    Could you do a review of the Ezone 100? I'm wondering if i should switch away from the Ezone to get more consistency. I'm just wondering if it would be exhausting using a control setup since all poly are control. On top of having a control racket, im afraid it would be too exhausting supplying all of my own power.

      I will definitely put the Ezone 100 on the list of reviews to do. I actually have a demo of it out right now so it will probably not be too far away. What control racquet and setup are you considering?

    Hey Brody! Great video :) I am an intermediate player, having used a Pro Staff 97 LS v11 since I’ve started playing tennis 7 years ago. I love playing with this racket on good days, as it feels so clean and precise when I hit the sweet spot (somewhat like a laser), rewarding the power I invest in. However, being a 97 sq inch racket, the sweet spot feels very small and is quite unforgiving, hence any contact outside the sweet spot feels jarring and weak.
    Would this Percept 100D be something I'm looking for? I have been recommended the Yonex Percept and Babolat Pure Strike. I understand these are control rackets, but what are the main differences between these 2 that would choose one over the other? Are there other alternatives I can demo that can replicate the feel of my Pro Staff, while being more forgiving?
    I would also like to know, if this “feel” will only be achieved is partly due to the smaller sweet spot of a 97 sq inch racket, and would not be possible as long if I use rackets that are larger? I have always had the impression that there is no perfect racket, and a racket with a larger sweet spot will provide more consistent shots but sacrifice precision and feel.
    Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thank you!

      That's awesome that you love your Pro Staff 97 LS! I have a couple of friends that swear by that racquet and will almost play with nothing else.
      The Percept 100D would be something to try but the problem that you are going to run into is that it is heavier than your Pro Staff 97 LS. The same kind of goes for the Pure Strike if you are looking at the standard version of it. If you are okay with trying heavier racquets than those would definitely be ones to try. If you don't want to use heavier racquets than you could try the light versions of each of these racquets or something like the Head Radical MP might be a little easier since it is still a control racquet but a little bit on the lighter side compared to most of them.
      Now the other recommendation that I have for you is one that not as many people would probably think about but let me explain my reasoning for the Wilson Burn 100LS or whichever weight in the Burn line you feel would be most comfortable. Your Pro Staff 97 LS is specially made because of the "S" in the name. That means your racquet's string pattern is an 18X16 which is almost not made anymore except for in the Burn line of racquets. Now the Burn only comes in a 100 head-size but because it still has that S in the name it is going to be a more forgiving than your Pro Staff because of that. You are correct in saying that the larger sweet spot racquets (bigger head-sizes) will sacrifice some precision and feel. You usually will get a racquet that is more arm friendly though because of the bigger head-size since it is more flexible than your Pro Staff.
      The feel that you are trying to get is unique to the Pro Staff 97LS that you have but the Burn is going to have a little more of a similar feel playability wise since it still has that same string pattern.
      I hope this helps and if you will definitely have to let me know how your demoing goes and what you decide to try out first!

      @@brodytaylor2020 Thanks alot for the recommendations and insights! You have been most helpful :) I am definitely down to demo a heavier racket. Unfortunately in my area, I am not able to demo the Clash. I will definitely keep you updated on how I find the Percept and Head Radical

      @@brodytaylor2020 Hey Brody! I am back with some updates. I have tried the Pure Strike 100 16x20 and the Percept 97
      For the Pure Strike 100, I quickly realised that it was not what I was looking for as it did not give me the same feel and precision as my PS97 for my flat shots. Not sure if it is due to the 100 head size or the pure strike racket in general.
      On the other hand, I loved the Percept 97 as the isometric head shape really widened the sweet spot considerably and also gave me a similar feel as my PS97. I really enjoyed it and felt like it was everything I was looking for, well almost... It felt abit too light at 310g (lighter when swinging even compared to my PS97 at 290g?) and made my backhand unstable. I know this issue will iron itself out the more I play with the racket and fine tune my strokes, but my groundstrokes dont feel as satisfying (an analogy would be like Im swinging a badminton racket). May I ask if there are any modifications that can resolve this issue eg. placing lead tape on the frame of the racket? Or would I be better off blind buying a 97D or even 97H since the overall feel of these different Percepts 97 would not differ too much with the increased weight?

    • @nataniaooo
      @nataniaooo 29 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@brodytaylor2020 In addition, I also have the opportunity to test out 2 more rackets. Given my experience with the PS100, I have decided to limit my options to 98 rackets (with an exception)
      1. Percept 100D - I wondered that since I enjoyed the 97 so much, if it would be worthwhile to see if I could have the same feel on the 100D instead? Not sure if this would be a waste of a demo or if I should demo another 98 racket instead
      2. Head Radical MP - heard many glowing reviews of this racket and wanted to compare them for myself
      3. Tecnifibre Tfight 300
      Between the Head Radical MP and the Tecnifibre Tfight 300, which would you say would be the closest to the Percept 97? Or which would you recommend me to try? Thank you so much!

    • @brodytaylor2020
      @brodytaylor2020  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I would say the 100D is going to have more feel and feedback compared to the Speed Pro. Reason for that is because the 100D is a thinner beam and not as stable while the Speed Pro is a little bit thicker and still has an 18X20 string pattern to focus more on control

    • @hybrid11theory75
      @hybrid11theory75 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@brodytaylor2020 It's the other way around. 100D is a little more muted with less stability. They both have the same beam width, 23 mm constant. Speed Pro is heavier in static and SW. It's more for advanced players..

    I want to move from ezone 100SL, I want to move to a bit control, not sure between percept 100L or 100 D (will be much heavier) or ezone 98L or vcore 98L? thanks a lot

    • @brodytaylor2020
      @brodytaylor2020  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      So sticking with the EZone and demoing the 100L would be the best option since that is going to be the most similar racquet.
      If you want to a completely different feel and playability then you could try the Percept 100L. I wouldn’t do the 100D because that would probably be too big of a jump in weight from your current 100SL

    • @brodytaylor2020
      @brodytaylor2020  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Gotcha. Since you are coming from a Percept 97D then either racquet will help increase the sweet spot. After that, it starts to focus on what you would rather have help with.
      I would say that the Gravity Pro will have more control since it is an 18X20 string pattern just like your 97D but the Percept 100D will help give you a little more access to power and spin since the string pattern is 18X19. If you can, I would demo both of them at the same time to get the best comparison and see which one works best for your game before buying one though.

      Since they are only 9 years old than going with any junior racquet that is a 25 like you mentioned should be fine. I personally have not found a big reason for junior players to use the highly expensive frames because they can outgrow the racquet quickly if they hit a growth spurt. If you can find a major deal on the expensive junior racquets then it makes a bit more sense but the lower price ones should do just fine.
