I'm so glad you took the chance on a TH-cam recommended and watched. I love wrangling bees and relocating them to our bee yards where they spend the rest of their days, and just as much, I love sharing those experiences through my videos. I post a new video every Friday on some aspect of bee wrangling, and I look forward to hearing from you again. Thanks for watching this one. God's peace Jacob. Mr. Ed
I really, really enjoyed that final segment, where you let the bees finish cleaning the remaining honey. Man of God, delighting in the behavior of His other creatures. Your face shining in joy and delight(and love).
I have to say, Preston did a fantastic job capturing my spirit on video. I am going to frame the picture it depicts me so well. Thanks for noticing and for watching. God's peace Robert. Mr. Ed
"I really, really enjoyed that final segment, where you let the bees finish cleaning the remaining honey." The bees are probably more interested in the remaining wax.
We only ran six or so hives on the ranch, but I can't think of a higher calling than to be a conscientious bee wrangler. Those wee guys/gals sure do work and produce a most righteous product. As a younker, we always had a comb of honey on the table and never had a problem with allergies. Years later I went back during baling season and darned near died from 'hay fever'. Never knew I had it when I had a daily dose of our clover honey. Without it for years, I paid a high price. I'm not a religious man, but what you compassionate professional bee keepers do makes me rather contrite when I think of how many of us mere mortals take the pollinators for granted. Thanks for what you all do.
Your kind words are greatly appreciated, thank you for them and your compassion towards bees and the good folks that shepard them. I hope you will take the time to check out more of my bee wrangling adventures and let me know what you think of them as well. By the way, I post a new video every Friday. Thanks so much for watching and leaving a great comment. God's peace brother. Mr.Ed
That is so great to hear your interest in bees has now been tweaked. I post be rescue videos to show just how important bees are to our very survival, and why we should not just kill them out of ignorance. I have been rescuing bees from being needlessly destroyed for over 9 years now, and hope to continue to do so for many more years to come. Thanks for watching, and I hope you will check out more of my bee wrangling/ bee rescues adventures and let me know what you think of them. By the way, I post a new video every Friday morning, and I look forward to hearing from you again soon. God's peace. Mr. Ed
@@SMFJose bees love to work, it’s all they do. Whether it be in a wild environment or in a specialized environment they will keep working. That’s where the term busy bee comes from. Bees make honey, a ton of it if they are allowed to expand, and they will forever until another creature comes along to stop em.
I finally found an apiery in California. My son lives in San Bernardino county. Took me to a creek out there and saw the gives. Can't wait to go out there. We couldn't then because we had his kids with us. I'm so excited. Thanks to you.
I have a feeling you are going to become a bee keeper very soon, at least I hope so. Way to go, keep me posted on what happens. God's peace Samantha. Mr. Ed
@@JeffHorchoff how’s your extractor holding up? I purchased one this year and seem to keep having a problem with the bottom motor. After running for a few minutes it shuts down. Gets extremely hot. Seems as if the auger is getting stuck. Mann Lake has been helpful but hasn’t solved my issue yet. Thanks for any input.

24:04 This is one happy, fulfilled man, right there. Congratulations on this very successful season. That's a long way since those floods, 4 years ago. As you write, God has blessed your bee-yards abundantly. But, well, God tends to bless the persevering and the hard working 😊
I will admit, the picture does capture my spirit. It was my favorite shot in the entire video Thank you for your kind words and for watching. God's peace Francois. Mr. Ed

Just amazing how these guys don't need to cover themselves up and worry about bee stings. Always wanted to be a bee keeper and watching this video wants me to do it even more.

Fascinating, I love honey! I grew up eating honey from the island of Kalymnos in Greece, where my dad is from. It is very different from our American honey! There is a bee keeper who lives 1.3 miles from me as the crow flies, and every May her bees come to my house by the thousands to feast on my Cherry Laurel blossoms! I love it!
You have some great stories, thanks for sharing them. Keep things blooming so the bees can keep on making honey for us and them. Mr Ed, you bring such joy with each video! This part of the year is definitely my favorite: watching you and your friends harvest that liquid gold is such a delight. I'll keep on watchin' for sure!
I love sharing my happiness as well as my bee wrangling adventures, thank you for taking the time to follow along Lesli. The honey processing is always a good time and an opportunity to share a bunch of laughs and fun with fellow bee keepers. Until the next time, God's peace. Mr. Ed
Hello Jeff, wow so much honey and a record amount to you have had a really great season your bees have been so busy Jeff and a great bunch of good folks all getting stuck in, a wonderful day had by all I bet , wow what a harvest, how many hives do you have Jeff and you honey shed is amazing. Thank you Jeff fantastic vlog, god bless Jeff hoping your having a good day. I also watch mike barry to his videos are fantastic mike has a whole lot of knowledge I love watching the both of you.
Mike and I have been friend for over 10 years and done a lot of bee wrangling together, and it's always a good time when we hang out. We met at a local bee club and began sharing info between us right away, and the friendship grew from there. We do like to pick on each other just like me and the Dirt Rooster do. Of course Mike knows the Rooster pretty well too. It's almost funny how bee wranglers seem to find each other and then become friends. Always a pleasure hearing from you, thanks for watching. I'm a big fan of bees and bee keepers my self Joey, with out them, the world would be in a big heap of trouble. I hope you had a great 4th, I spent mine wrangling bees. get ready for that video. God's peace brother. Mr. Ed
My Grandpa had a Walter T Kelly 33 frame extractor and a basket style Maxant 4 frame extractor. A dadant knife type double sided uncapping unit. He also had 150 colonies of bees, and then the government subsidy stopped... he wasn’t happy about it. He passed away soon after that and I ended up with the stuff. I remember all the hard work of bee keeping. Great Videos Mr. Ed!
So glad you took the chance and watched. I've been making videos since 2011 and have over 400 more of them if you are curious to watch any more. If you do, please leave a comment, I'd really like to know what you thought. I hope to hear from you again, God's peace Beven. Mr. Ed

This takes me back to when I was a kid! My granddad kept honey bees, part as a hobby and part for his apple trees, berries and other things in his vegetable garden. When it was time to harvest the honey, it like this video, was all hands on deck. I was always so proud to see his label on the jars in local grocery stores. He also seeded his very large lawn with white clover. It only took me one time to learn not to run through the grass bare-footed😎 Thanks for such a great video. People need to understand why honey costs a bit of cash and the work it takes to keep healthy hives and harvest the honey.
What a great story about your grand father, thanks so much for sharing it and for taking the time to watch my video. By the way, I post a new video every Friday morning, and I look forward to hearing from you again soon. God's peace Kathy. Mr. Ed

Hello there Mr Ed.just a suggestion . I would have a temporary ramp made to go between the uncapper and the extractor so you are not dripping so much honey on the floor.thanks for your videos I enjoy watching.

I love cutouts, but honey processing is my favorite! I never get tired of watching. I’m so happy you added the back porch feeding frenzy, it’s always the perfect ending. Once again I am overwhelmed by these small creations of the Lord. They give us so much, and they only ask for fresh flowers, and enough nectar, pollen, and honey to keep them going. I hope your videos encourage people to not be afraid of these creatures, and the importance of maintaining a healthy variety of blooming trees, bushes, plants, etc...so that we keep honey bee colonies strong and thriving. Without bees our own food cycle would collapse. They are critical to our continued survival. I know I’m “preaching to the choir,” but it is channels like yours, dirt rooster, and JP that help to educate, and as a former educator myself, I can’t help but start to pontificate on the subject. 😊 What a wonderful harvest! God bless you all! 🐝🐝🐝

Great harvest Jeff. Love watching. Wish I could have helped. Is there a special way you store the frames that had brood? I thought leaving them out in the open with light on them was all that was necessary to discourage moths. Thanks.
The frames that have brood on them are stored inside of the honey house. I think that even if they were exposed to light, moths would still get into them, but inside the honey house they do perfect. I'm getting ready to make the video showing what I do with all the honey supers, stay tuned for that. God's peace Joe. Mr. Ed

I love your set up everything is so neat and tidy clean. I wont ever have anything that big but will eventually have a nice area to extract. I dragged my hubby over to show him your hive box dollies. Hes a welder so i will get him to make me a couple of them. Always enjoy your videos and i will for sure keep on watching. Cheers
95%, my guess, of bee keeper are hobbyists, and simply want to stay that way, and they would have no need for the equipment I use, but I like sharing my experience, even though it's not commercial, just to show there are ways of extracting honey that don't rely on slower methods. However, if you go up a few notches and look at the really big guys do it, my way compared to theirs is primitive. I guess it's all perspective. If you wanted to spare your hubby the time spent making you some dollies and do something else for you, you can purchase these dollies from Harbor Freight very reasonably. Thanks for watching. God's peace Lyn. Mr. Ed
You sure make beekeeping look fun! It is obvious that it is also a lot of work. But your attitude and enthusiasm for the bees and the honey are contagious! I am hoping to start with a hive or two this year. I need to take a few classes and learn the basics first. Fortunately, there is a gentleman in my area who teaches beekeeping, and he has the same positive attitude that you do. So, it should be fun, hard work. But the bees work harder! :-)
My favorite of what you do is the bee wrangling in the wild. All the challenges of bringing home new bees to the Abbey. The process of extracting all that yummy honey though..... is truly a sweet experience, to watch. Great video Mr. Ed. Keep on making'em.

@@JeffHorchoff And I don't know if that is right, then bees are always working... Why?
@@SMFJose bees love to work, it’s all they do. Whether it be in a wild environment or in a specialized environment they will keep working. That’s where the term busy bee comes from. Bees make honey, a ton of it if they are allowed to expand, and they will forever until another creature comes along to stop em.

I was thinking the same thing a tray between the extractor an the cap tank draining back to the cap tank...less mess an more profit 👍
I was thinking the same thing. That and a sump tank to filter out all of the wax before the honey gets barreled.
Rest assured, by the next harvest there will bee some thing in place to catch all the honey that is being dropped, such a waste. Thanks for your suggestion and for watching. God's peace.
Mr. Ed
That’s a slick setup and operation you have there!! Maybe one day I’ll BEE up to that. Love your videos. God bless brother!!
It's been a long 8 years building up to this point, but God has blessed our efforts. I hope you get there as well. Thank you for your blessings and for watching. God's peace brother.
Mr. Ed
I would have loved to have been in that honey extraction room. I could have cleaned up the spills (that I spilled of course) right into my own little bowl. The fruit of the bees labors. God bless the bees and the guys who help them feed us!
And I would have happily given you the chance to collect as much as your bowl would hold. Thank you for your continued blessings and kind words JJ, they are always greatly appreciated. God's peace.
Mr. Ed
@@JeffHorchoff God's peace to you also. Bless the bees for they toil hard so we can enjoy their rewards.
your enthusiasm for the bees and the process is so addicting. Bless you and the Bees!
I am simply struck with awe and wonder at the magnificence of the honey bee. Thank you for your blessing and for watching. I hope you will check out more of my bee wrangling/ bee rescues adventures and let me know what you think of them. By the way, I post a new video every Friday morning, and I look forward to hearing from you again soon. God's peace Anna.

His extremely happy energy makes me so excited cause when he’s that excited it’s gonna be good
Whenever I'm wrangling, I'm a happy camper. Thanks for your kind words and for watching. God's peace Ryan.
Mr. Ed
That is a slick operation you have there.
Thank you so much, it's been an on going build up for 7 years now, and we are almost there. Still a bit more tweaking in areas, but really close. Thanks for watching. God's peace.
Mr. Ed
When I need a spokesperson, I'm going to ask you to do the job. Great comment Diane, thank you for that and for watching. Until the next one, God's peace.
Mr. Ed
Awesome video. Great team of folks to help process all of the honey. Love the back porch feeding frenzy and the look on your face is priceless. The bumblebee lapping up the honey was a sight to see.
Take care. Stay safe & stay well. God bless.
In just a few words, you summed up the video beautifully hitting on all the high points. Thank you for your blessings, concern, and for watching as well. Stay safe yourself, God's peace Rose Mary.
Mr. Ed
I love your happy demeanor and eagerness to teach and share bee keeping. Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much for your kind words and for taking the time to write them, they are greatly appreciated. I'll keep making videos as long as folks like yourself will watch. God's peace Linda.
Mr. Ed
i like seeing how happy these people are
The occasion of processing all that honey does lend itself to a bit of happiness, but I like to think that the joy in these folks is always present. Thanks for watching. God's peace Jerome.

Jeff Horchoff Bees Just out of curiosity where does the bees go while this is happening?
Jeff, I used to go to an abby in Kentucky when I lived up there and when I retire in 4 years, I would like to move back to Livingston parish. If I do because of the way you are so happy all the time, I'd like to volunteer then.
I also want to bless you and your mother, who you shared her birthday earlier this year. I pray that our heavenly father will bless you both, Amen
Thank you very much for your blessings to me and mom, it is greatly appreciated. You would bee more than welcome to help volunteer in the future. Thank you for your kind words and for watching. God's peace Malcom.
Mr. Ed
Thank you for these videos. I've always wondered what I'd do later when a little bit older, I'll be seriously considering bee keeping! Much love from The Netherlands.
I think that would bee a wonderful choice and I'll keep on making videos so you can keep on learning. Thanks so much for taking the time to watch my wrangling adventures. Until the next one, God's peace.
Mr. Ed
The last few minutes of this video are especially fabulous. Thank you for sharing!
For me, as cool as the processing the honey was, walking in the bees is what I'll remember. Thanks for watching, God's peace Johanna.
Mr. Ed
I never saw a big blue bee feeding station before ! It reminds me of our chicken feeder - it is circular too, but it's made of galvanized metal.
All feeder work under the same principal, put food in and have opens that allow it to be consumed, this one happens to be for bees, and it works really well. Thanks for watching. God's peace.
Mr. Ed
It's 03:15 in Sweden and instead of trying to sleep here I am watching this interesting and enthusiastic person. Greetings and best regards
What an honor that you would chose to watch my video rather than sleep, thank you for that! In case you did not know, I post a new video every Friday, and I certainly hope you will check it out or more of the 400 videos I have already posted. I'm looking forward to hearing from you again, but I truly would rather you get your needed sleep. God's peace Hector.

@@JeffHorchoff Good afternoon from Sweden! 😃
Thank you for the reply Mr Ed!
I have no clue how I stumbled across you but I am most delighted to have done so.
I'll be looking out for your new videos and rumage around the older ones.
Keep up the great work and hopefully we'll all learn something.
Blessings to you and your family
Always amazed at your enthusiasm and love of the bees. My grandson and I love watching your videos. Ive tried to explain how the bees turn pollen into honey, but hes still puzzled. But says thats what God made them to do. He is 5. God Bless.
How easy it is to see the hand of God in children, their simplicity is one us adults try so hard to recapture. Thank you for your blessing, and sharing my videos with your grandson. God's peace.

Hey Mr. Ed! Matthew Shealey here from Lexington, SC. I know you are a busy man, but just wanted to take a moment to tell you how much our family enjoys watching your youtube videos. My wife lights up everytime she hears your voice and sees your smile. The kids enjoy watching the process and ask if we could visit the abbey to help you and the gang with the honey harvest sometime.
Just wanted you to know how much we all love your content. Your wonderful personality & zest for life is infectious. We trust this finds you well and are thankful to have you as a new addition to our lives. God Bless & All the Best to you! Today & Forever. The Shealey Family... Matthew, Rebecca, Braelyn & Bernard.
First, thank you for your blessing, receiving them is the best perk for having a TH-cam channel. Second, thank you so much for sharing my adventures with your family, you honor me with your trust. I'd welcome all of you to the abbey if you ever make it down here, and I hope to meet you all one day. Thanks for your kind words and for watching. God's peace Shealey Family.

"Hello mr. Ed here" other than learning about the bees that has to be my favorite part of the video!!
It would not bee a Mr. Ed video without that intro. Thanks for watching. God's peace Joey.

Agee me too
Me too! I didn’t have much interest in Bee and honey, but Mr. Ed’s happy greeting always make me smile, and I get to learn more about bee keeping and all the related stuff. Bless the man!

Wonderful "behind the scenes" video of the work involved in collecting the honey. LOVED the idea of running water on the floor! Makes cleanup a lot easier and manageable. Thanks for the tip!!
Glad you liked the video and happy to pass along an idea that really works well. Thanks for watching. God's peace David.
Mr. Ed
Bees really are such a beautiful thing. It's been a tough year here in Ireland getting queens successfully mated with more than usual wet weather. Congrats Jeff and folks with all the hard work both beekeeping and video editing. Appreciate the time it takes to do and share.
With so many things stacked against bees....and bee keepers, it's a miracle they are both still around, I'm glad God is for us. Thank you so much for your kind words and all the time you spend watching my wrangling adventures. Keep up your good work, God's peace Alvin.
Mr. Ed
LOL. Good ending with the whole gang. When you all pulled out the boxes for bee cleaning it shows how many boxes you did. Wow! And the sound was amazing at the end.
The whole day was a blast, but the ending with all the bees will always be my favorite, it was just so cool. Thanks for watching. God's peace Sandra.
Mr. Ed
Ending brought a big smile to my face. Thank You for providing content that i never get sick of watching. I would love to know how to get some of that honey. I live in ohio. Let me know.... Oh and ill keep on watchin!
I loved the ending of the video, and the video showing me with the bees flying and me smiling caught my essence perfectly. I'm going to frame that picture and put it in my office. The honey will be ready for purchase in about 3 weeks. By then, it should be bottled and labeled. Get in touch with me at oscelata@gmail.com and it can bee arranged. Thanks for watching. God's peace Meagan.

13:46 - Was this clip filmed at--wait for it--48 FRAMES PER SECOND? Lol #dadjoke
Lol wow
Very good! I should have seen it coming. Thanks for watching. God's peace Mark.
Mr. Ed
Haha only a beekeeper would catch that 48 frames per second..
Yes this is what our central Florida operations will be like all family and friends
WOW Mr. Ed pretty fascinating stuff. Really impressive to watch! Keep up the amazing work cause I love seeing your progress. God Bless
It's always a pleasure to share all my bee wrangling adventures, and I'm delighted whenever I hear how folks love seeing it. thank you so much for doing that for me, your gift is greatly appreciated. God's peace Jake.

how long will it take the abbey to sell that much honey?
I'm hoping it will last all year, but we shall see. Thanks for watching. God's peace Dan.

Mr. Ed
I really enjoyed the music. Having this video on while wiring up frames just listening to commentary and the music was relaxing

I love watching the process of moving all those bees’ hard work turn into glorious barrels of honey for us to enjoy 🤤
I have to admit, so am I which is one of the reasons I share the experience. Thanks for watching. God's peace Patrick.
Mr.
Mr. Ed
@@JeffHorchoff thanks for the info.
"No doubt, removals are my favorite wrangling activities, but it also includes wax, honey, building equipment, and on and on. Bottom line, I'm a happy bee wrangler who loves sharing the ALL the experiences of bee keeping. Thanks for watching. God's peace brother.

Watching all the honey flowing and how much wax was produced made my heart smile. God designed the little bees... so amazing.

I hate this moment because this is the beginning of bee robbery...later in summer, the stronger bee populations would attack weaker ones.
