I love that you do a walkthrough for everything, and not skip ahead to already chopped fruit! I have never handled rhubarb before. There’s always some special way to chop up produce and what you discard/keep, so thank you for your tutorials and being so detailed. ❤️
I plan on making this jam. I would like to add a tip about the foam. If you throw in about a tablespoon of butter when the mixture is hot, this eliminates a lot of the foam. Great recipe!
Time to go back to my childhood roots and make some homemade jam this Spring, just like my Grandma used to do.. Thanks so much for the detailed tutorial.
I love rhubarb Jam. I was born in a place were rhubarb was pretty common now I live in a hotter city and we don't have rhubarb. My aunt still makes jam and everytime she comes to visit she bring us a big jar lol we have to fight over who eats the last bits of jam
Yum looks delicious i am making this soon i never had jam before it is difficuit to find rhubarb in Singapore my local grocery stores in Singapore doesnt have it will make it without rhubarb wlll make this with few subs drooling over my samsung galaxy j4 love your recipes making me hungry Thanks Ramya
Hi! :) I think that the two methods are usually used for different types of items. I prefer this method for jams. If you want to preserve whole fruits or veggies, water bath canning works better.

You are so welcome! :) Thank you for watching!
Wholesome.

I was just going to suggest this same tip.
Why don’t they need a water bath ?

Thank you! :) It really is!
Thanks so much Tanya , lovely
This looks sooo yummy, I want some right now with a cup of coffee ☕️😋🍓🍞
Thank you 😋
My mother used to top the jam with wax to seal the jam before placing the jar lid.
That's a great tip! :)
You can also freeze mason jars. Just use wide mouth jars and leave space for product expansion.
Yes, this is a great tip!! :)
Can you please send me your recipe for peach preserve. We want to make your lavender peach cake.
Hi! :) I used store-bought peach preserves for that recipe :)
Should use a funnel when putting in jars and that would eliminate the chance of a mishap with the ladle
You can make it with just strawberries for a strawberry jam :) Enjoy!
Hello friend
I injoy your recipe
delicious and yummy 🖒🖒

Thank you so much for watching! :)
How long do you cook it?
bring the jam to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes. More details here: tatyanaseverydayfood.com/strawberry-rhubarb-jam/
Thank you
Would love to see a plum jam recipe. :)
Oh, my sister was just making plum jam last week! :)
Any jam would work essentially the same. Just use the same amount of fruit, sugar and pectin :)
Can I make rhubarb jam with frozen rhubarb
Yes! That should work well, too. Enjoy!
Yum, looks so good
Thank you! :)
Can you show how to use this sauce in a dessert?
I have this delicious 'Strawberry Rhubarb Cake' I like to use it for: tatyanaseverydayfood.com/recipe-items/strawberry-rhubarb-cake/
This video worked good
Glad it helped! :)
It's been really long since I had jam so I'm glad you made this recipe. Can't wait to try this :)
Same here! Decided it would be the perfect time with rhubarb in season. Enjoy!! :)
Hi. I’m wondering does countertop canning just as good as water bath canning?
Hi! :) I think that the two methods are usually used for different types of items. I prefer this method for jams. If you want to preserve whole fruits or veggies, water bath canning works better.
Do you thaw frozen rhubarb before making the jam?
I would thaw it beforehand, that way everything cooks evenly. Enjoy! :)
Lovely&yum
Thank you! :)
Can I have your site for all jams
Hi Kim! This is the only jam recipe I have: tatyanaseverydayfood.com/strawberry-rhubarb-jam/
Enjoy!
After canning how long do they last
If properly canned, they will last for several years. Just keep the jam stored in the pantry, away from direct sunlight and heat
Could you thicken the jam w/a cornstarch slurry instead of the pectin?
Only if you are freezing or refrigerating the jam, not for canning :)
TatyanasEverydayFood great!! 😊
I got a question if I do the conventional way, How long they last in the storage?!
Freezer jam can stand in the freezer for up to a year. In the refrigerator max of 2 weeks :)
Doing a quick swirl of boiling water doesn't sterilize. You need to boil or steam those for 10 minutes.
True. Also true....this step is unnecessary bcs it all occurs during the boiling process.
I'll try this recipe tomorrow because I asked everyone to help me find rhubarb and now I have way more than I need for pie
Perfect! :) This jam is so delicious! Enjoy!
Can I use my baby bottle warmer to sterilize the jar
Hmm, I'm not sure! Does it have a sterilize setting?
@@TatyanasEverydayFood oops I meant my bottle sterilizer
I use a sache of lemon zest in lieu of pectin.
How would you make this with frozen rhubarb?
This would work great with frozen rhubarb, too. I would let the rhubarb thaw out first, so that it cooks evenly.
What gorgeous hair!! Sorry, yea, the jam looks great too :)
Thank you!! :)
How about strawberry rubarb pie?
That sounds so delicious! :)
My mom used to make it. It was yummy!
Like 15👍👍👍🤤🤤🤤
Thank you 😋
is it just me who lose focus on the recipe just by looking at your beautiful hair ?haha need to watch it again
😊 thank you!
HI GOOD VIDEO
Hey, thanks! :)
🤤🤤🤤🤤 😅
Waaaaay to much sugar
Можно с переводом?
Dose anyone notice she uses a mini stove, when she has a regular stove in the background! Lol
Yes... Easier to film so you can see what I'm making
Use a canning funnel and save yourself the hassle.
Rhubarb is not a fruit.
Why the fuck would you sterilize your jars LIKE THAT Lol!!! Seems like the least efficient and safe way.
