I'd recommend trying the Blade Pro 98 v9 (pro labs) version if you're considering swapping from the RF97. The weight is heavier than the regular v9 version, but slightly lighter than the RF97. I swapped to the Blade Pro 98 18x20 v9 (I also have the 16x19 version), and I couldn't be happier. Slightly lighter than the RF97, but still has amazing plow through and stability.
My previous rackets were V8, and V7. I felt this one is a bit more muted and wasn't sure if I liked it compared to V8, but the results I have been getting are pretty decent. Definitely noticing a little more juice if I flatten it out I do feel it's a bit stiffer but not really flying on me. Now, I am 3.5 knocking on the door, so I played the 100 too to see if it helped, but it is just too light at net and serves on the 16x19 98 are pretty sweet! Pretty sure I am adjusting to it, but we'll see.
I’m a PS 97 v14 user and I demoed the Blade 98 16x19 v9 just because of the great reviews. I think it’s a great racquet. If I were to invest in a switch I would try it with a leather grip to make it more similar to what I’m used to in weight and balance.
I play PS97 v14 too. I was curious about blade v9. Used to have blade v7 18x20. All blades feel mushy to me compared to prostaff but I know what you mean about not hitting triple digit serves consistently. I actually just weighed my prostaff up a bit. I have static weight strung at 345 and swing weight 335. It hits heavy. But can be tiring in doubles. I have my other ones at 337 and SW 324. I just don’t like the off center hits and smaller sweetspot on PS. But everyone I try something different I come back to Prostaffs what did you like better about blade v9??
@@matthewtoothbrushthe only thing I like about the blade was that the serve was easy. Everything else I prefer the pro staff. Yeah there is nothing that feels like the pro staff. It's unique. I have tired some 15 racquet. I currently switched to the ezone 98 with lead at 3 and 9. It's the closest feeling and it's a very easy racquet. I used to weigh my racquet up for extra power and stability. Then I realize why do I do that when I can get a lighter one that can do the same thing. Then you can swing faster for longer. It's just more efficient.
Hi, hope you read this, but I tried the blade and something kept bothering me, and that is the fact of how uncomfortable the placing of the left hand is on the two handed backhand, there is no space and you end up placing the hand in the "V" of the racquet... Do you have any suggestions on this topic or how to fix it?????
Hi, sorry to hear about the issue you're having with hand placement on the blade. Have you tried lowering your bottom hand on the grip? If this doesn't help you can grip the racquet a little higher above the grip. I currently play with the balde and havn't noticed an issue with spacing for the hands but then again I don't have huge hands.
v8 vs v9 largely comes down to Wilson’s QC and the specs of the specific frame you end up with…my friend has a v8 that’s close to 330sw and swings like a club…I have a v9 and the swing weight is 315…it’s too light and unplayable in stock form
@@matthewtoothbrush unfortunately it takes me a long time to figure out if I like a racquet so I start with one. I have no issue customizing but need the SW to be low enough to take it up. I got one Blade V8 that started with a 338 SW and that’s just too much for me.

I think a match between you dudes is long overdue. Really enjoy watching you battle!

It’s mushy and nothing like the pro staff. Pure strike is a lot closer in angle and feel
Why are you moving away from 97v14
@@vincekkit's very hard to consistently make a big serve on it. I could hit triple digits on every 98. On the pro staff v14. It was more like 1 in 10.

I’m very similar compact eastern forehand stroke. What string pattern wld benefit the style ?
Current v core pro 97 user. One handed backhand. Interested in switching for a bit more power and spin
I have a one handed backhand and use head prestige tour 95 racket
What does “a little bit more weight towards the frame” even mean?
In terms of customisation would it need more weight on the handle or head ? I too like heavier racquets
Please review the Blade V9 100…..

Have you guys tried the v9 Pro? How does this compare to it? Is it even worth considering?
You'd probably like the new cx200 scott
whats the main differences between the Blade vs the Pro Staff?
What tension and string did you guys test?
How does this compare to the latest ultra is what i wanna know
Thanks guys, which one did you prefer 16x19 or the 18x20???
we're both playing with the 16x19 but Scott really like the 18x20 as well.

Agreed. I bought 2 V8s and one has a 331 SW and the other 322. It’s like 2 different racquets. I wish I had measured it before I bought it.
That’s why you gotta buy matches rackets from TW

V9 100L and 101L are the best platform rackets wilson makes 100inch
It’s a totally different feel to the Blades.
Yeah didn’t like it. New pure strike all the way.
E core!?
Caught that as well......weird slip. E zone ...V core. Sam Same 😂 🤦♂️
Cant really tell much difference from the V8. No worth the upgrade IMO
Stick to your EZONE 98, Nate.
