family members and friends outside their homes, before they are 'found out' by those people who they really are.

@4514rooster i asked my bf what he loves about me and he went on like "the thing i love about you the most is how you put my mind at ease, my mind can rest, and how you understand things from my pov" Basically all about himself?
Is this supposed to tell me something about the person that i'm dating? Is this a narsicistic behaviour?
