I just can't believe how clean that body is . Going to come up real nice... Yes been there before , you're going well.... Undercarriage will look awesome with that built C4 in there :)
Thanks so much Greg! She definitely is a super clean body - I can't believe how lucky I got with this one! Don't think I'd find another just like it at a guess? I can't wait to be putting in the C4! You know the colour scheme, so can probably picture it already 👍 Thanks again mate, have a great week and see you on the next one! 😎👌
Love the video, great progress and looking forward to seeing some more content. I have an XE Falcon that I want to do the same to the underbody, so you've given me some inspiration and great tips - you explain things really clearly. Keep up the great work. 👍
Thanks Michael! I'm super happy to hear I've given you some inspiration to get your XE falcon under body sorted! I'm sure you'll make it look great 👌 See you on the next one mate 😎🤙
Great video's of the XT build, hard dirty work for you, many hours under the car. I take my hat of to you. I have 99% bare metal and metal readied then POR15 the underside of my XY, that was hard enough on a rotisserie. I will bed liner areas of the underside and wheel wells when the weather cools down. Great work man, you are getting it done 👍
Thanks heaps Warren! Sounds like you're up to similar work with your XY. I'm still deciding on either bed liner (raptor) or satin black 2k. Leaning towards the raptor! Appreciate the nice words, see you on the next one 😎🤙
@warrenbrown5621 well done mate, you've got the tee-shirt! 😎🤙 Please flick me an email and we'll work out the details - rob@restohub.au Thanks again for your awesome feedback, and following along.
Thanks legend! The body is so sweet.. the deeper I dig, the better it gets. Of course there are some little things to repair, but she's solid in every way. You and me both - I'm hanging to get past this stage, it's a filthy, stinky and hard job 😂 it will be nice to see it in colour (even the red epoxy will be a sea change 👌). Thanks again mate, cya on the next one! 😎🤙
Wonder where have a seen this before ahh yes thats right on my bloody XD 😂😂 some of my methods used were different but the end result much the same.. it definitely is one of the jobs you begin to wonder when its going to end haha. Very nicely done loving the build keep'em coming mate 👌😎
Thanks Paul! Yes, definitely have wondered when it will end, on more than one occasion. Probably halfway there now, and no more paint stripper thankfully! Thanks again 🤙😎
The only negative is that horrible background audio anyway enjoy your videos these cars were so well made classic not plastic the body deadeners improved now too not that nasty stuff back in the 80s when i was restoring an XT i enjoy your commitment and can't wait till you start on the bodywork the doors shut so nice not like the last model fords. Have you mentioned what colour you wish to spray it anyway appreciate it thank you
Thanks for the feedback Russel. Will have a think about the music 👍 Yes agree, the old deadeners are rubbish compared to the new 2k varieties. Even some of the 1k ones are pretty good - Würth have a good one from memory. Colour will be the original blue. It's a two tone from factory, blue and white roof. Blue is called Sapphire Blue from memory. I'm most likely going to be going the blue all over and deleting the white roof. Thanks for stopping in, cya on the next one legend 🤙😎

For a car that’s nearly 60 the wheel arches look very good really 👍👍
Yeah they look great David! Apart from the small split on the passenger side, they are 10/10!
Thanks for stopping in, see you on the next one 🤙😎
I love the underbody work mate. Nice trick cleaning the inner gaurds . I will be using that in the future
Thanks mate, appreciate the feedback. Definitely use the approach, great way to do the job 🤙😎
