V3c11: Yang lets her emotions get the best of her and charges in a blind rage against an in control Adam making her pay. V6c12; Adam lets his emotion get the best of him and charges in a blind rage against an in control Yang making him pay.
I think it wasn't that Adam couldn't get over Blake in a romantic sense. I think what Adam went through when he was very young, getting branded, and all... And I bet whomever did the actual branding said exactly what he said to Blake "I wouldn't have to do this if you'd just behave!"... I think he wanted and craved absolute control. Since he could no longer control Blake, he became obsessed with destroying her. His cause wasn't necessarily to help all of Faunus-kind, even if that was what he told himself to justify his actions. It's also why he slaughtered the White Fang members who no longer would follow him.
No, it is also about Adam not being able to get over Blake romantically as well. Adam's lines in this episode like saying " So I just wasn't good enough for you" and "She made a promise to me once, that she would always be by my side and look at how well she kept", these lines show that he clearly couldn't get over her and that since he can't have her anymore, he wanted to kill her out of spite.
@@MadMax-ii8gq what I meant is that he didn't love her. Not truly, anyway. It was only about control and playing the victim card when he clearly didn't have it.
I'm gonna break this down real simple for Aaron: Schnee is German for snow. Weiss is German for white. WEISS SCHNEE IS LITERALLY SNOW WHITE! At first I thought it was a troll to keep calling it Smee, but I'm that conversation at the beginning broke me. So in case it's not a troll, here.
To be honest with you, I never knew this till a few days ago. I started taking German and we were going over colors and before I thought since it used the B thing that it was Weib, until my teacher told us for English speakers it would be Weiss and at that moment I knew that was intentional.
The look of fear in Qrow's eyes tho. You cam tell that Summer Rose's death took a toll on him and the moment he thought that Ruby would actually die shook him to the core.
Fun fact: The fight between Yang+Blake vs Adam was supposed to be at the end of S3 in the cafeteria. The fight itself was mostly choreographed by Monty himself.
the effects animation has definitely seen an upgrade; that being said, I found Yang's hair much more alluring in the first 3 volumes compared to the later ones. Yang's hair in previous volumes was much more voluminous and beautifully unkempt, a detail that added to her fiery character design and has unfortunately been lost in future seasons. Certain things in general have been lost post-volume 3 from the striking character designs to.....as well all know by now, the action choreography
@@MrMoises621 I find the more maintained and in control design of her hair to be fitting as a redesign, considering that's what Taiyang wanted her to learn before he was comfortable letting her go again. It's still fiery, but just in a different sense. Like the difference between a campfire and a fireplace. One is safer, more in control, but still just as devastating as the other.
In regards to the 2 v 1 thing, they did tell him to leave three times. Like they literally said "leave us alone". If he wanted to fight two people then his demise was his own damn fault, even without the whole being a terrible person thing.
Adam and Bumblb are a huge source of controversy in the RWBY Fandom and I'm glad to see y'all point out the good and bad without being nasty about it. It's one of the things I like the best about watching your channel!
@@kexon2 Adam was never a good character. He was an obsessive narcissist that wanted to own Blake. He was however a more complex character, and in THAT was was a "good character" and could have been explored more, but nah, bumblebee didnt kill him, he did that himself by being a horrible person hiding his rage and control issues under the guise of wanting to "make things right", with "right" being "How I want them to be". He was a spiteful sociopath from the get go, and we got to see more and more of that come out as the volumes went on, with his narcissism and his control issues becoming easier and easier to see as his excuses were torn down. Even early on he was able to come off as a well intentioned extremist, but as things went on it became clearer and clearer that he wasn't so well intentioned. His ideas for hte White Fang were as complex as "I have been hurt, so I'm going to be the one that hurts people back". His obsession over Blake devolved as he volumes went on because she slowly became the only thing left that he could blame for his troubles aside from himself. In his mind SHE was hte reason he was suffering because that gave him someone to lash out at, jsut like Humans in general were his target before. On top of that she was supposed to be HIS and HOW DARE she not bow to him, her master. It became clearer over time, but warning signs were there for him being an abusive ex. He was never a morally good character, even if he had the potential to be a narratively good character. Hell I'd still like to see a mini series detailing more of his past and his slow crawl into darkness. We got hints of what that could have looked like with Ilya and her feelings of being trapped on this path Adam had set out for her, where lashing out and striking back was the only way. But she was still high enough on that slippery slope for Blake to pull her back and give her the ability to make her own choice to be better instead of jsut being angry and starting a new cycle of hate and "well they hurt us, so we'll hurt them, for hurting us because we hurt them, because they hurt us," and so on and so on. And I mean, bumblebee was being developed as far back as at least volume 2 so it's not like it was dropped in like a bridge on top of Adam. If you replaced either Blake or Yang with a male character there would be zero debate about whether or not the interactions nad development of their relationship had been romantic. The main issue here is that the extent to which heteronormative bias has influenced the cultural lens has basically made it so that any close F/F relationships are seen as friendship even if a M/F would be instantly pegged as romantic. Even M/M relationships are seen as romantic more quickly, due to the idea that intimacy between men is "gay" but intimacy between women is "natural". This is what is referred to as lesbian erasure, due to how easy it is to pass off F/F romantic relationships as "jsut really good friends".
I am just gonna say this First Bumblebee isn't official not yet. While I personally do not Ship Bumblebee that isn't why I say it's not Canon. None of the ships are officially Canon as none have had a kiss. Pyrrha kissed Jaune but that was kinda one sided and only after Pyrrha death do we see Jaune show any real feelings. As for Adam he was always a more self centered he did kinda start out wanting to do things for the Faunas but he let it go to his head and he became way to aggressive. Adam was never a Good guy he might could have been a better Villain but he was always on this path and it was always gonna end in his death.
You know, it gets a lot easier to swallow when you remember these likely aren't romantic relationships. Yet. If they ever will be, that's a question for the writers and it may be better off not planting a flag on any one "ship" and making it real. (Unless it's acknowledged Jaune/Pyrrha was a thing, officially. It's safe.) And the thing is, Adam ruined Adam. His return and scene with Blake in Volume 3 dripped of the same thing as we have here - the only difference was how much he was collected since he had the upper hand. This obsession with Blake and ruining her started right there, in the promise he made to her. It seemed to me it wasn't just a crazy ex stalker moment, it was a motivation to just mow down anyone in his path towards "a better world". We can debate back and forth about whether his character changed between Vol 3 and Vol 5... but the trouble is, it's very likely either the Vol 3 scene was written by Monty (and intended to be that way as his vision) or it was done by the writers who stepped in (and thus they had this in mind already). This was a high probability of how this was going to go down, anyway. Blake was going to go off with Yang, as they were a pair from the beginning (during the initiation), and Adam was going to strike either when Blake was alone or with as little help as possible - and he would not see Yang as a threat since almost taking her out at Beacon. I'm convinced it wouldn't be any more satisfying if anyone else had been involved, as it would have "verified" any ship pairing - and if it had been Blake alone vs Adam, a win wouldn't have been convincing. Eh, I dunno. If I stare long and hard enough at any story there's always issues. RWBY's issues stem from having had two seasons of imbalanced presentation. Very amazing visuals, for many, but when it came time to lay the cards down and show the worldbuilding behind it... that was always going to be the point where the show pumps the breaks and throws the fans for a loop. The pacing of Volumes 1-3 just was too ... off to be supported for longer. Followed by the balance needing to tip the other way for a time just to fill in the details.
I argue that Adam was stronger but not more skilled. At most he was only SLIGHTLY more skilled than Blake, coming ahead against her because he was stronger than her, but ultimately that was all he had.
@@HappyPotat also he kind of fought alongside blake in the white fang so he might know a thing or two about her skills unlike yang which other then him seeing her rush him blindly he knows jack shit about her style or skills or tatics and even if he maybe watched some vytal tournament footage yangs style has changed since then
Yang did a lot better against Adam than Blake and that's probably the reason. Adam didn't know much about Yang. As for skill thing: I would say a simplified version would be saying that Blake could match Adam's skill but not his strenght. And Yang could match his strenght but not his skill. So together they were able to beat him.
@@SasukeTurkey Im pretty sure Yang is supposed to be the strongest of team RWBY. Maria said some of them are already stronger than she was, and the camera stayed on Yang.
Such a phenomenal episode, while personally would’ve love to see more of Adams backstory before killing him off, the fight and his final words were very satisfying.
Yeah, to me, his scar was backstory enough. The letters say "SDC". Schnee Dust Company. And the first time Blake and Weiss met, Blake commented on Schnee Dust Company's controversial Faunus slave labor. That scar reflects that so heartbreakingly well. He might have been nice at some point, fighting for a just cause. But seeing how clingy, possessive, manipulative and abusive he is of and towards Blake, we can tell he's completely lost himself along the way, searching for some kind of affection, seeing how he likely hasn't found any all his life, even in childhood, resulting in him not knowing how to handle rejection. He built up a Faunus rebellion force, but its twisted nature reflects Adam's manipulative attitude and his ignorance towards showing and gaining affection. Why would one expect equal treatment, if you're gonna follow the SAME trend as humans did, by killing and stealing what the humans have done? It's the EASY road. And it's understandable wanting to take that, seeing as life has been nothing but cruel to you. But it'll never result in happiness. Adam's demise is the reflection of that. The White Fang had a somewhat happy ending, seeing how the Belladonna's took over again. But Adam lost everything he may have had in his miserable life. And as a result, he will not be missed.
@@theycallmebad True, but learning his backstory would be pointless at this point. Because it doesn't effect the overall story. I kinda wish Weiss was the one to see it rather than Yang and Blake, but that's just me.
@@MoldyOog I mean yang and Blake could tell her next volume tho ... I think it would be weird for them to put an SDC brand just before we get to Atlas and not use that ... If you want to watch a beautifully choreographed fight between 2 good guys and a strong bad guy, you need to see the see the final fight in the movie The Raid: Redemption. The bad guy called Mad Dog was played by one of the honorable shinobi in the glass room fight from John Wick 3.
Also do they like listen to the soundtrack offscreen like I'm not asking for a reaction on that since the sound track is pretty big and the videos might become a bit to long
Adam in the Black trailer: a guy trying to steal a train and kill the people on it Adam in Volume 2: has one line Adam in Volume 3 episode 8: refuses to work with Cinder because it would go against his ideals, but abandons his ideals and works for her anyway These are Adam's three appearances he had before the Fall of Beacon. In the Fall of Beacon, it became immediately apparent that he was a total creep obsessed with Blake. I don't understand everyone talking about how they "ruined his character." Sorry for whatever headcanon you formed from those three appearances, but he never had a fleshed out character before the Fall of Beacon.
From what I get, people aren't so upset about what his character became, it was what his character COULD have been: a symbol for what mistreating people can do. Instead they just went with the obsessive stalkery ex trope, which upset a lot of people.
I think it's more on the lines of "wasted potential". He had the potential to be an interesting and compelling character but all of that was scraped for a lame stalker ex-boyfriend character. What was even the point hyping him up with the trailer? Or the point of having him branded with a Schnee Dust Company mark scarred on his face if it's not going to connect to anything else? Would had been interesting seeing Weiss react to that
@@connorwood9211 well blake might reveal that to the team which could make wiess want to take down to the sdc even more or be the catalyst for them wanting to take it down hell we might get a adam backstory in v7 in order to show faunus discrimination in the past aswell as how it is in the present
Even if that’s the case it doesn’t justify those people calling the entire Volune bad just because it didn’t reach their personal expectations, expectations that had little to no support mind you. Not really if you look on the reddit polls most people loved this episode. It’s just a small minority that took issue, numbering around 15 - 20% of the fandom. A fifth is big but it’s not as big an issue as some would have u believe.
The RWBY reddit is actually quite civil, the mods do a good job of getting rid of the more toxic elements of the fandom. You’ll still get the occasional idiotic post but it’s nowhere near as bad as some of things you’ll find on tumblr.
RWBY reddit has roughly 100,000 registered users at any given time,. For most surveys a 100,000 people is more then a large enough sample size to get a good idea about people’s opinion on a product. And generally speaking you’ll find more posts lauding Volume 6 rather then disparaging it.
"Did she make that promise to you? Or to the person you were pretending to be?" I love that line so much. Yang shutting down Adam's attempt to blame Blake and stopping him from playing the victim.
@Whiterose Petal Tale I mean she can, but it doesn't stop it from being cringy given the context of the situation. This is just a rehash of what happened with Raven. "Which is it, mom? Are you merciful or are you a survivor?" Like, Yang, those two things aren't mutually exclusive.
@Whiterose Petal Tale To be fair, mercy killing exists. I'm personally high key salty they got rid of the two main characters with cool ass fighting styles.

In my head cannon I assume the SDC brand is meant to burn the label onto wooden shipping crates of dust, that it was not made for branding people, but ended up being used on Adam for some reason or another. Most charitable option is that a worker used the brand in self-defense, or on the opposite side of the spectrum, it was used by a racist bigot without justification.
Just FYI, Adam's end was hinted at back in Volume 4's credits. The song "Armed and Ready" is about Yang's thoughts as she dons the new arm, and one part of the lyrics is "I am the golden one who burns just like the sun. Next time we meet is your disaster. I'll bring the punishment. Your song will be lament. Revenge: my happy ever after." So this episode was literally two seasons in the making.
Well, there's a lot of stories where the guy's girlfriend/sister/mother gets killed off for his character development. Seems only fair that Blake and Yang should get to kill off a guy for theirs.
He didn't deserve anything greater than what he got. He had potential but he clung to the narcissistic delusion that Blake was his property. It crippled his ability to grow or develop beyond that. As all of his other "property" crumbles around him (he lost the white fang that he saw as HIS rebellion, and his pride was dealt huge blow), and became his obsession. Blake was all he had left that he could "own" and the last person he could blame everything on to avoid examining himself and growing as a person. In hte end, he was pathetic, and died thusly.
@@Luinta He's talking about the writing. He was Monty's favorite character and he had planned a whole different story for him. The waste of potential is that he was turned into a character used to fuel Bumblebee shippers.
@@minimi1 do you have a source on that? On Monty having had a completely different plan for him? Because remember Monty was still involved in the planning for V3 and its ending. And Adam was already an asshole abusive ex boyfriend by then. As well, Bumblebee had already been set in motion as early as volume 2. So a claim like that would require a good source, say a direct quote or clip.
Okay to you saying it wasn't cool for one other then the v5 short we got zero yang semblance we also got songs like armed and ready having lyrics that basicaly imply that next time yang see's adam she's gonna kick his ass so the hype for the fight was there on top of that we have crwby saying during v5 production that they still haven't gotten yangs fire hair right so when her semblance activates its hype cause for one when that happens in the show most of the time something dope happens except when she gained the ability to park in the handicapped spot on top of that since v3 we have not had current yang post arm loss use her semblance so we got some nostalgia going then to top it off we get to see the great hair which acts as a double victory one personaly for yang and one for crwby for getting that fire hair to work in maya then we get a dope punch with the instrumental of nevermore playing as adam gets knocked back over all great scene with great buildup both inside and outside the show
I really didn’t care for Adam either way. If he got more screen time, cool. If he died, cool. He just didn’t feel impactful despite what he’s done. He felt like a child throwing a tantrum. Part of it is probably cuz we don’t see what the White Fang is besides what Adam has them doing before he kills Siena. It supposedly had more reasonable and just factions but all we saw was the Adam regime the whole time and so its entirety looks evil. We hear about the good but we don’t see it clash with the evil. We know he’s infecting it, but it doesn’t seem that way. We just see the final result besides the Adam short. Because we don’t really see the difference between factions, we know he’s important but he doesn’t feel like he is.
Originally, I believed he was going to be the Magneto (Marvel) for Faunus in this Universe but I was clearly wrong on so many levels to the point he became just Blake's ex-boyfriend.
@@Zangetsu26780 I may be the only one, but I thought his obsessive nature kinda just came out of nowhere. Blake called him a mentor in the second Volume, but the writers made him an abusive ex boyfriend in Volume 5. Which I personally didn't like. It went completely against what he had done up to that point and I think we lost potential for a great villain for a gay ship, but when I saw Adam get punched to the ground by Blake I knew his character was gone and just meant to die for the sake of Bumblebee...
@@MoldyOog You're not the only one that feels like Adam's character changed from decent (C) to worst (F). The writers could have made it to where he isn't an abusive ex-boyfriend in V3 but instead, make him help the Faunus get rid of the Grimm as a cover to gather more people to their side. If they made him not just change drastically, he could have had the potential to become an even better villain than Torchwick at some point.
Ricardo Valdes true. I mean I think they’re right in the sense they could’ve done better with adam. But ultimately I knew this was gonna be one of two endings for him.
Okay here we go mini rant So apparently a certain rwby critic was angry that blake and yang v adam had no song yet the mech fight did even though what we got instead was much much cooler in my opnion Start of the fight while blake fights adam we get some from shadows part 2 instrumentals and the lyrics in that song or basicaly the opposite of from shadows part one cause in that its all about hate and anger towards humans while part 2 has the song be about bringing the gap peacefully When adam gets the upper hand lionized instrumental verison plays though while this song is more about past adam instead of current yet some shitheads are applying it too current adam cough cough adel aka it's the only song thats realy about adam other then from shadows part which is more of the faunus as a whole and there suffering so lionized fits Yang shows up we get armed and ready which fits well since its a yang song about her recovering from what happened also it has lines that are basicaly saying next time i see adam I'm gonna kick his ass Yang super punches adam a tiny instrumental of the new song nevermore is played while yes nevermore played during this would be cool the lyrics wouldn't make sense there from there perspective after the battle its basicaly a victory song while being a song that debunks adams views and ideologies so its instrumental being played after the punch makes more sense especialy since that punch is the big turning point in the battle that leads to there victory also they kind of needed a credits song
Honestly, I feel like this was actually the best way for Adam to go. When you boil away the self-righteousness, when you strip away his pretenses, and when you rob him of the support structure he built around himself with extremism, murder, and charisma, all you have left of Adam is a spiteful, bitter, somewhat narcissistic cretin with possession problems and expressive egomania. Analyze Adam's motives, and his death here makes more sense as a storytelling mechanism and as a conclusion to his character arc, and the fusion of Blake's and Yang's. What do we know of his past? He was hurt by the SDC, and threw himself into intense martial training, so he could never be hurt again, and to gain vengeance. Perfectly reasonable so far. Then he joins up with others with the same general motives. Again, perfectly reasonable. Then we arrive at the problem. In becoming faceless, he loses his ability to express himself to an extent, so he starts decorating his mask to be scarier and more identifiable even if it compromises his anonymity, a classic symptom of somebody with an overexpressed need for attention. Then we see the battle between himself and the rural bigots who shot Ghira. We see there that he takes down the humans with nonlethal means until the end, and as soon as one authority figure chastises him for a probably unneeded use of lethal force, the more sympathetic authority figure (and the general population of sympathetic minions and bystanders) immediately overrules the higher authority with castigation, and the implicit rewarding of Adam's violence. Then, we see his entering into the retinue of Sienna Khan, somebody who uses violence and a distinctive appearance to get what she wants, and the successes Blake talked about in Volume 1, where their crime was actually earning them a distant respect from the humans he saw hurt him even if it is less than ideal. We see how effective their violence is, we see how destructive Sienna has allowed him to become, and we see how he is starting to repulse the more ethical people around him with his increasingly unjustifiable actions, first with Ilia and then with Blake. Then, we see him slip into outright murder, and how he has allowed his increasing dislike and disdain for humanity to render him completely unconcerned with human casualties (Black Trailer, anyone?) Then we see that even Faunus casualties no longer trouble him as his own ego and drive to be adored, powerful, and acknowledged have subsumed all sympathy and ability to commiserate from his actions as he happily allies with criminals he has every reason to hate (Cinder slaughtered his ENTIRE CAMP and yet he's uncomplainingly working for them just five months later, even getting huge numbers of his own people killed in the last episode of Volume 2!). Then we see that he refers to the entire White Fang as siding with him even if we know that it isn't true, then we see him subordinate his own organization even FURTHER to the obviously racist and destructive organization Salem leads, to the extent of smearing the inside of his tiltjet aircraft to lure Grimm into them to airdrop them into a school run by somebody who has Faunus students (look carefully at the inside of Adam's tent in V3E7 to see more of the Forever Fall tree sap that attracts Grimm, then ask how he got so many Grimm into his planes in V3E10). Then we see that any last shreds of personal restraint and conduct have dissolved entirely in his behavior as he ruthlessly murders students in V3E10 and V3E11, casting aside any sympathy an impartial observer could have towards him (watch reaction videos to the scene where he stabs Blake to see what I mean by that). Then he mutilates Blake and Yang not to achieve tactical dominance, which he clearly already has, but just to drive home the point that he controls them, he can hurt them at will, and satisfy his own driving motive to bring pain to the people who have hurt him. He's become spite, pure spite, like Blake told Sun in Volume 5. At this point, Adam has descended into that particular mix of psychosis, narcissism, and borderline personality disorder that defines his interactions with the rest of the series. Upon having now sold his last shred of principle to Salem, any personal or professional reason to moderate himself is gone, and he murders his former mentor and commander who now poses very reasonable objections to his ever-increasing violence. Sienna Khan is removed, and he now pursues his other mentor, by killing Ghira for the crime of loving his daughter. Adam has now lost any audience sympathy, and his organization is not directed by the logistical genius of Ghira (who we see turn Menagerie into a prosperous town of peace and quiet even while suffering gross overpopulation) nor the charisma and efficacy of Sienna (who we know from Blake actually succeeded in bringing respect to the Faunus), but on the force of his appeal to his followers. When he breaks from the traditional actions of the White Fang, ordering the destruction of Haven, ordering the murder of the Belladonnas, and trying to abandon his own men at Haven Academy, the entire house of cards comes down. The world can see that not only do many Faunus oppose him when he craves adulation so deeply, but so too does he only care about himself, ordering his followers to kill civilians at Haven even while outgunned and running at the first sign of trouble. His organization in shambles, his followers abandon him, and he can no longer lie to himself about wanting superiority or even equality for the Faunus. This is crucial to understanding his irrational actions in Volume 6. He has completely stopped mentioning Faunus rights or equality in Volume 6, since he can't pretend that is is driving motive any more. He abandons his mask for a blindfold, he abandons his stated motive in favor of petty revenge, and he lashes out at Blake with contradictory accusations in his final confrontation. His pettiness and vitriol are all he has left. Now, where does that leave Blake and Yang? He hurt them. Not only did he abuse Blake, but he hurt each of them to hurt the other, and he did so for reasons that even Blake can't pretend are valid or admirable any more. His infatuation with her was far smaller than he desire to control her, and now, with nothing left to himself but his own madness, his treat has to resolve. After all, the story is about to move to Atlas, where he can't conceivably threaten the girls thanks to three volumes of massively increased local security. The story demands he can't get any closer to them for two years or so real-time, thanks to the production of the Atlas arc of the story, and his organizational threat to the others has ended thanks to completely losing control of the rebel Faunus. He thinks Cinder's dead, he can't go back to Salem because he is of no further use to her, and he can't go back to the White Fang - he tried once already and he wound up KILLING THEIR LEADERS. So now what? Death. He's beyond redemption, his mental illnesses have destroyed any relatablility both within and without the story proper, and he may soon be left behind by the skills of the girls, and of course Qrow. He has served his purpose in ripping the scab off Blake's emotional wounds so she can heal into a better woman. He has cut Yang down to size and taught her to be smarter and tougher than before. He taught GHira to get back into the fight. He taught Sun and Ilia how to move forward. He has to die. His role is over. He's the boss of the second level of Yang's campaign and the third level of Blake's, and he is if no more use to the more powerful villains. He has to die. So he does.
You do realize that cinder threatened to kill adam if he didn't comply, right? He didn't willingly go along with her, he initially said no, but after cinder got half the maiden powers, she came back and threatened to kill him (and possibly the rest of his men, not sure) unless he worked for her.
It's mostly self-defence and the fact that they HAVE to get the relic to Atlus no matter what or more grimm will come regardless. Cordovin shouldn't have brought in a mech when she could have just called her fighters.
The crazy gnome could have followed protocol and scrambled some fighters, but no she had to take the anti-giant grimm mech into battle against targets it wasn't ment to fight
Even if it was self defense, they still should've realized that taking out the mech was a bad idea. Jaune even admits that the mech is meant to fight large grimm like the one that shows up later, so by bringing down the mech, they're also bringing down the city's best defense.
Dust bullets don't do anything, and even less when they're not enhanced by aura. They're only useful to stun an enemy for a second. It makes sense that Adam went for the killing blow after being disarmed and surrounded
@@jameshughes7946 What for? He was at a disadvantage, he could hit one of them and the other would be on him immediately. Imagine taking another punch of that arm without aura, he had to finish that right there.
@@jameshughes7946 That sounds great and all, but it's not that easy. If he took the time to do that Yang could have shot him too (with two guns), or Blake could have reached the blades even if she was shot, because again, Dust bullets are a joke, more so without aura. Whoever grabbed the melee weapon first won. But the thing is, we are talking about logical and complex thinking here when they had one second to make a choice. He'd just lost his sword, on which he based all his fighting style and his semblance, and he looked for something to replace it. He panicked because he probably knew his gun wouldn't help him win.

I may be the only one, but I thought his obsessive nature kinda just came out of nowhere. Blake called him a mentor in the second Volume, but the writers made him an abusive ex boyfriend in Volume 5. Which I personally didn't like.
@@MoldyOog It does seemed out of nowhere, trying to looking at it from his point of view: his girlfriend run away out of nowhere right in the middle of a mission, no message, nothing, then when he met her in the fall of Beacon he start showing the obsessive side of him swearing that he will find her no matter where she hides, and that was in Volume 3, at that point the only thing we knew about him was only his skills in the Black trailer and two little lines in Volume 2. I'd say the main flaw was that they didn't give him enough screen time to get what type of guy he was suppose to be, by looking at the trailer he just looked like a badass guy who had everything under control and by the things Blake said about the White fangs that they had extreme methods of manifesting.
@Whiterose Petal Tale I know that doesn't mean I don't think it's a stupid over used character trope with no originality or purpose. It would have made more sense if he was hunting her down for the betrayal and not romantic obsession. IMO
@Whiterose Petal Tale Yes but I believe that's a better trope even if it is just as if not more over used and over all made more sense than what they gave us, and also you're making a lot of assumptions on me as a fan. I would like to remind you that his obsessive nature came out of nowhere in Volume 5. When Adam had the option to go after Blake multiple times before hand he chose to ignore her and focus on his cause. However, to make us hate his character the writers made him betray all the morally gray parts of his characters. By the time he'd died he'd killed Faunus, obsessed over Blake rather than actually leading the White Fang and at that point abandoned all his previously established goals. I know you're probably just mad at me, because I think Bumblebee feels forced which being in a gay relationship currently has shown me that it is one of the most unnatural gay relationships in a show. I don't care if you can like RWBY as it is now. I personally can't with the way the writing is now (even though it definitely wasn't the gold standard before Oum passed away, but that's a different topic). The way they completely abandon Yang's PTSD for instance killed me. She shakes her hand a couple episodes and then we're done with that. That alone was enough for me to realize that charcter developement was a secondary goal that the writers are so unable to do it's maddening. Hey, also I don't write fanfiction about Adam or anyone in RWBY. I'm pretty gay, but I'mnot that gay. Thinking about it kind of makes me chuckle, but you seem to be one of the people who made gay fanfiction about Bumblebee and fan art on Tumblr before it was trendy. Ya know, since we're making assumptions about each other.
@Whiterose Petal Tale Well all I can say is that's your opinion and let's agree to disagree. As someone who is in a gay relationship Bumblebee is dumb and forced no matter what sexual preference either of the two characters have, and is clearly just fan service. Which I already hate in shows to begin with. Blake had four shitty love interests and all around annoys me as a character and Yang's PTSD wasn't inaccurate, but wasn't explored upon either. She got over it extremely quickly and it was barely brought up again. Which I didn't think was doing it any justice. The writers can't write, the animators can barely animate and the voice actors have been shit since the begging, but I always gave it a pass because they're RT. Ever since Oum's original vision was tampered with the show's gone down hill.
There are a couple of things I find annoying about the fight 1 Yang and Adam have Shotguns on their wrists and waist what’s stoping them from using it especially when Yang grabbed Adam’s sword and Yang could’ve shot Adam when deciding a broken sword is better 2 I can’t be the only one that thinks Blake and Yang had plot armor for this fight because Adam doesn’t even get 1 good shot in when fighting them 3 Yangs arm is not that strong I’m sorry but there’s no way her arm is strong enough to go against what I assume is the full rage of Adam
adam fell off a tower, took hits from blake, got floored by a motorcycle, spammed his semblance, not to mention Yang had more aura than Adam at that point..yet you're saying we're supposed to believe she couldn't withstand that attack? His aura lasted for a long fucking time if you think about it.
Didn't get a good shot in He littarly broke both Thier auras I think he got plenty of good shots in unless you were looking for one of them to get injuries. Plus why would Yang use a gun against a guy that billets have never had any effect against I think she made the smart decision rather than do something that has never worked.
"It's interesting Adam has the Schnee Dust Company branding, let's see where it goes." weeeeeeeeeeeell..................................... it ended up with Weiss not even seeing Adam... not a single time...... probably didn't even know his name, only Blake and Yang talk about him and just with each other.
@Whiterose Petal Tale H was the only branded faunus in a great position of power. Not to mention that the brand opened up possibilities for his character that will now be forever unexplored.
One thing I don’t often see being talked about is how Adam’s entire character, from his need for vengeance against humans, his obsession over Blake, to his lashing out at every slight against him, can be explained by him being the epitome of a sociopath. Sociopaths are by nature lacking in empathy, arrogant, emotionally shallow, manipulative, and having an inflated sense of self-worth, all traits that Adam has shown at some point or another. The especially unpleasant sociopaths are also defensive to the point of insanity, feeling that everything in the world is out to get them and that they need to retaliate against anything that can be seen as an enemy, oftentimes preemptively. This can lead to them being control freaks who have to be the one dominating the situation at all times. And all of this goes a long way in understanding why Adam thinks and acts the way he does. If you look at pretty much every single appearance that Adam has had in the show, all of his actions can be traced back to his fundamental inability to care about anyone except himself. Adam’s need to get revenge against the humans goes back his branding by the SDC. He was traumatized by the event and blamed the humans as a whole for his suffering, which, honestly, is a pretty childish (though understandable) generalization to make. This, along with other events, show that his maturity since the branding ground to a halt, which is probably the biggest reason behind his sociopathy. Anyway, he eventually found the White Fang, decided that the organization would be the best tool to use for getting his vengeance, and worked to quickly move up the ranks. His skills and rise soon made him think of himself as the savior of the Faunus, and he made sure that his followers believed that hype. But despite his words that everything he does is for the Faunus, his interaction with Cinder’s group post-Breach (where he reassures them that the White Fang will continue working with them despite the heavy Faunus casualties) and his actions at the Battle of Haven (his immediate willingness to blow himself and all the civilian/White Fang Faunus around him up after his plan failed) show that he never really cared about the lives of other Faunus AT ALL. He just sees them as a means to an end, and ultimately, he does not hate the humans for what they did to the Faunus, but for what they did to HIM. As for his relationship with Blake, he saw her as one of the few positive relationships in his entire life. However, due to his inability to form strong emotional attachments, he only saw Blake as a sort of trophy, not as another person with her own desires and goals (think about how he says that he’s still GOT her in the Adam short, or how he only ever talks about their relationship in terms of what HE wants or how HE was hurt). Thus, when Blake left him (or was in danger of leaving him), Adam felt that his vision and control over his future world was severely compromised, leading him to abuse and guilt-trip her in hopes that she either comes back to him or pays dearly for making the “mistake” of leaving him. This is seen in almost EVERY single interaction he has with her. Despite Blake and Sun’s conversation in V5C5 being a very direct and perhaps inelegant way of pointing it out, Blake has a point when she says that Adam is the embodiment of spite. Adam has a childish desire to get back at everything that he thinks has hurt him, most likely due to the aforementioned stunting of his maturity. It makes him deeply insecure despite his outward pride in being the one to lead the Faunus to victory. He wants to be lionized, to be celebrated and worshiped, as his character song suggests, and he won’t tolerate anything getting in the way of that vision, even if it’s something as simple as a partner leaving him. It’s sad, and pathetic, but it’s how a lot of real-life sociopaths operate, and it doesn’t make them any less dangerous. And his philosophy of spite, even though it comes from a juvenile place, is terrifyingly contagious, and hate on a pedestal is an excellent breeding ground to gather more hate. That is why despite the pitiable nature of spiteful individuals, it’s a bad idea to underestimate how much power they can have when it comes to destroying institutions and eroding the positive emotions that can unite people. That is why I find Adam’s character a fascinating and disturbing one in its own right, because he embodies one of the most prevalent, destructive, and insidious emotions known to man. One more thing about his character getting redeemed: Redemption was never in the cards for him, and the show makes that abundantly clear. He never feels guilty for the lives, both human and Faunus, he has led to their deaths, and it’s obvious that he was never going to. He blames absolutely everyone but himself for his failures, as he is inherently incapable of empathizing with others and accepting responsibility for his actions. To even begin on the road to redemption, one needs to feel remorse for their crimes, and it’s obvious that at the end of day, Adam isn’t sorry about anything. Whatever sympathetic qualities Adam may have had in the past is completely gone in the show proper, and all that’s left is a hollow, selfish man that has become a monster of his own making.
I love love love the just all out savage mode the trio went into for the knives at the end... adam was really beating them 1v2 and bumblebee really needed each other’s skills to overcome him.
Whiterose Petal Tale I don't remember that in the script. I just followed her for 6 Months and made a documentary of how to survive in the wild for 6 months.
Well technically, it was 2 weeks wasn’t it. After Volume 5, the Volume 6 first episode timeline wise was 2 weeks after the Haven attack. Adam was already in Anima (The White Fang high leader scene, assuming that it’s in Anima & not menagerie because then V5 is really not great) so Adam followed Blake across half a continent. Haven to Argus. Cinder is the one is a month behind the team also i hope RT stops this one character in current time, the other behind the time. Just stick to current time, so many people were confused about how Blake arrived in time for Haven & others just don’t care like i didn’t even know Cinder was a month behind Team Rwby until someone made a video about it.
In Shannon's own words: Canonical lesbians. (Note: Yes, I know Blake would be bi) (Note 2: Do not talk to me about the joke Yang makes to Ruby about boys in V1)
I don't know why writers seem to want to make gay or bi characters defined by the fact that they are that sexuality. I think it's dumb and feeds the obsessive nature that young teenagers have around gay characters especially. This coming from a bi sexual male. I don't think this represents us in a natural light, and it makes us even more of a taboo. IMO, but I don't speak for anyone but myself. LGBTQ people shouldn't be used as a marketing tool to get more viewers. They should have good story and their sexuality should be brought up and explored somewhat, but not teased upon like Rooster Teeth has done with RWBY for years.
@@MoldyOog What do you mean? When they pretty much confirmed this ship, I instantly knew deep down that White Rose would be the next ship. The fandom is already raging over Velvet's word about Coco "breaking many girls hearts" or something like that. I honestly think they should have Ruby or Weiss with Jaune be in a relationship but I constantly keep throwing that out of my mind because I remember the writers have it to where Ruby x Weiss must be a thing.
@@MoldyOog "Canonical lesbians" was a minor meme when RWBY first started, which was revived when Shannon confirmed that the segment he wrote for Season 14 of Red vs. Blue would indeed include canonical lesbians. We don't want Blake and Yang to be defined entirely by their sexuality. Their story is a pretty standard love story, just with two girls.
@Whiterose Petal Tale 1) I don't ship anyone in RWBY of all things. 2) Confirming a ship at the beginning of your show takes all anticipation out of the relationship because at least you could be curious of them dating in the future. Example: What if Tony Stark x Pepper Potts were confirmed by Marvel right before Iron Man ever came out? Would you still feel like it was a surprise of them dating in Iron Man 3 or feel like it was taken away because they confirmed it all? 3) You need to calm down because you're getting angry at people replying to comments on a TH-cam video. Just because you can reply doesn't mean you have to but at the same time, try putting something more positive or nothing at all. That's all I have to say to you.
@Whiterose Petal Tale 1. Why not just have them together at the beginning of the show and display the trouble they have just to make them go back to each other no matter what happens if it's already confirmed to be a canon ship? 2. A better example would be Asami x Korra then, how would you feel if they confirmed that ship?
Adam was one of my favourite characters, I really loved his motivations as I am in my own position of never letting go. His raw determination of never giving up was really cool. An episode idea I had(not an episode just a scene) would be showing Adam deal with the apathy, since he was stalking them the whole time I would love to see him nearby and just shrug it off because his passion and determination was too strong for the apathy to make him give up. Just a little Idea I had.
You know as great as this fight was, I think it would’ve been more interesting if it had been Weiss and Blake against Adam. Just think about it for a second: a Schnee and a Faunus fighting side by side against someone who suffered at the hands of the former’s family. What a clash of ideals that could’ve turned out to be.
Whiterose Petal Tale right but being aware and actually seeing the atrocities the company was doing are very different. Story wise it makes sense and would’ve been a great fight also. Not to mention Adam’s reaction to seeing a Schnee would be priceless
@@vgfunman agreed adding weiss into the mix would complicate things. Plus this has Jacques all over it. Wiess i believe , doesn't have a clue to what was done to Adam.
Adam makes me sad. He was such a cool villain.....in the first few volumes. He was wrong, but he had a full purpose. He was bitter and wanted revenge against humanity. Then he devolved into creepy ex boyfriend and died in a stupid, story ruining way.
If you guys haven't seen K/DA, can you please react to it..? Both the Music Video and live performance plz. Its related to League of Legends... Thanks :)
Wow Blind Wave actually understood Adam's character as he was a lying, backstabbing, stalking creep that only had his look and weapon to carry him... Half of the fanbase couldn't do that and got mad for nothing... Like I get it, he's cool but what he does is way less cool !
I just think that Adam could have died fighting for a cause in the wrong way like it was foreshadowed in v2. Instead he lost sight of what he was fighting for and made the stupid decision to go for Blake's sword instead of easily running away and or getting back Wilt. Overall his death was pretty lame and we will sadly be unlikely to even see anything about Adam's branding ever again in RWBY. My favorite character killed off early while being unarmed. Don't pretend like Blake and Yang couldn't have backed off with the weapons leaving Adam to run. It would have been the protagonist way to win against Adam, but they killed him instead. I'm just dissapointed. However, it's how M&K are writing so I'll let it be. I swear I'll drop the show if in Volume 7 Bumbleby gets shoved in my face anymore. But that's my opinion on this volume and possibly next volume. No one has to agree with me, and I don't expect anyone to. Again, I'm just disappointed. I'll probably switch over to SLVR when it comes out. Or just read variations of RWBY 3.0. I just hope to gain interest in RWBY again.
I’m still upset that after Volume 3, we would see more of Adam & what’s the actual deal here or his backstory but he wasn’t included at all in Volume 4. Just a bit upset, even in the intro Yang falls & it’s just his glowing mask. V5 wasn’t great & V6 we didn’t get that much information. Just his face reveal. Overall i hope the villains are actually interesting & written well.
OK STOP CROW CAN TURN INTO A BIRD SO STOP SAYING HE CAN'T OK LIKE JEEZ THEY CAN'T SHOW MAN TURNING INTO ONE BECAUSE THEY DO NOT KNOW HOW TO SHOW TURNING IN TO ONE OK SO STOP SAYING THAT LIKE OMG and I'm sorry am yet but I just what to tell you two so plz stop and oz did say the 2 brother and sister can turn into bird say STOP SAYING THEY CAN'T but I hope you have a nice day
I kind of feel that this Volume has been plagued by characters suffering from 'stupid'. Ozma knew Ruby isn't the type to betray him, but he pushed and caused the relic to be used. Qrow saw the stakes involved in the battle against Salem but is acting like a child over it. I get Qrow feels like he was the only one filled in and then he finds out he knows virtually nothing but it doesn't change the battle they were fighting. Maria or Qrow seriously didn't suspect the Apathy if they knew of them? Both are experienced warriors against the Grimm, even if Maria is forgetful, the Apathy and their effects are hard to not see. Most of all Cordovan. She isn't just borderline psycho, she crossed the border and bought a bottle of Tequila. She won't check with Ironwood despite having airships going to Atlas regularly that could send a message. She over reacts to everything. She attempts to kill the daughter of the biggest industrialist in her kingdom and then brings that mech out causing mass panic in Argus. Every step of the way there is a chance for her to be at least reasonable but she jacks it up again. Adam at least is keeping with his character and is very smart about his attack on Blake, it was sheer luck Yang actually get there before Adam took his revenge and he comes within a hair of taking them both out. My only gripe with him is he keeps falling for Blakes semblance. I would have liked it better if he had caught her out and said something like "That isn't going to save you like it did at Beacon." It would have added a little more jeopardy to the fight to show Adam had grown, not just Yang and Blake. All in all this Volume had some great moments but some serious let downs as well. The back story of Ozma and Salem, the Apathy and the train ride itself were all fantastic but a lot of other stuff fell flat for me. Maria was a good mix of comedy and wisdom but she wasn't really needed and a lot of her stuff could have been handled using Oscar. While it was great seeing the return of Neo, the whole bit with Cinder and the turn around seemed forced. I would have rather they kept Cinder out of it until next Volume and left the question of the Fall maiden unanswered. And why wouldn't Emerald just leave to find Cinder if she was that loyal. Yes she is afraid of Salem but knowing Cinder was alive would have been a great moment for her to get the heck out of dodge and go looking for her.
Yang and Blake is so forced by shippers lol, talk about obsessive lol. They're good friends but nothing more - Monty era wasn't about hooking them up, it's Yangs VA and the weirdo shippers who are so delirious over it who are pushing it. Can I see any RWBY video or discussion without these vocal crazies gushing about this "ship" of theirs. I'll miss Adam but he went out a badass despite having nothing left like the White Fang. He can't 1v4 RWBY so this was best way to close the book on his contribution (he's also been a massive influence on both Blake and Yangs development)
I totally agree I mean in the Mangas that everyone calls can Blake even says Yang is like a sister. And Yang is referred to a team Mom. Yang even says she looks at Blake and Weiss the same way she looks at Ruby.
I'm kinda angry about Adam's death. He could have super easily just grabbed his shotgun/sheath and shot Yang and then bada-bing bada-boom she's dead. Yang and Blake have way too much plot armor.
You know if you also completely ignore that yang also has a gun that could easily kill him as well, and even if he dodged blake was also reaching for her sword which is also a gun. Either way adam was fucked, no "Plot armor" about it.
People love to act like Adam was going to be anything other than the jealous abusive ex/violent extremist who only really cares about his own power, but the clues and characterization are all there. It makes complete sense to end Adam's character here. He doesn't have Salem's help anymore after Haven. He's lost the trust of his own faction in the White Fang. He literally has nothing or no one to come back to. It's better to end his character where it started, the abuse of Blake and terrorism of Yang at his hands, than trying to make him have some half-assed redemption arc that they already gave to a much more worthwhile character (Ilia).
@Whiterose Petal Tale Yeah, it's like his entire character was set up to be this manipulative and abusive person to Blake and people just did not want to see it, preferring their own fan-ideas or what have you.
@@vgfunman I honestly would have liked it more if Adam was just the Magneto (Marvel) for Faunus all around the world and even ended up joining forces with Blake after calming himself down. He could have even apologized to Bumblebee for his actions or something like that.
@@vgfunman Yeah, Adam is just a wasted character at the end of the day and of this series. Honestly would have liked this more if it happened in V5 but at least we got his death.
I didn’t like that Adam was killed off. I wanted to explore more of his back story to hopefully understand why he is the way he is. No one is born evil. Adam was most likely a victim of his circumstances and seeing that he couldn’t rise above discrimination and stereotypes makes me feel bad for him in a weird way. I don’t see him as a hero, he should still be condemned for what he did, but death is just an easy way out. I’m not saying the writers are lazy, I love their story. But I would have liked it more if Adam survives that and learned he was fighting the wrong fight. I think Adam is a cool character, and if handled a little different, could have become a good character. Not just a sexual-deviant. That’s just my opinion tho.
I think it's fine that he was written to die this way, but this fight happened WAY too early. I think they were just looking for a way to pad out the volume, since there wasn't much going on.
@@jdavis8373 Except they're going to Atlas. The fight had to be now, otherwise it would make no sense. Adam couldn't get into Atlas, and he was the last low-stakes villain standing.
Looking back, people who said this death wasn't deserved were dead wrong. They devoted so much time to the fight. Its a really long and well crafted fight. Plus their skill against his made a lot of sense
I really hate this episode because even against yang and Blake adam should have won because they did nothing training wise since volume 3 it would have taken all of team RWBY to beat him and it would have been much cooler but that’s just my opinion
Nora & Ren's relationship will still be the best in the show because it took time to develop them and it wasn't pushed down into a single Volume like Yang x Blake in my opinion.
Yang and Blake have been building steadily from the beginning, even the first trailer's music ties "Black" and "Yellow" together in a single stanza, whereas "Red" and "White" get stanzas to themselves. After V1 laid the groundwork, V2 expanded upon it with the talk in V2C6, and V3 finally kicked it over into outright explicit, first with drawing comparison between Adam (The old love interest) and Yang (The new love interest) in V3C8, and then the framing of the the confrontation between them and Adam in V3C11. Adam himself is a clear indicator, too, given that he's constructed not just as a foil to Blake, through his colours, weapon of choice, and story, but to Yang as well. Like her, he's passionate and has temper issues, and, as is spelled out directly in V6C11, his Semblance is just like Yang's, absorbing power to strike back. His hair even glows when he powers it up, like Yang's does. V4 struggles in that Yang has very little screen time, the least of all four leads, and spends most of that in an angst coma, but on the other side, Blake specifically states that she cares more about RWY than anyone else, ruling out any ship outside of those three, and her voice cracks when mentioning Yang. Finally, V5 really hammered it home. Blake vacating stands as a clear trigger for Yang throughout the volume, but when her eyes turn red in V5C8, they're noticeably softer, almost pink. That's followed up by Yang admitting to Weiss that she needed Blake to be there for her after V3, and it's all juxtaposed with Ilia's confession in Menagerie. Of course, after that there's the meeting between them at Haven, where they zero in on each other and just stare, and the volume ends with All That Matters, a song outright confirmed to be from Yang's perspective, about Blake. Foreshadowing, it's there.
@Miles Luna We already know Blake Sun wasn't going to be a thing of how the show went on after a certain point. RW/BY are the canon ships at the end of the day.
@Whiterose Petal Tale That's the best part, in my opinion, they haven't confirmed they are dating at all except Nora's 1 line in this Volume. Blake & Yang only had scenes in V2 & this one.
Yang's eyes glow the same color red whenever she is angry in or outside of a fight. In my opinion, I believed Yang was angry at Blake for just leaving her without saying a word. She would have been angry if Weiss or Ruby left the same way as Blake at the end of Volume 3 but they didn't because their parents brought them back home. Yang has only 6 minutes off of Weiss's storyline but didn't waste too much time on nothing during her part of Volume 4. Adam needs a blade to use his semblance (symbolized his abusive side) while Yang could absorb the energy through her body (displayed her ability to hold in her aggression), which I understand completely after a friend explained it to me. Yang forgave Blake a little too fast for my taste. I would have liked it if a showed Blake kept apologizing to Yang for a couple seconds to a minute and having Yang giving her a tight hug while tears ran down Yang's face. Never really liked the music after Volume 3 and couldn't get into Blake's theme song. I understand the majority of your points but in my opinion, if Bumblebee wasn't meant to be a canon relationship from the start. I would have liked Blake & Sun to begin dating each other or at least kept in contact after leaving the train station.
I have a question for everyone. Would these be considered spoiler questions if I attended PAX? 1. "Will Neo be making an appearance in later Volumes?" 2. "Is Ozpin able to control Oscar or only speak to him on a mental level like an inner personality? 3. "Will Ruby Rose be gaining more knowledge about her silver eyes in Volume 5 or in future volumes of the show?" By the way, let's act as if I was asking these back after Volume 4's finale.
Why would you want to ask those questions? They've all been answered already. Also, if you were asking them after V4, the crew couldn't answer any of them (except maybe the last one) without spoiling later volumes.
@Whiterose Petal Tale Why do believe even like Neo? Is it because of how skilled at dodging and redirecting someone's attacks, her semblance, or just because she's cute? I'll give you a hint, 1 of these shouldn't be the reason an entire character comes back. Thanks for playing.
My only problem is that Adam was able to one shot yang and best Blake with ease in end of season 3, and now with no training but Blake and some sparring that yang did with her dad they overpowered him. I feel that Adam had so much potential as a character but oh well.
He beat a Blake who had been fighting grimm for a while, when she was too terrified to actually fight back. And he hit yang when she tried to throw a flying haymaker and left herself wide open. Also he had been building up his semblance for a while when he one-shot yang in V3. In this fight, he was unhinged and just kept spamming his semblance, which prevented it from ever getting really powerful.
@@teamcybr8375 That's a good point on how he was able to one shot them before, but I still think he got nerfed so badly since season 5, he definitely on such a huge level compared to them, but in s4 Blake can just sidestep and break his arm. Bs imo. Just kinda annoyed this character who had potential get killed off.
@@ajrun7831 I think he took that hit in V5 for the same reason Yang took the hit in V3. He got angry and charged in for a haymaker-type blow without thinking. Honestly, I think his potential was spent. It's been shown since the beginning that he never really cared about the faunus, Blake and Yang have both moved on, and the whole squad is going to Atlas, where he could never reach them. I think it's better that they ended his story properly than have him just keep popping up.
@@teamcybr8375 I feel that it would of been better if he was more than just the jealous ex like in the trailer and s3 where he was intimidating. He just became an annoyance to watch after although it was probably better just to kill him whe his character had nothing left to do.
Question: if Yang and Blake were in control of the situation(like they were) and they grabbed the weapon parts first, why couldn't they back away instead of oh idk STABBING AN UNARMED MAN UNNECESSARILY!!!!!
Because panic and adrenaline. Plus that very same unarmed man was a crazy dude who stalked, threatened, attempted to kill, refused to back down while at a disadvantage, and was even reaching for the very same weapon that one of them was reaching for so he could kill her. So if you think it was unnecessary, you obviously were not paying enough attention. (Edit)Plus at what point where they so in control of this situation accept for when Yang had just showed up. The fight between the three of them was super even, and in a fight like that where your life is on the line constantly, there will be no point where either side is truly in a state of control. The best you can hope for is getting a slight edge, like where Blake was blown back and lost her aura.
@Whiterose Petal Tale @Nemasis Demarini granted you're right about adrenaline I disagree with the act of killing him if he didn't back down the first time. Instead of stabbing with the weapons they could have turn their wrist to punch Adam from both the stomach and the head likely knocking him out due to lack of aura. This would prevent blood from being on Yang and Blake's hands while simultaneously stopping Adam.
@Whiterose Petal Tale Who said anything about redemtion. I'm talking about high quality maximum security prison in Argus. Adam had his chance and bit the bullet. But for now just only young adults to commit murder instead of apprehending him is an out right felony.
V3c11: Yang lets her emotions get the best of her and charges in a blind rage against an in control Adam making her pay.
V6c12; Adam lets his emotion get the best of him and charges in a blind rage against an in control Yang making him pay.

So true, the one in control ends up winning both times.
Karma's a bitch... The arm that he took was the tool of his defeat.
That's exactly it.
@@Neekazan That's true.

Fun fact: The fight between Yang+Blake vs Adam was supposed to be at the end of S3 in the cafeteria. The fight itself was mostly choreographed by Monty himself.
Not most of it. Only a couple of shots, most notably the spinning sword one. And they had to fully recreate them in Maya.
Even if it was just a bit if it, this is true? Where did you see this? That is awesome.
@@11natey you can find Monty’s original animation of the fight online, with the old animation engine.
I'll just say it now yangs fire hair looks much better then it did in v1 through v3
the effects animation has definitely seen an upgrade; that being said, I found Yang's hair much more alluring in the first 3 volumes compared to the later ones.
@@nemasisdemarini8339 Yea, but as a trade off, yang's character design lost quite a bit of aesthetic appeal, at least for my taste
@@MrMoises621 That's a fair opinion. I don't mind either way.

It's one of the things I like the best about watching your channel!
well when it gets out of hand they need to be more blunt about it this bumblebee ship literally destroyed a good character.
@@Luinta ok
It's safe.)
And the thing is, Adam ruined Adam.
Adam was more skilled than either Yang and Blake. So they needed to work together to beat him
I argue that Adam was stronger but not more skilled.
@Whiterose Petal Tale I can see that, but i still choose to believe Yang is the strongest.
He doesn't need to be alive for us to see his backstory.
@@theycallmebad That also c:
@@theycallmebad True, but learning his backstory would be pointless at this point. Because it doesn't effect the overall story. I kinda wish Weiss was the one to see it rather than Yang and Blake, but that's just me.

Adam in Volume 2: has one line
Adam in Volume 3 episode 8: refuses to work with Cinder because it would go against his ideals, but abandons his ideals and works for her anyway
These are Adam's three appearances he had before the Fall of Beacon.

Goodbye Adam Taurus. You had wonderful potential but in the end all I could say was "...Oh"

Start of the fight while blake fights adam we get some from shadows part 2 instrumentals and the lyrics in that song or basicaly the opposite of from shadows part one cause in that its all about hate and anger towards humans while part 2 has the song be about bringing the gap peacefully
When adam gets the upper hand lionized instrumental verison plays though while this song is more about past adam instead of current yet some shitheads are applying it too current adam cough cough adel aka it's the only song thats realy about adam other then from shadows part which is more of the faunus as a whole and there suffering so lionized fits
Yang shows up we get armed and ready which fits well since its a yang song about her recovering from what happened also it has lines that are basicaly saying next time i see adam I'm gonna kick his ass
Yang super punches adam a tiny instrumental of the new song nevermore is played while yes nevermore played during this would be cool the lyrics wouldn't make sense there from there perspective after the battle its basicaly a victory song while being a song that debunks adams views and ideologies so its instrumental being played after the punch makes more sense especialy since that punch is the big turning point in the battle that leads to there victory also they kind of needed a credits song
So happy to see your reaction to Yang and Blake killing Adam. So satisfying! :)
So he does.
Wouldn't it be funny if he didn't die?
No. It would actually be kind of annoying.
@@Zangetsu26780 No. That would be dumb and really really annoying.

You do realize that cinder threatened to kill adam if he didn't comply, right? He didn't willingly go along with her, he initially said no, but after cinder got half the maiden powers, she came back and threatened to kill him (and possibly the rest of his men, not sure) unless he worked for her.
Team RWBY were kinda the villains in this situation for destroying the mech. Then again, Cordovan did try to kill children.
It's mostly self-defence and the fact that they HAVE to get the relic to Atlus no matter what or more grimm will come regardless.
Cordovin shouldn't have brought in a mech when she could have just called her fighters.

Dust bullets don't do anything, and even less when they're not enhanced by aura. They're only useful to stun an enemy for a second. It makes sense that Adam went for the killing blow after being disarmed and surrounded
@@rmdur7567 But both their auras broke even if they don't do much it would still hit Blake and possibly knock her back so he could get her gun/sword
@@jameshughes7946 What for? He was at a disadvantage, he could hit one of them and the other would be on him immediately. Imagine taking another punch of that arm without aura, he had to finish that right there.
@@rmdur7567 Hit Blake to knock her back and use the sword to fight Yang back neither of them have aura they're on as much of a disadvantage as him
@@jameshughes7946 That sounds great and all, but it's not that easy. Dear HammerTime RWBY Cracks are some good civ. Not a request or anything, just talkin' truth
Adam is more than just a creep. He's technically out for revenge against the one person that ruined his entire world, who also just happened to be the girl he likes and wanted to possess.
I may be the only one, but I thought his obsessive nature kinda just came out of nowhere. Blake called him a mentor in the second Volume, but the writers made him an abusive ex boyfriend in Volume 5. Which I personally didn't like. I think it would have made more sense if he was trying to kill her solely because of her betrayal and not due to romantic attachment.
@@MoldyOog there were a couple of suttle hints that it was romantic. She was even almost hesitant to call Adam her mentor. He technically was, but it's understandable that she would want to start off with that he was her crush.

*"OH"* X_X
There are a couple of things I find annoying about the fight 1 Yang and Adam have Shotguns on their wrists and waist what’s stoping them from using it especially when Yang grabbed Adam’s sword and Yang could’ve shot Adam when deciding a broken sword is better 2 I can’t be the only one that thinks Blake and Yang had plot armor for this fight because Adam doesn’t even get 1 good shot in when fighting them 3 Yangs arm is not that strong I’m sorry but there’s no way her arm is strong enough to go against what I assume is the full rage of Adam
Plus I'm pretty sure they stole animations from old DMC games for Adams attacks and I wanted to die.
adam fell off a tower, took hits from blake, got floored by a motorcycle, spammed his semblance, not to mention Yang had more aura than Adam at that point..yet you're saying we're supposed to believe she couldn't withstand that attack? His aura lasted for a long fucking time if you think about it.

Plus why would Yang use a gun against a guy that billets have never had any effect against I think she made the smart decision rather than do something that has never worked.
"It's interesting Adam has the Schnee Dust Company branding, let's see where it goes."
weeeeeeeeeeeell.....................................
it ended up with Weiss not even seeing Adam... not a single time...... probably didn't even know his name, only Blake and Yang talk about him and just with each other.
Callin me creep- I'm not a Grimm.
If only he wasn’t. Seriously, it would have been more interesting if it was just a mentor against his apprentice.
Just stick to current time, so many people were confused about how Blake arrived in time for Haven & others just don’t care like i didn’t even know Cinder was a month behind Team Rwby until someone made a video about it.
gisselle4529 I have no idea. It's hard to tell time in the Wild.
In Shannon's own words: Canonical lesbians.
(Note: Yes, I know Blake would be bi)
(Note 2: Do not talk to me about the joke Yang makes to Ruby about boys in V1)
@Whiterose Petal Tale
1) I don't ship anyone in RWBY of all things.
@Whiterose Petal Tale

Wow Blind Wave actually understood Adam's character as he was a lying, backstabbing, stalking creep that only had his look and weapon to carry him... Half of the fanbase couldn't do that and got mad for nothing... Like I get it, he's cool but what he does is way less cool !
Damn only 500 views
Took you guys a while to upload this one huh?
I’m still upset that after Volume 3, we would see more of Adam & what’s the actual deal here or his backstory but he wasn’t included at all in Volume 4. Just a bit upset, even in the intro Yang falls & it’s just his glowing mask. V5 wasn’t great & V6 we didn’t get that much information. Just his face reveal.
Yang even says she looks at Blake and Weiss the same way she looks at Ruby.
hahaha well this comment didn't age well. 😅

He doesn't need to be alive in order for us to get his backstory. Could be Blake talking about it, a character short, or something else.
@@theycallmebad We aren't going to have Blake tell us about the person who pretty much ruined her life while being in the White Fang.
Lots of faunus have gone through the same things as Adam. And they didn't become manipulative, obsessive, genocidal maniacs.
Pyrrha and Adam saddest moments of RWBY
Both redheads
Pyrrha's death was sad, I was happy Adam died
Nora & Ren's relationship will still be the best in the show because it took time to develop them and it wasn't pushed down into a single Volume like Yang x Blake in my opinion.
Watch the xiao long video on bumblbee
1. "Will Neo be making an appearance in later Volumes?"
2. "Is Ozpin able to control Oscar or only speak to him on a mental level like an inner personality?
3. "Will Ruby Rose be gaining more knowledge about her silver eyes in Volume 5 or in future volumes of the show?"
By the way, let's act as if I was asking these back after Volume 4's finale.
Why would you want to ask those questions? They've all been answered already.
Also, if you were asking them after V4, the crew couldn't answer any of them (except maybe the last one) without spoiling later volumes.
@@teamcybr8375 Because my friend asked what qualified as a spoiler question and I wanted to get your opinion on them.
He was an active combatant reaching for a weapon, you don't try to detain people like that, you put their ass in the ground
@@blackvial dang man I guess you can't want to not have bloodshed in this world can you? I guess it was more or less instict.
