However, tires have very short lives and are very susceptible to potholes. I bought 3 sets of tires while I had the car ($5000). I love the GranSport model and yes it really does look good in black, but I don't want to deal with the upkeep of a black car lol. I went by the Maserati dealer in my city last week and they had a few GranLusso's in Grigio, Grigio Maratea, and Blu Passione. Then they had one GranSport in this same Nero Ribelle, but with the 21 inch titano's and the grille was black. Something about the exterior changes makes the car look really good in black for 2018 because I didnt care much at all for the black in the 2014-17 models. I def prefer the GranSport over the Lusso after seeing them in person. If I'm ever fortunate to get one, I'd be battling between Grigio Maratea and Blu Emozione.

    • @RonsRides
      @RonsRides  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Blu Emozione is an amazing color as well but yeah something about that look in black is stunning but whats the point if you cant keep it clean haha. The all black grille and 21" wheels would make it that much more amazing. I just need to see one with the carbon package so I can fall madly in love with it. Really hope you can pick one up someday!

      @RonsRides  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      First of all, congrats! You're getting an amazing and beautiful Italian machine. Second off, Im not too sure on the changes, I've also heard that they will be small. I do know that they are a couple of different paint colors and I think wheel options. Im assuming its going to be more tech if anything since Masi has been heading in that direction.

      BadaBing! Are you leasing? If so do you mind telling me how much you got it for? I’m looking to get one, but the deals I have seen don’t sound so good.

  • @carfanatic1015
    @carfanatic1015 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    The 2018 is such a spectacular car with a lot of improvements. With that said the lease prices are amazing with some left over '17s so as a Ghibli owner yourself, do you think it is worth getting the '18 over the '17 considering the amazing deals they have on the pre facelifted model? I'm in my 20s and I really want a Maserati and I also want to have the latest and greatest tech in my car as well. I currently drive a 2012 335i coupe which makes somewhere in the range of 300-330 horse power (Feels a lot faster to be honest) so i'm trying to get something faster. Do you think the 404 in the 2015-17s is enough of a power jump from the BMW where it is noticeable? Lastly, what are some other cars in the Ghibli price range that have the same charm as a ghibli does (SOUND, looks, name, 400+ horsepower). Ive been looking at the M3/M4 as well, but I really dont want another BMW. Id love to hear your feedback!

    • @gallonofpatrick
      @gallonofpatrick 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      CarFanatic101 If they have good deals on the 2018, then go for it! It’s an amazing car I really think you’ll enjoy it very much, coming from a 2012 bmw. Either or is very nice.

      @RonsRides  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks MacMen! Thats a good question, Im at 21k miles on my personal Ghibli and shes doing great but 20k a year may be a bit much for the car. I think the 18's may stand the test of time but the previous years probably arent as refined to handle that much driving annually.

      Slava Kim then get the C63, I’ve never owned a Benz (bmw owner for past 6 years). But I’ve always wanted to have a Maserati and I got one last month. All I can tell you is that I am loving it. I don’t care if I don’t have the latest technology, for example I was driving the Volvo S90 for about 2 month, and this car has all the technology you need and while it drives great as well... it doesn’t feel the same. The pleasure you get out of driving these cars is what’s worth the price.

    Even though it looks great and all I wouldn’t buy it new or used because of 1 thing DEPRECIATION Maseratis depreciate like crazy if you say oh well I’ll just buy used and save lots of money the problem is let’s say you own the car for 5 years and when you bought it it cost 55k by the time you sell it will lose less than half (or less) of it’s value so it’s not a very smart buy

    • @downforceautosport5056

      Rons Rides everything about the car. Cost for maintenance, brakes worn out less than 30k miles, oily serve car $800, too many check engine lights, and loose it’s value and it’s soft market.

    • @RonsRides

    I have always been a fan of Maserati brand just simply due to the history of the brand, and the car's amazing exhaust note. However, in recent years, I feel like Maserati is failing to keep up with the likes of BMW and Mercedes in terms of both their interior quality and performance metrics. Of course, this car has plenty of power for what it is, but just comparing this to another Italian brand like Ferrari, Enzo Ferrari once said: "We sell you the engine, and we through in the rest for free". Ironically, this makes sense with most Italian car brands because they have undoubtedly the best exhaust notes in the performance car segment but their interior quality is just simply is just not on par with their German competitors. If Maserati would invest the time to create their own unique and modern interiors this car would be perfect. Considering that this car has alot of parts sharing to keep costs down, I feel like the average person that is buying this car can spare an extra $10,000 to have a premium interior. Also if they are concerned with mass apeal. Develop a car that is specificially dedcated to competing with the 3 Series, and C Class. It would be a nice refresher to have something from Maserati in the compact luxury segment. Lastly, I also feel that with the Alfa Romeo Guila that debutted last year, hopefully Maserati adopts some of the perfomance pedigree from this brand and implements it in the next generation Ghibli. Its also ironic that the Guilia struggles with interior quality as well.

    • @RonsRides
      @RonsRides  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Being a Maserati owner and enthusiast, this is a very well written comment Dylan. I do a agree with you on a lot of your points. Masi has had its setbacks but has been moving in the right direction but has a long way to go to keep up with the Germans or get back to the prestigious brand they once were. I think the Levante Trofeo with its 590 Ferrari V8 will really start getting people excited about Maserati cars again once its out this Fall.
