Nice review. Would you consider making a video on the Wilson Blade 100 V9? That one seems like a really good all-around racket that is accessible to many types of players.
Yes, I do plan on doing a review for the Wilson Blade 100 V9. Right now I have 3 other racquets that I am play-testing to make a review on first. I could probably sneak the Blade 100 V9 into my rotation after those 3
Thank you very much for your very helpful video. I currently play with dunlop cx200 newest version. What are in your opinion the biggest differences between these two beauties? When i play an oppent within my range i have more manuvribality, but when i play a higher ranked or big hittet my dunlop cx 200 starts to flatter a bit and i loose control ans power :-/ what do you think about? Thx you in advance :)
I personally have not found anything extremely off spec from Wilson when it comes to the V9 Blade but I am not sure. If you don't want to worry about specs being off too much then I would just stick with Yonex. You could also see if the place you would purchase the Blade from has a matching service to make sure the Blade is where you want it to be
How does serving with the blade compare to the radical mp? I just demoed the radical mp and really liked serving with it, but everything else I wasn't crazy about. Unfortunately, where I'm at wilson racquets aren't available for demoing.
With serving, the Blade in my opinion is going to have a bit more power and access to spin compared to the Radical MP. The Radical MP I would say is going to have a little bit more accuracy/feel compared to the Blade as a whole. Overall though, I would say from ground strokes to serve, I feel the Blade is more stable and would help you more than the Radical MP
@@brodytaylor2020 Just in case it was keeping you up at night, I got the blade and played 2 sets with it today for the first time. I'm very happy with it! All shots feel good. Serves were just a tiny bit easier to hit with the pure strike 100 and the radical mp, but I'm sure that once I get used to the blade in a week or two I won't be complaining about it.
Would you say the Blade 98 has longer dwell time than the Head Radical rather than more feedback? While crisp, I thought the Radical provided more feedback than the Blade 98 v8. That was my experience at least.
I can see how the Radical would provide more feedback since I think the beam is thicker on the Blades. For me I think dwell time is about the same but it may have also been the string that I had in the Blade I was testing. What string did you have in the Radical?
Speed MP is not going to have as much control as the Wilson Blade. The Speed MP has a thicker beam to be more powerful and is a 100 head size compared to the Wilson Blade’s 98. If you want a racquet that is focused mainly on control then the Wilson would be better but if you want a racquet that is a good all-around type of racquet then look more at the Speed
The EZone 98 is going to be a more powerful frame. Both will have more control than their 100 counter parts but the Blade 98 will have more control than the EZone 98
Great review -- and nice touch with that emerald green shirt (and the ink on the whiteboard) to match the frame
Thank you for the comment and watching the review! I thought it would be a fun thing to do if I could match the racquet as much as I could

Is wilson blade v9 quality control bad? I wanted to buy it but saw qc issues on posts. Shall i stick to yonex? I do find the head shape weird though.

That’s awesome!! I’m glad that I was able to help you make the decision on what racquet to get. What string and tension are you using?

@@brodytaylor2020I believe it was Head Hawk Touch 17 gauge.
Gotcha. That string definitely helps to give feedback not only from it being a 17G but Head strings as a whole tend to do really well with feeback
Any thoughts on Head Speed MP versus the Wilson?
Speed MP is not going to have as much control as the Wilson Blade. The Speed MP has a thicker beam to be more powerful and is a 100 head size compared to the Wilson Blade’s 98.

how this compare to ezone 98? thanks
