This was the moment Mustafa lost the crown. Suleiman knew Mustafa was too powerful and jeopardized his throne. Everything else Hurrem did was just icing on top.
Actually in his letters somewhere sulaimon wrote that the thought of giving his kingdom to Mustafa left him in a cold terrified sweat. This Mustafa in here was a good guy but the real one I think was probably not.

This is very much the kind of strong message that needed to be enforced at such a time towards both the Janissaries and the princes given the culture of the Ottoman Empire. It was under these precise circumstances that Suleiman's father had overthrown his grandfather with the aid of the Janissaries, so this was very much a message to anyone who might dare to repeat that who was still in charge.

Suleiman listened to mihrimah sultan, Mustafa and Hürrem sultan. Of all 3 , he kept the words of one the most: Hürrem sultan. 3:41 you can see that he valued her words more than everyone's else. Mihrimah sultan and Hürrem sultan opened Suleiman's eyes on Mustafa.
Thank you for answering this. It was also my question, Initially I thought it was a Qu’ran also. But no matter how many times I’ve watched this scene, I couldn’t figure it out! I would think they wouldn’t cover their Qu’ran, in a hole, in the ground, covered with dirt! I would think that would be blasphemous. But now I understand it was Ibrahim’s diary. And the narration of it should’ve given me that clue. Thank you!

What seven seas and three continents is he about? Clearly this turkey drama series are made by some turkish nationalists. During his role turkey was controlling just a part of balkans and anatolia. It will take many more years after him ro conquer arabian tribes and mameluk alaves in egypt to take that part of africa. During the reign of Suleiman, the Ottomans were at their best and dominated North Africa, from Egypt to Tunisia, Anatolia, Greece, Hungary for the most part, the Balkans, and Crimea, part of Persian Gulf and Mesopotamia, that is why they are the 3 continents of his Empire. I believe the 7 seas are black, Adriatic, Marmara, Ionian, Aegean, red, Mediterranean.
Its not only about Turks. It's about Muslims. Two times Muslims conquered half of the world. 1. During Hazrat Umar (R)'s reign and 2. During Sultan Suleiman's reign. Though Suleiman is nothing compared to Hazrat Umar (R) , still he is one of the most memorable and best emperors in Muslim world.
