you aren't kidding, I have def checked out more bands lately because of Nik and Tank, I'm feeling like heavy music is becoming more mainstream, which is great.
Plot was incredible on the Beartooth tour. Cool to hear Landon's approach to songwriting/producing. It's been dope to have the steady release of singles coming, I hope they're able to continue doing that.
The plot in you is the only band where I absolutely love everyone of their songs. I’ve never found another band like that. Plus Landon’s solo stuff. I love All of it.
When I heard Happiness In Self Destruction back in 2015, I didn't hought Landon would become such a huge part of the scene. He truly is an artists who really pushes the scene forward, and now I feel this is HISD, this album has such a unique found that I never found back anywhere else. So happy to hear landon talk, such a talented guy
I heard they weren't doing so well when that album came out and were thinking of breaking up. Dispose really made them blow up. Even though I'm more of a fan of Happiness In Self Destruction era, I'm happy to see them do so well.
I agree. Writing an album is so much effort... so exhausting. But I do love the idea of a concept across an entire album and having 1 cohesive piece of art.
I've found a whole new side in my music taste after randomly tapping on a Nik Noc video on YT recommendations, and again I found a new great band that I've never heard of.
Loved PLOT for years, Landon has helped me get over a lot DISPOSE is my top 50 of all time, the thing that separates Landon's work from everyone else is he's always so real with his songs, Happiness In Self Destruction is my top 10 albums for that very reason.....though I dont think its a very good idea to listen to it these days lol its a different kind of heavy.
Until I Wake is a great band and they have kept this man BUSY! I can’t wait to hear what they’ve done together. Landon is an absolute powerhouse/force to he reckoned with especially considering his work ethic and checking out any interview with him is always a treat/a must 🖤 Literally everyone i know recognizes him as a major figure in the industry that’s paving ways and inspiring new artists. His art is ART.
Dude I totally agree with Landon on if a song is gonna be on the lighter side, don’t just throw a random breakdown in there, wage war has been guilty of this twice, once with the song Youngblood and the other with the song gravity, Youngblood especially cuz I felt like that chunky ass breakdown after the first chorus really took away from the sentiment of the songs lyrics
Why am I so addicted to this interviews? Others channels do it but feels a bit... boring? to me (idk why).... but these from Nik are special, it makes me want to watch it until the end
Now I know why I tire out so much when I try to imitate his sound and performances. We have a similar range and I was wondering about this, knowing that he goes balls-first-all-out gives me reassurance that I'm not doing anything wrong, he is, on purpose lol
29:50 I also discovered Caroline Polachek a few months ago, and her album 'Desire, I Want to Turn Into You ' is so good. Every song is great. It's kinda poppy, but there's an outsider component thrown in the mix as well. It's really hard to describe. She did a Tiny Desk performance that is also amazing. And she did a performance of her single 'Dang' on the Stephen Colbert youtube channel that is a must-see.
they talk about "baddy core" and then 3 months later The Plot In You drops Been Here Before... tell me the last minute and 45 secs doesn't make that a baddy core song
I appreciate him doing things the way it works for his art. That being said, my favorite way to listen to music is albums from beginning to end. I’m such an album person because a large body of work like that can convey a lot more than a single song in most cases. Hoping that once they release a bunch of singles they can make an album too 😭
this hurts me being a huge album consumer and landon being my favourite vocalist. i love all the music he does but id prefer to have a day with 12 songs instead of one every 3 months
Been with TPIY since "Miscarriage"... A long time. Had the pleasure of helping the road crew set up at Aftershock in Merriam, KS. After their set, I went to chill at the bar and had the pleasure of meeting Landon. He was as chill as a human can be, after a set that was raw and emotional af. I'll always be down for whatever LT is doing.
Someone needs to send the first six mins of the video to Mr. Oliver Sykes its time to go all in none of this half and half bullshit respectfully Oli you absolute legend. 😉
I've been listening to The Plot in You since off and on since 2015 and finally heard "Don't Look Away". When I tell you I was blown away! Omg, the vocals, the music! From the beginning, I had a feeling they would make it big. It's well deserved. My only wish was to have listened to more sooner rather then later but so glad I get to be here now :)
I’m glad he said that. I can’t listen to an album straight through. They’re have only been a couple. Phoenix Morning, of machines. And As daylight dies KSE.
Funnily enough , I separately found Landon Tewers solo stuff and the plot in you, around the same time. And I had no idea that “Landon” was the frontman for “The Plot.” The first Landon song I fell in love with was “Ma and Pa.” It wasn’t until 2016, when I got around to researching the band that I connected the dots.
20:00 Pretty damn cool hearing Landon talking about some Aussie heavyweights in Diamond Construct, Alpha Wolf and Polaris… Someone make that tour happen with The Plot In You 🙏
Nik has become the number 1 promoter of heavy music bands, love to see it
you aren't kidding, I have def checked out more bands lately because of Nik and Tank, I'm feeling like heavy music is becoming more mainstream, which is great.
Really????
@@chriswood3110 imagine not even looking up bands because of two content creator's and just finding it on apple music or Spotify lol

@@ufmamba15deftones horny music. Basically limousine by bring me the horizon.
Man what a chill dude, my favourite vocalist hands down.
Plot is one of the few bands that can make a pop-rock song that FUUUUUUCKS then turn around and make a heavy song that also FUUUUUUKS
Great interview. Landon is such a down to earth and kind guy.
Plot was incredible on the Beartooth tour. Cool to hear Landon's approach to songwriting/producing. It's been dope to have the steady release of singles coming, I hope they're able to continue doing that.
Landon is literally the GOAT, never misses a fucking beat 🔥🔥🔥 interview

Plot’s pre-baddiecore. They were writing it for Dispose and Swan Songs. TikTok just hadn’t gotten to the level of degeneracy yet.
Guys whos gonna tell him off on “Raggaetron”
I’d love to hear Landon cover Sleep Token - Vore. That would be an interesting cover in my opinion.
YES
I agree. Writing an album is so much effort... so exhausting. But I do love the idea of a concept across an entire album and having 1 cohesive piece of art.
Landon seems like the sickest dude ever to just be homies with
Rigged by plot in you is definitely baddiecore
I've found a whole new side in my music taste after randomly tapping on a Nik Noc video on YT recommendations, and again I found a new great band that I've never heard of.
I hope your TPIY journey has been as amazing as it was for the rest of us. Happy you’ve found them.

She thinks of me by Landon is baddiecore haha
WHAT A NICE DUDE!!! Love him! Wish him and the band all the best in the future!

I saw them live in st Pete a few months ago when they opened for Beartooth. Amazingggggg. Forgotten and Left Behind were so freaking good
That was my first ever show at Jannus. Life changing experience 😮💨
And they played Troll!
dude. Tommy Cash is from Estonia 🙄
Landon is just the fucking sweetest. I kissed him after a show in 2019 and havent washed my lips since
Now I know why I tire out so much when I try to imitate his sound and performances. We have a similar range and I was wondering about this, knowing that he goes balls-first-all-out gives me reassurance that I'm not doing anything wrong, he is, on purpose lol
Nik please do a Aaron Matts Interview! The Dude is cool as fuck.
Btw did you see his new Headtattoo?!😱 It's fucking insane!
I’ve been a fan of Landon since he was in Before Their Eyes. I remember Plot’s first EP Wife Beater. Such a chill dude and never misses! Mad props!
LMFAO HIM SINGING THE ONE YOU LOVED WRONG ive seen tpiy live a couple times and i swear I'd think i just knew the lyrics wrong when that song played
please bring landon back....legit my fav artist
I love The Plot In You so much
Landon, I'm so glad you went back to writing heavy stuff again.
I love Landon

Never clicked on an interview so fast. Excited to watch!
Same!!
Hands down my favorite vocalist in the scene. Anything he touches is golden.
Been a fan of Landon for 10 years. 🤘🏼
Landon is such an inspiration

NIK! DOES LANDON THROW CUBE???? YOU FORGOT TO ASK 😭
I love this way of either really heavy or super chill.. i never knew what i really liked about the plot in you.. it's exactly this
Someone needs to send the first six mins of the video to Mr. Oliver Sykes its time to go all in none of this half and half bullshit respectfully Oli you absolute legend. 😉
me personally i love heavy mixed with cleans and choruses, they just mix so well to me
Y'all talking about playing Fortnite with Drake. I just wanna play Diablo 4 with Tom Barber lol
Love Landon and everything he’s done ❤

I like their mix alot
Landon would be such a good fit for linkin park
amazing interview.
Until I wakes self titled ep is great. Cool that Landon is helping with their next work
Enjoyed this interview so much! Been listening to TPIY since I saw them open for Beartooth. They were so awesome live!

I miss Landon’s hair.
Love these always.

Landon is not. A busy “guy”. He’s a damn god. lol thanks for this interview yall!
ive been WAITING for this
Ого Егор ерушин у ника на канале , наконец-то
Landon commits to making every song great in its entirety vs checking all the boxes in one song giving you only great moments in a track.
Right?!
As an over analytical music nerd, It's really interesting to hear you guys talk about production and what thoughts that goes in to it!
The Plop and Poop

Much love from the Goons.
Nice!
Holy shit if TPIY makes a baddiecore track....let's gooooo
