So many beautiful things about Rush: But the one I've been thinking about the most, lately, is the sheer amount of opposition they've gone up against. The music industry tried for so long to be unaccepting of them. But Rush persisted. Insisting on always making the sort of music they wanted. They found a legion of fans that loved them for that and became a force to be reckoned with. As much the industry fought them, they cannot deny the success the band has earned. It's truly inspirational to see how they clawed their way to the top against all odds.
I never thought about it that way growing up in the 80s, but you are exactly right. With all the negatives of social media these days, it would be one way they would certainly have gotten their music out straight to the people. Some of my best memories of the 80s are watching this band for sure. Thanks for the opportunity to relive a little bit of it.
They did it there way no compromise, and what a fallowing, just class all the way, they were always about the fans who paid for a ticket, that was never ever lost with them respect 🇨🇦
I agree 💯👍 with you. Yes, others will come and go and go with someone that's as good, possibly better. Hard to imagine but, it will happen but, Neal Peart did it first. Had he not, it may never may have happened. They did it first. They will always be the first at what we are listening to. PEACE LOVE AND ROCK N ROLL TIDE ROLL Y'ALL
My thoughts exactly, if we could only turn back time. I saw them live several times with my friends back in the 80s . If I could go back, I would absolutely in a heartbeat.
I definitely agree with you. Just can't get enough of Rush. They are quite addictive. The things that I have downloaded on TH-cam. Older concerts, newer ones, older and newer videos. Any that I can download. I particularly like the Grace Under Pressure and Power Windows albums. But I do like all of it. Take care. 🎉😊🎸✌️
Swifty here I have seen them since 1977 I am guessing over 30 times they are the thinking mans band i went to the last tour and did not want to leave because I new this was it
R40 Tampa Florida was my last show. Been to 14 shows starting with the Grace under pressure tour in California. For me, they're more than just a magical musical power trio. So sad it ended, but they went out doing it their way, and on top.
New subscriber. You have good taste. It's like I hired a guy to put all my favorite Rush tunes together. Live. And have never been played on a radio station in the Western Hemisphere. Great job!
I saw Rush live 10 times between the 70's and 2010's. Through all their musical changes, I never stopped loving this band. Albums are spectacular but live they were the absolute bosses.
I believe they were told to basically "play ball". That didn't set well with NP(the professor). If we go out, it's going to be on our terms. I jumped on board the rush wagon back in 1982. Loved them from the get go. I really miss seeing them in concert.
Top sound!!!!!!. Neil peart is one of the best drummer of the world. Everybody had right. Rip neil, also my parents. Mayby they meet all in heaven. Good night thursday.
Dear Lord I beg your forgiveness!! Have Mercy ..for i have sinned greatly!! I had many chances to see this band...but alas only twain times ...but the best twain ever!!!!!😅
I'm sooooo sad, that i saw rush never in switzerland, because they very never in switzerland. I don't know why. I think, not many people knows this band. One of my favourite band of canada. Have a good night world. See us at 26.04. 2024. Bye from willy with y from the headquater of victorinox knives in ibach-schwyz.
Canadian 🇨🇦intelligent heavy rock band , Rush . They are very awesome !!! Tom Sawyer , YYZ , Love 💖that !!! 👍🏻………Playable this sound with only 3 instruments🎸🥁 . Only 1 word , " The Shit !!! " . 😂
This is part of a series, Xanadu from Moving Pictures tour is in part 3! I have a playlist on my channel with all parts (except part 2 right now, as I am working on copyright stuff with it right now)
I see that everyone who commented either didn't watch the whole video, or needs an urgent eye doctor. There are 2 songs that are scaled with a horrible AI that can't even see its fingers and faces well.

I got to see them 13 times in concert, including taking my children to their first concert, R40. So many songs and so many memories.
Yeh I took my son when he was about 8 to his first rush concert.
My first was Hemispheres, last, R40. 8 or9 in between. I took my 15yo to Clockwork Angels then a few years later to R40.
Nobody cares
@@joshuafriedman1371 Says the guy with Meatloaf on his playlist. Ouch.
Only got to see them 11 times over the years

If We could turn back time... Luckly their music still "lives" and I saw them twice. "Neil where ever You are now", We miss You.
At least we’ll always have their music. Neil will be forever missed.
@@blakeandotherstuff Great video
I feel the same for both Neil and Eddie Van Halen. I think about them and their impact on rock every single day.
He sure will didn’t even get to meet him but what an awesome person when he spoke you listened very sad that he has left us 😞
My thoughts exactly, if we could only turn back time. I saw them live several times with my friends back in the 80s . If I could go back, I would absolutely in a heartbeat.
I don't know about anyone else, but I can't never get enough of listening and watching RUSH!!! Best band ever! (RIP N.P.)

They played Germany, though. Most often they played in the U.S. and Canada.
More guitar and emotion in each note ❤
Beautiful.
La Villa Strangiato. What a masterpiece. Unreal.

Le transfiero mi música al batero Jaime Marambio es súper secó para los tarros i su hija Joselin Marambio
Geddy Lee is the base. He is number one.
