Great video, I too have the 22’ w/off-road package, I learned some new things watching your vid. Once more people test drive & understand these G3’s the longer the waiting list will grow for buyers. Luv the overall value.
Great insight on the jeep vs the tundra. I have a 2022 tundra crewmax for my 3 kids. I will be pulling an off road travel trailer for the family so I don't need the 6.5 bed. I had the 6.5 bed prior and never really used it to its full potential.
Enjoy. I just got my tundra a week ago I took a road trip and I still love it. I also plan to do a lil overland, nothing crazy and no crazy mods I mean I’ll probably use these tires to the end and then maybe bigger tires. 1000 mile road trip I got average 18.4 mpg. It will also be a commute car.
Very good & detailed explanation, made me ur subscriber. Helped me chose between F150 Tremor and Tundra. You have done what all marketing can not do, with real examples. will follow you in all your upcoming videos. Thank you!!
Good video!! Not even scripted like other major channels. I think I have probably seen every other Tundra video. You are the only person who's mentioned that the Tundra has an LSD in the front. Are you sure of this ??
believe me you don't have to ask me why step up to a full-size. I went from a Tacoma to a full-sized best decision I ever made truck wise. I'm only six foot one but I'm a pretty big guy and I'm getting older the Tacoma just was not the truck for me. everything they say about seating position for guys over 6 foot is absolutely true
Great review Nick! Thanks for sharing your insights on why you went with the Tundra. I was wondering what happened to the Gladiator after you built it up so nicely. I concur that the Tundra ride is sublime on any terrain.
Loved the video and love the truck!👍 I'm curious to know more about your surgery. I just had L5 S1 herniation surgery 2 weeks ago and am recovering. How did yours go? Subbed. Eastern Oregon? We have recently discovered wallowa and absolutely love it🙏
Interesting, the Limited I sat I at the dealership was ridiculous because I had no headroom, and I'm only 6'3". I fit better in a Nissan Frontier. The Tundra is gigantic outside, but useless inside. This is before I even mentioned the rear seating on the smaller cab. Just appropriate for small children. Forget putting any 6' person in the back. Why get a gigantic truck if I can't fit in it or an occasional passenger. That is my one beef with the Tundra.
@@DiffComms well, enjoy your truck. Seems like you really like it. I still don’t fit, lol. Plus I can’t imagine buying first year Toyotas until they are sorted after a couple of years of recalls and TSBs. It took the face lifted 2016 Toyota Tacoma until 2018 to iron out the cost cutting. Mike Sweers said Toyota made him trim 40 percent of the cost of building the new one, over the old one. It’s going to take a couple of years to sort out the cost cutting with improvement, updated parts. Since it’s the Toyota way to keep designs for over a decade, it should be bone reliable by 2025. Just keep up with all the TSBs and it will sort out to be a reliable Truck. Those who didn’t do it with the 2016 Toyota Tacoma, got a really unreliable Truck. My family has owned Toyotas for over 50 years. Very disappointed with modern Toyota obsession with high margins and cost cutting. I’m one of those Toyota owners that are nostalgic for the old quality Toyota of old.
🇺🇸 $65k+ Rubicon with front lockers that's you might NEVER USE. FT LOCKERS are for extreme rock climbing... but only .000000001% will go to that extreme. EVERYONE else will drive it to Walmart.
@@DeadOnTrail fr lockers are only needed for boulder crawling. But, very very few wranglers owners do it. I'd would just get the sport and you can go off road and save tens of thousands. Good luck finding a Rubicon at 50k. I'm in Colorado.
Is there a vehicle on the planet that actually achieves epa rated mpg without cheesing it? I've had a lot of cars and those figures are always perfect world not real world.
Check out the video from: Bayou Rigs in TH-cam, he lost his brakes in a 2022 Tundra 1794 with just over 3 K miles ! No parts available and the Tundra will be out of service for about 1 1/2 months.
Wow…. With all the problems the Tundra has? Not to mention it’s the ugliest truck ever produced. I know two people that bought 2022 Tundra and after few months already traded for a Chevy and a Ford. Had multiple problems and the styling was terrible, inside and outside. Toyota missed badly with the Tundra. Front end looks like a giant grill with a truck attached to it. Inside dash looks like they designed it in about 5 minutes.
Yeah, what a piece of crap. Who wants plenty of room, power and capability for gear and people for those who actually take their trucks out. With the Gladiator you'll get to regear when you add some gear and/or 37s just to make it run adequate on highways or up hill. Makes perfect sense. Really, their both great trucks. Get what works for you. '22 Tundra would have been a real contender if it was available when I got my JTR last year.

Totally fair. I do bring a lot of gear. So, I def felt the 5' wasn't sufficient. Thanks for the comment!
Absolutely right about bed size. Especially if you intend to put a pop-up truck camper in it.
Now that we Nick is tall and has a huge pillar banging head. Another good video from him about the Tundra
Thanks, Bart!
Beautiful truck ! Love the black accent around the grill 👍🏼

Nice! I am 1800 miles in and averaging 16.8 mpg, but I do a lot of city driving
Why wouldn’t you love it? Dumb comment
Nice video fun and informative

The front end looks like a mask in a Mortal Kombat movie. Scorpian. Sub Zero. One of those characters. I can't unsee it.
Hahah I can see that now too!

That's exactly what I had! I am 11 months out from surgery and feeling 99%. I hope you recover quickly!
@@DiffComms Awesome!! So glad to hear that🙏
Good decision. The reliability of Toyota.
How much was it to wrap just the grille ?
$700
Have one almost the exact same. I’m in Portland, where did you have the chrome wrapped? Was it reasonable? Thanks!
Portland Custom Wraps. Cost me $700 for front and rear chrome wrap
I love the silver with black trim…
Yeah, it's grown on me. Thanks for the comment!
Is the Toyota grill logo a sensor too because on my 17 Corolla it is i see people wrap it all the time too like 😵
I don't believe it is

Was it the '22? Was the seat all the way down? Because, like I said, I'm 6'5" and have maybe 4"+ of head room in mine
And I've driven the new Frontier and had WAY less room haha
