I am tempted to set my phone to play old episodes of Wogan. He made the mornings so much easier. His soothing tones. His choice of relaxing music. He had a casual wit about him and suited the radio so well. Not loud and annoying.....just got the ambience right.
Great broadcaster sadly missed among others such as John Dunn, Ray Moore, John Dunn and Jimmy Young. I wouldn't even consider listening to Radio 2 these days. I was forced to listen to it at work in 2012 before I retired and I hated it. Same rubbish every day.

I can't believe that he's gone - who would have thought that my WUTWAC alarm clock (made of the cheapest tin) would outlast the man himself. We miss him and the gang - Seymour Beaver and the current Mrs Beaver - Aphelia . (did I hear the lost"pip"?)
"Your lucky Herbert is Asquith"😂 Christ I miss this lot in the mornings,the good doctors (one of whom " never really bothered") Deadly,Boggy,Edna Bucket, Chuffer Dandridge,Fran & Sal the traffic totty..more charm and creativity in five minutes than Evans managed in his whole career..let's hope Tell & the Mid Hearts Meastro are enjoying a pino grigio somewhere up there entertaining the DG.
Miss this kind of broadcasting in the morning, as opposed to the shouty get out of bed garbage we are 'treated'' to now.
